I miss those days when our comment section was mostly in sync with so much positive energy. When did it go wrong?…
ππ, yep it's just crazy.
I just always fail to understand why some people would continue to watch dramas that they have so much issues with. Watch every episode and then come and complain about every little thing.
Not say that you cannot be displeased with a drama or actor. But to continue day after day week after week.
I have never watched more than 10 episodes of anything I have lots of complaints or issues with.
I just drop them & go and find something else that would bring me joy.
I also quite like this one... I think it says a lot that the screenwriter is also the author of the novel, hence…
Plan to read that novel next month, I had started but ended up reading Beautiful Bones 1st. I will check that author out. Thank You for the suggestion. ππ
I just went to look up the author and the book summaries look good. Will be reading soon.
I think you mistake the obsession with skinship as the usual fast pace romance drama you referred to. Many people…
I would have loved to see that too. Because it was so sweet. But I do not think that the drama has no merit or is less than because those things did not happen.
My imagination is pretty good and I read more than I watch shows. So I am always very critical when it comes to adaptations, but I am enjoying the drama for what it is. Also the author is the script writer, so she changed her characters and story as she saw fit or whatever the production crew ask to be changed.

The character is not a man because he is a little hesitant and shy?
I have read the novel and enjoyed it. I also know that their skinship was well played out in the novel. I even missed the library scene. But I see no problem with how the relationship is progressing and it is romantic to me. All relationships do not go along the same route. Many people date and even after marriage they can take sometime to get into the physical side of said relationship. This does not mean that they are not romantic nor have less love for each other than others.
Also MANY people do not like to show public displays of affection even if they are madly in love. Even if at night in bed or at home they are very loving and touchy feely. It just isn't their character.
I am tired of seeing the reincarnation assumptions peddled as FACT.
The only characters that were reincarnated are the leads, Shi Yi and Zhou Sheng Chen according to the novel. Mei Xing was never mentioned to be the reincarnation of that crazy wicked Prince. All Mei Xing said to Shi Yi in the novel was that he feels as if he has owed Zhou Sheng Chen in his last life. Because he has followed and have been friends with him since they were kids and he is working for him so hard up to now.
How could that be confirmation that he was the Prince. If people are reincarnated kindly point me to the chapters from the novel that says so. As I can't remember reading that.
Also, no we will not see them remembering their past life, because HELLO China censorship. I think that the manner in which the writer and the others have used to pull in the past life into this story is pretty great.
One and Only is a fantastic story and drama, but Forever and Ever is the ORIGINAL NOVEL. The historical life was just snippets of Shi Yi memory that she would remember and had started to forget too. She was the only one that knew about that past life. One and Only was a very nice treat but I am here for the NOVEL adaption. After watching "You Are My Glory" and other dramas being adapted from novels so far this year, this is my 2nd favourite; YAMG being #1.
I wonder what is the obsession with fast paced romance and skinship that many have. I love a great romantic love story that has kisses and whatnot.
But in real life all relationship do not happen like that. If we think about some dramas the leads would be kissing & sending hot grazes left right and center without any substance. Plus you would have lots of complaints there too.
Yes by now Shi Yi & ZhouSheng Chen are married, but they still don't really know each other. Before the engagement the talked only via email for 6 months & that wasn't anything personal or heavy. Then they only met a few more times before getting married, again they had work commitments couldn't be together.
Also, not all men are the same when dating. Even if they are married they are still getting to know each other and getting comfortable. I find the pace to be nice & very realistic. It shows that he respects and cherishes Shi Yi . Thus wants to make sure he is comfortable and she as well. Obviously we see Shi Yi is a little more willing to be hands on and take things to the next level.
Although they have made many changes from the novel, I am enjoying it. Obviously in the novel they are more romantic and have already had a wedding night & many nights up to were we are in drama land . All dramas will not follow the same script (formula).
People complain that he was too domineering and Shi Yi was a doormat in the novel now he is too soft, weak and awkward in the drama π€¦πΎββοΈπ€¦πΎββοΈ. Can't please everybody.
Mo Bao Fei Bao did an excellent job with the script and I am enjoying Allen Ren and Bai Lu acting.
No no, it is just an assumption of few audience who put in this way that people got confused and took it as it…
Yep. All these people keep talking about who was reincarnated and who wasn't. The novel made no mention at anytime to others were reincarnated. Only The leads. Mei only said once in the novel that he was following (friends) Zhoucheng Sheng since small," it's seems as if he owed him in his past life".
Many took this as a fact that he was the Prince ππ. Reaching much!!!!
sorry to say this...but the FL is too clingy and the reasons ML gave for pushing her away is completely valid..Why…
I liked this drama, but not as an adaptation of the novel. It was alright for what it was. I think the drama is a very watered down version of the novel. The novel had so much character development for both of them and she even pursued her own interest more clearly. These actors could not pull of the last half of the novel if the story was left as it. Dramas with a mature feel in my opinion sometimes do not do so well. So these types of shows will continue to be aired instead.

I hate wasting my time.

They are slowly and sweetly falling I'm love.
ZhouSheng Chen students are too cute ππ.
Watch & make your own judgement.
I'm at episode 20. Was going to wait until tomorrow to watch the others but I caved in πππ
Thank You for the suggestion. ππ

But hey that's just my 2 cents.
