now I'm really thinking SML doesn't actually like ziguang, because how the hell is he so nice to other people…
He has weird self esteem issues with her. He criticises everything she does - it’s not giving that he truly likes her. And even if he does, they’re not a good fit
Am I the only one who found ep 9 so toxic?! when she thought he has a son and treated him so badly. I would get…
I'd say the biggest reason she was mad was that he didn't tell her he had a kid. In China, if you've had a kid, it's considered a special situation, so if you date someone like this, when you've never been married, lots of people will ask you why you're dating a person who has a kid when you haven't been married yet. The main point is that, if it were true, and he didn't tell her about his "special situation" early on, then in their culture, it would be considered taking advantage of her. It looks like he's taking advantage of her youth or naivete because he didn't tell her and wants her to fall in love with him first before she fully understands the situation. That's why their reaction was like that anyway
Okay, so guys I don't like the scene where they kiss for the first time - let me explain why! She is drunk, and…
It's okay, I agree. The director should've been more careful on this point. IMO, we've definitely gotten to a point where consensus in the drama universe where a kiss should be avoided when a character is drunk, but many dramas still miss this point. It's not like things in a drama need to be perfect, but I personally think it's always a good opportunity to also teach the general public about consent when someone is drunk. She was drunk. Whatever she says in that state now doesn't count,
😂omg!! I was like, " The most fantastical part of this show is that he's a specialist doctor that tends to come home early and also does most of the cooking😂" I was like, "welp, I guess that's why they call it fantasy😂"
I loved this so much. I went in with low expectations because I'd heard that it was overly light and didn't have much going on in the plot. That's not the case. It does have a couple of filler episodes, maybe 5 or 6, but considering the vibe of the show, I was happy to watch them. I was looking for a show that shows simple daily human lives without much pressure. I think it fits that well to an extent, but the show is not shallow and has some angst, so I wouldn't say it even fits that completely. It's still a good mindset to be in when you watch it: simple, with some heart. But it's really great. Maybe it's because I binged it, but the pace was pretty good to me. Of course, it isn't perfect, but for a romance show, it's pretty darn good
idk man I enjoyed watching this drama so much for me it didn't feel like it was dragging or something might be…
I’m really shocked rn because I previously read about pacing issues and people complaining that the show was too linght and empty. Even after finishing it I’m wondering if it’s really this show they were talking about because how? It’s so good though
