Is Soochul's wife genuinely kind-hearted and innocent or is she actually a hidden villain with a second motive???…
My guess is she is a hidden villian that won't come to play until about the half way point of the show (perhaps once everyone else has grown to trust her a little more). She didn't appear kind-hearted or genuine when she was playing that game with the grandpa.
They are both broken people. They would be much happier if they removed themselves from her cheabol family. They…
Omg, same!! I'm routing for them and their reconnection as a married couple. I love how sparks are mostly being reignited from her side, whereas he is mostly on survival mode but also starting to become protective due to her condition and growing jealously.
It was a good start, but sometimes it did feel like too much was happening.I can't even imagine living in that…
Oh man, I just finished watching the second episode and your observation and prediction was on point. I'm sooo glad we got see more from her perspective and her personality in ep 2. I completely agree with your analysis of HI. Now, I just wish HW can see what we have seen of HI and she doe in fact love him and protects him when she can against anyone who tries to harm him or bad mouth him. I bet she didn't even sign a prenup and I'm pretty sure if they did in fact get a divorce the assets would have been split. It seems as though she went against her family's wishes, especially her mother, to get married to HW because if how much she loved him.
Wow, I completely missed this. At first it seemed like she might have made up her illness to see how he would react based off rewatching the trailer and some scenes in episode one. It appears she isn't lying at all. πππ I guess I'll have to prepare myself for a sad ending.

I would love to see more from her perspective, although I doubt we'll be shown much of next episode. The preview for the next episode indicated that we'll get the ML looking after the FL and getting jealous too with her interactions with another guy.
Not starting this until someone spoils the ending. Happy? Sad? Stupid? I've been burned too many times by sageuks.
We cannot say for now, but hopefully a happy ending. They're might be some sad moments though. I think the preview for the last episode suggests a possible timeskip.
Both ep 13 and 14 were sooooo good and exciting! Not one boring second. They really stepped up their game after…
I completely agree with you. I wonder if we'll get a redemption arc for Lee In's mother as it seems she has been completely unaware of the uncles actions the entire time (which still baffles me) or will she go down with the uncle. From the preview, it appears that she is more interested in keeping Lee In safe and alive. I wouldn't mind a redemption arc, like her warming up to the crown prince etc. He needs more older women in his life that stay alive. He has had too much grief and loss to deal with at his young age.
I don't think I have loved it **unconditionally** per say. But I have pretty much enjoyed all episodes from ep…
I think the main aspect that grips me to the drama is Lee In and his acting.I think he is an impeccable King. I do enjoy the plotline too, but there are some areas where I think it wasn't very strong (somewhere in the middle), such as the FL's reason for revenge. I personally would have loved a stronger reason for her to want to get revenge, of course in a way that would still allow the FL and ML to be together without entering toxic territory. However, I'm able to overlook this because the scenes really land when they need to, e.g. the main leads meetings before Lee In became king, the late king's death scene, the intensity between the main leads when Mong Woo returns from "death" and works in the palace , Lee In finding out Mong Woo is a woman, Hee soo protecting Lee In from her own assassination attempt, the main leads honest conversation about their motives etc. So yeah, it is definitely going down as one of my favourite Historical dramas for sure.
