I loved this episode soooo much. I was happy to see the main leads FINALLY have an open and honest conversation about their motives and feelings towards each other, away from the baduk table.
Lastly, I loved the twist of events at the end of ep13. I'm looking forward to the demise of his uncle. I despise his character soo much I find it difficult to even look at the screen when he is talking.
To add to the last point...with possibly children around them or even the crown prince beside them.
Yes, exactly this!!! Also, I would love Hee Soo to be a mother figure for the Crown Prince. The poor boy has basically lost all the women is his life, that being his 2 mothers and his sister now living away from the Palace (albeit for her safety)
Ignore the revenge, and watch it as though the FL is the villain ; your eyes will roll less.
She's being sooo selfish πππ. There is only soo much patience a girl can have. At this point, I'll have him!!! I mean, I'll gladly take him off my hands ππ
Me watching FL make stupid decisions that inadvertently come back to bite her in the ass:https://tenor.com/bripw.gif
Frrr. Even though her decisions, when it comes to her "revenge", have been very stupid, I do think it made sense for her to question the King's true motives after his conversation with his uncle. His performance was very convincing, even I doubted myself for a moment. However, of course, I quickly came back to my senses π. Unlike the FL, I know I can read the ML like a book π€ π
I'm convinced he just said it because of his uncle and that's the only logical way cause throughout the whole…
Yes, I completely agree with you. Not only that, but his actions since the death of his brother has been in order to fulfill his last wishes. I also think the reason he hasn't bed anyone thus far is because he cannot have an heir if he is to make his nephew the Crown Prince. He mostly definitely was just putting up a front to fool his uncle, who he knows he cannot trust. I was shocked with the way he was yelling at the King in private. (Quite literally, WHO does he think he is.) At this point, I cannot even bare the sight of the uncle anymore. He is sooo controlling and entitled. I despise how he claims all his decisions and claims are in the best interest of Lee In, which has been shown multiple times to be incorrect. I somehow despise his character more than the 2ML's father. Perhaps, it's because his uncle is technically supposed to be number one supporter, due their blood relation. I'm certain it is either Lee In's mother or uncle that poisoned the late king.
The lightning hitting the exact same tree the late king planted for the current king does seem to be a sign and…
Hahaha, so true. I personally don't mind sad endings. However, what I would like to see is Hee Soo be completely honest to the King and allow herself to love him. And also woild like the King to know her true identity
I got that as well. The thunder and burning tree that the late king planted seemed to have confirmed a sad ending…
I don't think the story would be nonsense since they have been foreshadowing that something bad might happen to Lee In from ep1. It would just be unfortunate and unfair on him. That being said, I don't oppose then running away from the Palace together or faking their deaths.

Interesting. That you see the burning tree as a sign of new beginnings. I thought it was a sign that the current King's reign is going to end soon, since it was a tree planted by the late King for his brother. Now that I think about it, seeing the tree burn as a sign of a new start does make more sense as it happened right after a romantic moment. However, I still think that the show will have a sad ending, resulting in the death of the current King to allow for the Grand Prince to ascend the throne.
I completely agree with your point about Lee In's analytical skills. I'm always left surprised by his wittiness and fast thinking. He truly is the ultimate baduk mastermind in the show, with his only weakness being Hee Soo that sometimes clouds his judgement. I think the show could have been so much better if Hee Soo had the same skills outside of baduk. The only way I can rationalise it is that is clouded by her desire and now "responsibility" to avenge the death of her friend and father.

When he said that " I will be a king till the end of my days " it felt really ominous, especially with the thunder…
I got that as well. The thunder and burning tree that the late king planted seemed to have confirmed a sad ending for the King that will allow for the Grand Prince to ascend the throne like he was meant to. I wonder if Mong Woo would stay in the palace after that to look after the prince on behalf of the Queen and the King (if they both die). Although. I don't see how she could fight off the King's mother and her allies without the help of the King.
It is indeed time for her to do so...I think we will definitely see this tomorrow or latest in Ep. 13 after the…
Agreed. Most likely, next episode will have FL conflicted with what to do, probably ending with her realising she was completely wrong and side with the King. I think we won't see her openly loving the King until episode 13. The preview for episode 12 hinted that the episode would be centred around her internal battle of loving the king and seeking revenge for her pain and trauma.
