im overthinking but what if king never finds out mongwoo is a girl. i’m fearing a sad ending
Ngl, I would love this ending, however, u think he will definitely found out she is woman. Even for the fact that she is his mentor's daughter which I feel is an important fact for him to know or will be revealed in the court
I'm a little disappointed by the writers. The FL keeps talking about revenge but we don't see her do anything.
I see what you mean, but I never thought she would truly execute on what she has been saying. She is just hurt and believes that taking revenge will heal her pain or whatever but she doesn't know the full truth of the matter that transpired 3 years ago.
I love how the romance is playing out in this drama, it's very unique ... but what I love more is the answer the…
Ngl, I felt sooo relieved when he said that to Sang Hwa. I was concerned with how he would react once he founds out that Mongwo has indeed been plotting against him. And I agree, I love how unique the love story is. At first I wanted Mong who's tru e identity to be revealed to the King almost immediately but now I don't that reveal taking it's time. The ending scene had me completely shocked by the King's boldness.
Most likely won’t happen until towards the end of the drama.
Yh, same. I'm really enjoying it too. I actually was going to stop watching after episode 4 and resume once the show had over 8 episodes but I think I'll will stick to watch it weekly. I'm intrigued about how everything will play out. I've decided to keep my expectations low and just everything unravel with time.
I wonder if it’s perhaps an affection that comes from a place of having found someone Yi In can just be himself…
Yh I see what you mean. But personally I just think he is infactuated with her. There is a slight difference. I think love will come in the next two episodes.
Nope I think he’s spineless. He reminds me of Li Jing in TMOPB. They seem so in love with the FL lead but every…
Well, the King didn't have to kill his father in such a gruesome manner. I'm pretty sure getting back at the King for killing you father is a valid reason for revenge. I'm not saying I support his desire for revenge, but it also makes sense for him to dislike the King too. I also don't think it's so black and white. He doesn't blame the King for all his misfortunes. I'm pretty he despises the guy who betrayed their family the most as his actions and lies are truly what got his father killed.

Umm, I agree with what you said at the end about the ML. However, I think it is a little harsh to call 2ML spineless. He had every right to side with his father. He seemed torn between his family duty to support his father and assisting FL because of his feelings for her. I didn't see it as him being heavily in love with the FL, it seemed more like a crush and he just didn't want her to get hurt. Tbh, it was her actions that her foolish for handing herself in. Lastly, the result of actions was unfortunate. I don’t think there was anyway for him to have foreseen things going south. His plan to help both his father and the FL would have worked if Yoo Hyn Boo didn't betray them.
Most likely won’t happen until towards the end of the drama.
I've seen some of those comments. But I don't think he knows just yet that Mong wo is a woman. I think if he did he would have had a better chance at knowing more about her past and background. When he spoken to his right-hand man he mentioned that they couldn't find anything on him.

Agreed, especially now that Mong wo is wrapped up in palace politics. He cannot possibly reveal his true identify without ppl demanding he be killed/executed.

Yes, I agree with this, except this might an unpopular opinion. I don't think the King is in love with Mong wo yet. I think he is just infactuated and captivated by her due to all the reasons you mentioned. I wouldn't call it love yet, however it is of course heading in that direction.
I'll hate her if she forgives the king or have any romantic relationship with him
I'm like 90% sure this is going to happen. I personally don't think what the King did is irredeemable. Yes, it's horrible what happened to her. But alot of her pain wasn't caused directly by the King. There many others at play too.
Does anyone else really like the 2ML? I don't necessarily want him to be with the FL, but for once 2ML isn't overly annoying. His character is very layered and I personally think he redeemed himself over this past few episodes. You can tell he really is just trying to do his best and I never thought he was 100% on his father's side, at least politically. Of course, seeing your father slaughtered right in front of eyes will scar you and would lead most people to want to avenge their father. I just hope he doesn't end up suffering again or be killed in helping the FL with her "revenge".
I don't know, king's behavior makes me very confused, something must have happened besides what we have seen,…
How I've interpreted his change in character is that his brother's downward spiral into madness and inevitable death took a massive toll on him. His brother's suddenly change in character from a doting brother to someone he couldn't even recognise anymore must have brought him soo much pain. It is very clear that his brother was poisoned and therefore he cannot trust anyone in the palace. I think all of this lead him to swiftly change into a cold and distant person, severing any ties he had with Mongwo despite him not displaying any signs of treachery at the time of the King's death. I'm not too sure if he actually believes Mong Wo betrayed him by "writing" the confession or if he has just let himself believe it to make himself feels less guilty. Anyways, I said all this to say that despite what he shows to Mong Wo he does deeply care about him and we have seen it by his actions and change in behaviour whenever he is playing Baduk, and he also often smiles when he thinks about Mong Wo. Honestly, keeping Mong-wo at arms length is probably safer for him because as we saw in the last couple of episodes anyone close to the King is at risk of being killed. As we know, if Mong-wo wasn't so close to the King he wouldn't have been pulled into all the palace politics.
She is his chamber court lady, which is an actual position for court ladies. We do not know if they have sexual…
Ah ok. Makes sense, thank you. I wasn't sure if she was the late King's wife (but changed the actress) or if she was the current King's wife. I'm not sure if missed something in last week's episodes but what happened to the late King's wife. We have seen her children but not her.
