Title Captivating the King Spoiler
She is his chamber court lady, which is an actual position for court ladies. We do not know if they have sexual…
Ah, ok. So she isn't a concubine yet? Also, just to confirm that we are talking about the same person. I'm referring to the woman who is ill.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
The "do you still expect my help" is meant as in, ''after all this shit I made u go through, do you trust me enough…
Yes, and I'm also glad that they showed us some of the things going in his head. At times, he almost seems like a different person (and for good reason), and I do miss his old self. His flashback regretting what he did to his friend and when he told her he would protect her/him has his patron.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
“Do you still expect my help?” 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I feel for the guy, I…
My exact thoughts. The last sentence made me laugh out loud. It's soo true. I can see that scene play out in my head. He is soo infatuated with Mong Woo. People keep claiming that the King is bisexual and likes Mong Woo romantically. Personally, I don't see that. I think, just like the title of the show, he is just captivated by Mong Woo and doesn't know why and I would exactly call it love yet, at least in the romantic sense but rather a love between old friends.

Righttt!!! Literally my thoughts. Throughout the 4th episode I wanted to know what was going on his head. It was…
Personally, I think he just succumbed to the darkness at least when he killed Kim Jong Bae. I believe he cut off everyone around, like mong do because he probably thought it was the best thing to do since his actions already caused soo much pain and suffering. I'm sure he still cares for his people. It would be interesting if Hang Soon was revealed to be still alive. There is definitely a possibility of this

Hyun Bo deserves the death penalty for this shit he's doing to his sister are they even siblings cause WTF
Frrr. Perhaps they are half siblings. It is the reason I can think. But regardless of that i still can't wrap my head around how he could treat his sister in such a way. It was tooo much. His laugh as well whilst she was being tortured was heinous.

i really like this show so far, except for the disguise trope that needs to end fast. imagine if they keep the…
For real!! I commend the actor he played the late King. Although, I didn't particularly like for how he treated his maid/servant, there were times I did sympathise with him and his situation. The burden of the crown seemed too much, especially for someone who was being poisoned. He was correct with his suspicion that someone was out to get him.

speechless after watching ep4....prince jinhan (now king lee in) what happened to you? what's going on inside…
Righttt!!! Literally my thoughts. Throughout the 4th episode I wanted to know what was going on his head. It was such a drastic change. The way I tried to rationalise it was thinking that perhaps his brother's was the final straw which lead him to just no longer want to be nice. I think his ultimate goal was to find his brother's killer which he thought was kim jong-bae. Hence there was no hesitation to kill him. However, I started suspecting his mother of poisoning the late king from episode 2 and even more now after witnessing everything unravel. The Queen Dowager had absolutely no remorse and she seemed like would do absolutely anything for Jin Han.

SO, maybe now FL enters the palace as Mong Woo again a man since women are not technically allowed to participate…
Yh, I'm too sure why she is entering the place as mong woo. It seems too obvious it is her. Unless, she wants to deceive the King into believing their are no hard feelings. As whether she should be dead, well who is to day that her death was announced. He wasn't that important to get such announcement so as far as the King is concerned Mong Woo should be coming back from his 3 years of punishment. Personally, I would have preferred if she came back as a women it would have changed the dynamics.

Honestly, there were soo many meaningful moments and quotes I saved in the final episode.
what are triple AAA Historical cdramas? I generally prefer dramas were female lead is strong and has some swordsmanship.

Not really. I only ever watched one cdrama. I still haven't really delved into cdramas. I was planning on starting a journey to love.

I'm finishing off the Queen's Umbrella, the red sleeve and the story of park's marriage contract. And then watching the Knight Flower and Captivating the King whilst their airing.

Yh, for me it's more the fact that the actors playing for main leads are not what envisaged the characters to look like. And although, i have enjoyed the dramas the leads have been in before i didn't really see any chemistry in the trailers and teasers.

Is it really? I've been reluctant to start that one. I've read the webtoon and was excited it was going to get an adaptation but I wasn't too sure about the cast.

No, I did realise that. But either way, there were a few messages I took away from the show and so quotes I liked at the beginning and end of the final episode

I think this will only be possible when more and more people start to value community.

Completely agree!!! Well said! Personally, I didn't really care about the revenge plotline. I mainly watched for the community aspect - community is important more than ever in this day and age and yet we often forget how as humans we thrive when are surrounded by loved ones and have a place to call home.
