I also feel a bit apprehensive about the J-version. I saw the trailer and it feels like they made things a bit softer, so I don't know. Hope I'm wrong!
But I love the taiwanese version! Even though it's not "copy paste" from the manga, I saw it right after I read it and thought it was very similar and very well made too. Is a great drama if you look at it independently from the manga.
