The main actress is a 19 year old irl, its not like a 30 year old is acting like a seventeen year old, and why did you have to compare it to kdrama lol, instead of thing welp kdrama are better you might have thought maybe this is not the best jdrama? Its just lighthearted, think of it as comedy rather than mystery.

Asada is just testing them he wants to see if he can break them up that annoying brat was certainly an act when in reality he is just curious about the unusual pair, that is what i think and mei is definitely the manipulative one.

Because his character is not going to be the same in the rest of the drama lol, the annoying personality is an act, and mei isn't innocent, she selifishly wants ikkun for herself when she is clearly not as happy as she shows. And like it as not asada stacks up higher in credits that might be a hint of what is to come.

This is kinda similar to hana nochi hare, girl loves her childhood sweetheart (SL) and the main lead is a goofy elite, and in both cases i started watching for the second leads, (taishi and yuma) the personality of main lead is same to same but there is a vast difference between the personality of childhood sweethearts, tenma kun is as pure as snow while hiro kun is umm not so pure.

Wasn't the main girl boring as well? As the main lead actor wasn't much interesting either in comparison, not from this drama but i consider yuma(SL) to be a far better actor than yuta (ML)
