I think the focus of this drama (as most of Reply dramas) on the character development and story telling. Like…
That doesn't have anything to do with the level of development, every jail is a shithole. I just saw people calling this drama cute, and I get it that the tv producers are not brave enough to show the realistic aspect of life in jail, but I still can't watch it for its 'cuteness'. I watched Rectify, so I feel that Prison Playbook would feel like a weird parody after it.
I actually managed to watch it on kissasian with my adblock turned on. Dunno why.
I use AdBlock and UBlock. But for example, just yesterday I couldn't watch some other drama but managed to watch Amachan. I'm not sure why's that but I'm glad lol
I think they want to remain light and positive about the whole thing, but they show bits of the awful things that…
Thanks for the info! It's just as I thought, I don't think they're brave enough to show the real hardships that prisoners go through (rapes, beatings, guard corruption etc)... I'm not sure I'd like to watch a light version of it, I'd probably think all the time "oh how unrealistic".
I just think there is nothing cute about prison life. Not one bit.
Most of them will be released in 2019, not 2018... and I can't put all of them in one article :/
Korean webtoon adaptations are a bit tricky. I remember writing an article on some of them in 2016 and they still haven't been released lol That's why I'm reluctant to put them in articles unless they have a release date. No, I don't think there is, search here: https://mydramalist.com/articles
Does anyone know why they awarded the best producer and scriptwriter but excluded the director? I couldn't find any info about that, let me know if you find out anything.
