I feel like they won't follow the book exactly and changed the names just so that there aren't any spoilers from the people who have read the book because a reoccurring theme of the drama so far has been the mystery of XE's past.

There Hunan is restricted in my country too, but if you search in iQiyi, qq (Tencent), the TV version usually comes out at the top search. If you scroll down, there will be a different one labelled DVD/uncut version. That version only has up to episode 17 uploaded. Episode 18 still has the preview character in the corner.
I don't think it's VIP only, because usually if it is, it is labelled clearly as VIP access only. There's only the "preview" label for episode 18 today.

From today's previews, it looks like she only decides to go with Yun Xan to Northern Yan because of the misunderstanding that Yuwen Yue only views her as a pawn/slave and that her adoptive brother died because he was a pawn to the Yuwen family.
I wonder if they will get past all of the sad Yan Xue parts next week? I'm really looking forward to when XE gets to Northern Yan to find that Mister.

The Journey of Flower (c-drama)
Legend of the Condor Heroes (2008 version, c-drama) I heard the 2017 version is pretty good too, but I haven't watched it yet.
Iljimae (2008 ver. K-drama) or the Chinese remake The Vigilantes in Masks.
Faith (k-drama)
Princess Jieyou (c-drama) is a pretty decent drama, but there's a huge change between the lighthearted 1st half and the more mellow 2nd.
