Came for Dohwan, stayed for Min Jae. You really can't predict life.
But yes, Sejoo is a real show stealer. I'm curious to see how he would interact with Tae Hee since her No-Bullshit radar is strong. It would be so interesting since not even Shi Hyun can fool her easily. .... ... P.S. Dohwan should consider being a voice actor. His voice is a serial killer trying to slaughter all of the fangirls (& fanboys). I won't be surprised if it made the headlines.
If you're gonna have a character as bland as Joo Hyuk you should at least have an actor who isn't actually blander…
I was about to start this drama yet you had to find one of my hated traits lol I hate bland characters so I'm hoping the plot as promising as people say to redeem it.
The difference between how the people took the movement in SK & Japan is baffling. It didn't have much impact in Japan but in S.Korea it was quite BIG.
I'm glad a lot of people stood up. I was a bit surprised when a lot of them ended up admitting, apologizing and quitting. I thought they would never admit to such claims and since most of the cases happened in past (therefore harder to prove) so they wouldn't have any fear but I was wrong.
And when it first started, I worried of the negative aspect. There were a lot of claims thrown around (not really negative as long as no name is dropped) but those that had "hints" had people criticizing whoever fits the description. Like 2AM Changmin. The reporter had to come to his rescue so people would stop going after him. And of course the few, possible false accusations that could mingle around the true ones because people are very quick to blame and take sides.
However, at least the postive outweighs the negative, so this movement gave some victims their closure and had them pay a price for it.
This had been bothering me for a while but why are they pushing the "I hurt Son Oh Gong because I called his NAME."
??? I pretty sure he got hurt because he defied your orders when he was supposed to absolutely obey them! But of course, we will pretend he got hurt because Seonmi called his name so we can justify why she would want to be in a coma...... ... Dear Jesus, save me from this writing.
Because acting isn't just the eyes and if the average person can't see it, then you are clearly failing. Most…
I disagree. The eye acting isn't the most important aspect. To me, it's just a tool among the many tools.
Don't misunderstand though. I don't think Yeon Seo is a bad actress. It's just her acting here is clearly a miss. I don't feel emotions or frustration from her. Like an unmoving ocean. There is no waves or ripples to catch your attention. Writing aside, if her acting was decent I would at least feel a bit of emotions but I didn't. When she died in episode 19, I didn't shed a single tear. And this is coming from someone who cries easily.
So flat writing+unimpressive acting = No emotions from the viewers.
I enjoyed her in "Come Back Mister" and "Shine or Go Crazy", but here... It's just meeeeh.
And to clarify, I bought you reasons why people dislike her further. When the acting is average at best and the writing is bad, she is just an easy target to hate.
I think the actress who played Buju played Asanyeo better. Especially in the last 3 episodes. But it's not a fair comparison considering Yeon Seo played Asanyeo in one episode only while Buju's actress played her longer.
And Ma Wang indeed did overreacted during the first few episodes. I absolutely disliked his character because he is so cringey and try hard. So no, it's not my style at all but after a while his acting became more smooth. You can appreciate him and enjoy what he had to offer. While Yeon Seo was bland from the beginning till the end. Even when she became more "expressive".
But to each his own I guess. I do hope she picks better next time.
Did they REALLY change the poster and completely erase the Go Hyun Jung character ? I can't even, the pettyness…
What about the actress who plays her role? She ISN'T an ADDED NEW CHARACTER she is a REPLACEMENT! So why would they put her NEXT to her when she is supposed to be HER? Use logic.
The ending of episode 4 redeemed whatever doubts I had of this drama.
I had a hard time following the plot 100% so I'm glad I wasn't the only who felt that. I really like the vibe but it's moving too fast to fully digest the details that in a way, it felt... insincere. Like you are not invested in the characters yet but I'm still tagging along for the ride!
It is a cheesy teen drama with many flaws in acting but it manages to keep me interested and I want to see more…
I like Soo Ji but same. I don't really ship her with Shi Hyun. If anything happened between them, it would feel like a friendship with benefits at best.
I did not like the ending that much. I really disliked how open it was. Its another case of the story being too…
You bought out some REALLY good points that showcase how they tossed aside lots of characterization. If they fleshed out the characters just like they did with Ma Wang, this would have been 100 times better. But in the end, this drama is just a grand idea with very, VERY poor execution.
If you gave it a 6 or 6.5, I wouldn't blame you. You only brought up the flaws of the characters... add the plot+romance and the quality downgrades more.
is it just me asking for the dog secretary to have a back story too? as for jin seon mi being plain-faced all…
Because acting isn't just the eyes and if the average person can't see it, then you are clearly failing. Most of us AREN'T supposed to INSPECT the acting, we are supposed to get it naturally. Her emotions is nothing but "sad puppy eyes", "upside down crescent" and "wide eyes" What a variety! Clearly the average people would prefer this over someone like Wa Mwang (note the sarcasm).
Also, people aren't just bothered by the plain face but the behavior that comes with it. If seeing spirits is a "natural" thing then why does she have the naivety of a first timer? She had seen spirits her whole life yet she can't detect when she is in danger from them? She is contradicting your statement.
Furthermore, she is STILL weak with no good defense. How did she survive if she can't help but kill herself everytime she run into a one? If you can't convince the viewer the basic then another bad writing. Another negative, she waited to call the fairy name for 25 years yet, after he gave her back her memories, she RARELY calls him? It reached a point that Son Oh Gong literally had to ask her WHEN will she call for him whenever she is in danger? So stack this all up and it'll not surprise people will dislike her character and her acting.
They would have enjoyed the poker face if she had other redeeming qualities (like Son Oh Gong) but nope, she doesn't therefore easier to target.

But excuse you, the plot ain't dragging. It's racing! It's trying to get that finish line asap.

Also @Claudia, not everyone read the novel or watched the movie! Sorry that we don't kiss the West ass so much to know EVERYTHING they come out with!
