Title Set Me Free
Most monsters are made, not born. And god knows I despise "Christians" like that couple. Pretending to do what they do as Jesus would do, but inside they're keeping tabs on every penny and expect to get something back in return. When what little compassion and forgiveness and empathy they have is needed the most, they withhold it. JC said something about the WORST kind of people being those who behave this way in his name.

It was hard at times to maintain compassion for YJ, given his scamming and how he screwed over Bomtae, but he was doing his best to survive in a hellish, man-made jungle. Ugh, I wish he had told those so-called Christians to f**k themselves and found some other means of survival. However, I suppose four squares and a new place to live in the country beats selling yourself on the street or something.

To me, the absolute worst was the fake Christian "Dad." I wanted to punch him out from the start and my feelings were later fully justified. At least YJ's shitty dad didn't walk around with Jesus written across his forehead.
Every time I looked at YJ's brother I wanted to cry...that face. He loved his older bro with all his heart. I hate the way YJ left. I don't believe he'll keep that last promise. I recall Jang Yoo Sang as the MC in "Break," one of my fave Korean shorts. He is just as talented as Choi Woo Sik, who was amazing here. This is the first role I've seen him in and he's the real thing.

So I got mad and frustrated and cried and this is an excellent flick 9/10 from me.

Out after 20 minutes. I'm not grossed out, just bored. The bad special effects don't help.

Jesus, wtf are you babbling about? Obviously my comments trigger something in YOU. Naturally you didn't address my question as to your statement that there is one style of gay life that we all live, because to say so is absurd on its face.

Seriously? Body shaming Nanon and Drake? So ridiculous and disturbing. You are stupid and superficial. Nanon is…
Hi There. I think I dropped the series you're talking about because it was so juvenile and poorly written. Is that the one where Drake has a buzz-cut, which makes his ears appear to stick out even further? lol Seriously, first time I saw him on screen I was like WTF with those ears. :) I don't even really remember them from 2gether, though I know I've watched that show. But it was so generally bad also, aside from the obvious runway model good looks (which the nutcase above has forbidden me to mention) of the two leads, that I don't remember a great deal about it, And if they were in 2gether Again, then I definitely don't remember because that entire show was horrendously bad.

I discovered BLs about 16 months ago and so enjoyed finally seeing a wide range of shows about young gay male sex/romance/crushing/etc. that I sucked up everything there was as fast as I could. I think I had a lot more tolerance for really bad shows simply because they portrayed gay male adolescence, something I'd rarely seen before, so I excused a lot. I felt these shows were taking me through an adolescence/sexual awakening outside the closet, which is where I spent that part of my life. I can feel that tolerance fading now and I find myself having far less patience for crappy shows. Like this one. It's sad how unoriginal the plot is, and how many tropes and cliches have already been used in the first episode. It is epically repetitive of other shows. I'm wondering if the novel really is just as unoriginal but don't care enough to check it out. He has the range and talent to be in shows like ITSAY and IPYTM.

I'm sad that Ohm, who I think is a really good actor and a beautiful young man, associeted himself with this trash. I can't imagine that he's desperate for work, so I'm wondering why he would take this part in such a badly-written, corny, juvenile production.

I'm watching a lot of Asian feature films and series these days outside the BL realm because quality of production and all its elements has become almost as important to me as the subject matter. I watch every gay production I can get my hands on, but I think I'm getting to where I've seen them all. For real. lol So...when I come back and try to watch something like BB it's a lot more difficult to stick with it for all the reasons I mentioned above. But I will try to hold out for this one as I really enjoy Ohm's presence in a show.

You're cute with your unhinged, misdirected passion. It would be nice if your replies in some way related to what I actually wrote, but they don't, so I'm going to drop this exchange. Have a terrible day. little one.

The more I watch, the better I like this show. Depth is building constantly and being a gay dude, I'm totally crushing on the character of KJH. What a big, sweet, honorable, loyal, kind man. Which is all incredibly sexy even without that face and that body. I'm thinking everyone thinks he is kind of slow upstairs but he is the opposite of that: he's just very humble, deliberate and un-showy about everything. His demeanor and thoughtfulness is incredibly charming to me.

But there are so many other rich characters here, portrayed by extremely gifted actors. I adore the drug-addled guy. Hilarious. I put off watching this for more than a year. I'm happy I finally started to watch. Just a great show.

It is a nice story and realistic in regards to gay life. I would say that if someone isn't into you, then you…
Could you explain what you mean exactly, by "gay life?" Is there one particular way that all gay guys live? I can hardly figure out what's going on most of the time. Hin is a huge flirt who plays the victim and apparently sleeps with everyone BUT Hugo, I think I've got that right.

I like your idea for season 3 in Taiwan as refugees.

Out of boredom, came back to finish SS2.
Is it just me, or has Hin pretty much slept with everyone in the cast except the girl? But I don't get WHY or even WHEN he does all this sleeping around, and yet somehow seems to think of himself as a victim of others' feelings/actions/demands. What's up with that?
I hope these people are using protection.
Wouldn't it be wise, before Hin competes in a musical competition, for him to learn to, you know...sing?
I've almost come back around to respecting the jerk/player the most. At least he seems honest about who he is and his actions.
The writing needs to improve a LOT, acting too.
What I'm most impressed with is that this production somehow managed to get itself carried on Gagaoolala, which is where I watch a lot of stuff and stumbled across this.

Are those sex scene real ?
lol Have you watched the movie? What do you mean by "real?" My guess is no, they were not actually having real, full-on intercourse in the sex scenes, though they did a pretty damn good job of making it look as though they were. There are all kinds of little acting/directing/cinematic/staging tricks that are used to make sex look real when it's not. There are little, stick-on genital covers that prevent direct, skin on skin, crotch-on-crotch contact. Each actor wears one and they cover only the genitals with no strings or anything else to give them away. So when they're humping they're not really humping. Same would go for the 69 scene, in which case you could have your face in your fellow actor's crotch without actually touching their crotch, etc. Sex scenes are a sort of dance, really. Done professionally, they are for the most part carefully choreographed in that both actors know generally what is going to happen after this, and then this, and then this, etc. However, they can't overdo the choreography either or it looks fake. One of my few beefs with this flick would be that a few times the Queen and the Chief's actions looked sterile and not real, especially that 69 scene. They were so carefully posed and kind of stiff that it didn't look spontaneous. However, I have read more than a few articles about the filming of sex scenes where actors got turned on and carried away and really did the deal. So who really knows?

OMG...you mean Drake ALSO got "body-shamed" over his eyebrows in addition to his ears? It's not like he doesn't know his ears stick out so apparently he has decided to leave them just the way they are, so that's fine too. His choice.

It IS comically bad. Butt...there are some hilariously over the top soft-core sex scenes in which the fake-sex acting is so bad it almost has to be intentionally so. I stumbled across BBB on Gagaoolala but it might be elsewhere for free.

So you agree his ears stick out to an unusual degree, then? You seem to have noticed. I don't care what you think of course, stay in your fantasy world where no one notices each others' extreme features and are never distracted by them. Or wait a minute...from you're last sentence you seem to say you don't see his ears at all. Which is it?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Drake's ears are the reason he has yet to have a lead role in a non-multi couple BL. He's always a supporting player. He needs to spend the money and get those suckers pinned back an inch or two. lol The offers will flood in.

I can tell you're a junior SJW from your frequent use of "body-shaming" and other SJW cliches. When will you say "problematic?" I'm holding my breath...

Do you think calling people "stupid" somehow validates your silly opinions? Newsflash: it doesn't.

Title Burning Spoiler
I just watched the movie and have read the short story it is based on. In the short story the story ends after…
I still can't say with certainty that I believe Ben killed HM...so many questions that I'll never get answers to. Again, it just looks SO obvious in many ways: the watch in the drawer, the cat in Ben's apartment, showing Ben doing makeup on another girl, etc. It seems like right at the end the director started spelling everything out in neon letters: BEN KILLED HM AND DUMPED HER IN THE POND AND TOOK IN HER CAT, ETC. Just so pat and perfect, which feels completely different from the rest of the movie.

Oh, another thing: When MC stabbed Ben to death, Ben didn't react, to me, as though he knew why he was being murdered. I probably can't really explain it but the vibe I got was of complete surprise and terror. It was also interesting the way Ben sort of held MC in that bloody, almost affectionate embrace while he was dying in MC's arms. Any thoughts on that?

To me, when HM danced in the sunset light and took her shirt off while doing it, she wasn't doing it for either of the two men. She was simply expressing herself, her freedom, the feeling of the evening air on her bare body, the liberation of no clothing and the joy of being alive. She did somewhat turn around, but not completely and at no point did I feel like it was a sexual dance for men to get off on. It felt to me like a SENSUAL dance for herself and the sunset and I thought it was beautiful. Which is why when MC made that cruel remark I gasped out loud, it was so NOT what she had been about. Don't forget she was both high and a little drunk too, which lowers inhibitions.

It's funny: I'm gay yet I keep thinking about how beautiful and perfect HM's breasts were. lol She is a very good actress. That dance was lovely.

I DO watch Pornhub. Got a problem with that?

To say that Pornhub material is what I'm looking for and finding in BLs is just another example of your stupidity. Does Pornhub scare you? Do you watch it too? Gay/Straight/Bi/Kink, what? How do you even know what it is, little sexually-repressed person?

Kind of surprised to see Ohm in this. He seems too mature for this kind of material to me. It's set in college but feels like high school.

It's not a debate, really. She's a sexually-repressed teen who can't admit to herself what draws her to BL and she wants to pretend it's for the stellar writing, dialogue and original plotting and first-rate acting in most of them. It has NOTHING to do with the fact that she gets off at least a bit on the idea of two dudes getting it on. She thinks sex is dirty, that's why she likes sanitized BL material. If this one stays fluffy and shiny bright it will be a waste of Ohm's extreme hotness. But I guess I'm body-shaming him to comment on his looks. lol

I dropped Don't Say No pretty quick. Awful.

I HAVE seen Bad Buddy Butt! lol What a horrible little show. hahaha But just enough so-bad-its-good moments to keep me going til the end, and the little lead guy was cute naked. OH NO! There I go again!

Again with the name-calling. That's all you've got, little girl. People who say stupid shit like you entirely forget there is a universe of gay porn online if I wanted sex scenes and hot actors, you idiot. I have no intention of explaining to your feeble mind why I watch BLs, which I discovered just 16 months ago.
Why are you so sex-negative?
Why do you think sex is a bad thing?
Why are you uneasy with the unclothed human body?
If you ARE young, it's sad that you have all these sexual hangups. And yet here you are watching gay love/sex stories?
Why do you think you are NOT a fusjoshi when you clearly are?
Come on, please answer...I could use a good laugh.

Once again, you don't bother to refute synchronicity's points, you just start with the name-calling. I'm guessing you are female and a BL fan which sort of makes you a fujoshi even if you pretend you aren't one. Also guessing you're VERY interested in looks and sexy scenes with guy on guy action...otherwise why would you watch BLs? For the quality, original writing and lack of cliches and tropes and stereotypes? You are extremely unself-aware. But then, you are probably about 15 years old so that's to be expected for the most part.
