I don't understand how this only has a 7.5 rating. It's not a 10 but it's AT LEAST an 8.5 (9.0 for me) If you like WUXIA and an absolutely beautiful gorgeous soft hearted but very strong female lead and beautiful romance and a loyal, loving, strong ML who never wavers this is an absolutely worthy watch.

The mark disappears when they fall in true love. And whoever they fall in love with is the only one they can ever love. They are not able to love anyone else but that person. It's very romantic!

Adaptations will almost *always* have parts that are loosely based on the original source material. It's why a movie/drama script literally has to be written for the screen. Because it cannot translate from a novel directly to the screen, because some parts will have to be condensed and some re-written. I think book readers should wake up to reality that books almost ALWAYS are not directly translated in story to the screen and an adaptation will be somewhat faithful but likely altered for many various reasons.

She's basically figured out that he is practicing "dark mirror art magic" and that it will destroy him because it's so dangerous. He promised her not to keep using it unless the situation is so bad that he has no other choice. She says her light something magic can protect him and he says "so does that mean you will be with me always?" And she replies "we are allies so of course I will be together with you as your ally" This was from the really awful translation I watched but I think it gives the just of it.
