no but who the f killed Saito... how dare they not answer that question lol
I think that plot line would need its own drama, since it goes into spy territory. WOWOW sometimes does do additional seasons and spin-offs. I believe the third novel has some more clues from what I can glean.
I don't know what to feel about this I think the ending is already perfect.
It's definitely going to have a different vibe, since Mio is no longer the gullible girl she used to be. I'm sure they will make it fun, though. Plenty of youkai left to interact with.
Yes, they're hinting towards that because Suganami is a respiratory specialist doctor. It's only 120 episode since…
southview is misinformed. It's not because of COVID. NHK decided to reduce morning dramas to 5 eps/week before COVID was even a thing. The new norm would 125-130 episodes instead of 150-156. Why is it only 120? So the next drama can start in the first week of November (unlike Okaeri Mone, which started in the middle of May instead of the beginning of April) and they can slowly try and revert back to the usual schedule (April->October, October->April). "Come Come Everybody" might have even less episodes so they start the next one in April.
And for your other question, yes, they do reference COVID in EP117, foreshadow a much-longer-than-planned separation in EP118, and picture a hopeful post-COVID scenario in EP120.
I never read that stuff here on MDL. If it's more than 4 lines of text, just skip it.
Good point, I guess. You're indeed limited when it comes to English sources and many translators just translate whatever without actually giving it any thought or rewriting it into a compelling, non-spoiling snippet.
As for myself, I usually seek out or happen to see the teasers for upcoming dramas and I have the advantage of being able to consume Japanese media/social media, so I usually have a good idea of what's what and what to expect.
