SR is self serving, so the button to push to get SR to use her brain is to TELL HER SOMETHING THAT HELPS HER SELF SERVE lmao
BH got to SR bc he made her see how HY is gonna dump her and even kill her

JH is obsessed with finding someone to provide warmth for him, so ppl who get to him are those who push on that button... like HY....
So if somehow SR can transform to be "providing warmth" for JH, she would get him.
If somehow DumbMi gets a message across that she is NOT providing warmth, he will leave her alone.

The problem is, DumbMi is rather biopolar, she EITHER lies/hides info OR says useless meaningless stuff that just flames the other person.

Also, JM is super cold and arrogant to BH, there is nothing lovey dovey from JM to BH... that is boring stale too.. and not "kind" or "warm" by any means... JM treats BH as a bodyguard at her disposal, and she treats him with gratefulness/kindness of a master to a slave, not as a woman in love to her lover.

In short - JM LACKS THIS WARMTH AND KINDNESS AND CONSIDERATION she and others claim she has - and someone needs to bust that delulu bubble

it is true that JM and BH are two genuinely kind and giving ppl, "parent vibe" BUT THE DRAMA NEVER EXPLORED THAT and instead locked them into very stale cliche of him being her slave and she taking it for granted and being ... abusive.

THE DRAMA IS ALL SET TO KEEP DUMBMI AS A CLUELESS SEXIST BRAINWASHED SLIMY
So BH is also written as 1-dimensional simple character, as a robot with the only mode "100% support" no matter what JM does...
The only time BH stood up to JM was when he took her away from the wedding. But it was never further explored

I would NOT hire this script writer anymore bc the style of writing is to keep characters like caricatures, stuck in a certain STALE simple mold prescribed by societal prejudices and sociopathy. Like you can watch this drama with the blinders on, you know EXACTLY what each character will do before they do it. The characters are just too simple and NEVER GROW, so it is the same old all the time. THERE IS ALMOST NO MEANINGFUL CONVERSATION AND LEARNING. The plot is mostly generated by stupid actions, super rarely by character growth. And if any growth does happen, it is just left there to die, the script does not deepen it.
The scipt writer is just letting this drama pass by automatic pilot based on societal stereotyping. WAKE UP. There is only 20 eps left. Now character growth will look totally grand and out of place, but better some than none, better ever than never. At least end the drama properly

She was hiding such critical information from her only helper and teammate while two of them were chasing SERIAL MURDERERS and in grave danger for their lives, in the midst of being beat up, kidnapped, and even killed -

DumbMi was acting super selfishly, AGAINST safety of her "loved ones", causing NEEDLESS EXPOSURE TO DANGER AND INVITING DISASTERS

and all done out of very dumb selfish "concern" that the person will be "stressed out when they hear it" -
AND causing MUCH greater stress - grave danger to the person - letting the person freely run around EXPOSED TO DANGER, UNAWARE OF DANGER, totally unaware of who their enemies are and even thinking enemies are friends, getting themselves into real dangers and problems, and ALL PREVENTABLE

*** and also - the person will learn it sooner or later anyways, and any later will make it a lot harder and more stressful ****

In real life, some women must be hitting on those handsome men so imo it is realistic to put that into the plot.
Also, in real life, there must be some women in their life, starting from obviously their mother or orphanage,
coworkers, friends, family, neighbors, the public..
Just like Cherry Magic showed. It seems more realistic

More like a very high quality family drama

Very masterfully done, high quality drama, great plot and great acting, well filmed. There is some makjang humor and scenes, esp with the youngest couple, and some higher quality humor and scenes, and some very deep psychological drama and thriller scenes with the oldest, who have past trauma or are going tthrough marital issues.
Overall, the drama is quite humorous and warm and light, yet deep
What is different and refreshing and makes it so and unpredictable and thus so very interesting is great communication between characters, the lines and dialogues range from really funny all the way to very deep and meaningful.

FL is quite smart and communicates well, and ML too... he is a down-to-earth reasonable guy, not a superhero who saves damsel in distress loser FL. He never meddles but helps her and their relationship is quite a good example of gender balance and equality of people.

No crazy town overhyped drama and ridiculous plots. So it is "Easy to watch"

Ppl who are used to bloody revenges and such hype and gory scenes seem to tend to think "not much is happening" - and yeah, nothing ridiculous is happening lmao - the plot keeps on moving naturally, ***so much*** keeps happening as we go deeper and deeper into characters and their growth

So that's why it is interesting, the plot keeps moving, in a very meaningful, organic, natural way, with lots of amazing communication/dialogues, character mistakes, overcoming, and character growth. The script writer is masterful :)
Also the director, camera and production are masterful, the music is so in sync and scenes are fantastic, and actors are really making it look real, acting is great

The first few eps had some cringe. (damsel in distress FL and poker faced ML stale cliche)
After that - cringe factor is ZERO

The more I watch this drama, the more I am impressed

Both SML and SFL are such complex characters and both actors are 10000% making it soooo real.... the acting is phenomenal

I am not sure what went wrong there bc, based on their age, seems like Grandpa and Grandma were raising that son.
And they let him marry that Nasty - but the paradox is, son and Nasty *are* in love and a perfect couple, very happily married to this day

except that JM is possibly smart lmao I think she is smart like a parasite - smart enough to protect her own as@ and that is why she stays silent and avoids trouble - and not smart for anything beyond that. She is not even smart enough to make sure SH is never left alone.
JM is actually shrewd and quietly hogging resources for herself. She only gives her attention to SH... And she takes from everyone else. She lets BH chase her and is never affectionate to him.

Just like SR sided with BH after he said a couple of "right" sentences.

I think JH can come back but someone has to talk to him. So far nobody is capable of talking to him!!!! they give him lessons - dont do that, it is reckless; or threaten him - if you touch my woman i will beat you up - or reject him - I am in love with BH.

BUT NOBODY EVER SAID WHAT BH SAID TO SR - the truth - hey HY is using you and as soon as you are used, she will throw you out and even kill you.

The bad dramas have FL who is super loser, very dumb, naive, weak, poor, etc lies, runs away, etc - like Dynamite Kiss and Our Universe..
Recently dramas got into women who are at least successful at work but total morons in private life - like Practical Guide to Love.
THEN the ML is like this superhero superman who takes care of FL and keeps bailing her out of trouble.

VERY RARE DRAMAS SHOW EQUALITY AND GREAT HONEST COMMUNICATION AND TEAMWORK, like .. Positively Yours, My Dearest Nemesis, etc. - and many ppl in the audience think those dramas are boring. Positively Yours is one of the top healthy dramas, so realistic, and so positive. A fantastic role model for successful long term relationships and marriage.
Currently airing daily Our Happy Days has FL/ML pair like that - very very green flag, both. Very gender balanced and egalitarian relationship, very HEALTHY relationship.

Much audience loves to watch sick toxic relationships lmao So 50, 000 ppl are watching Perfect Crown and another 50,000 Pursuit of Jade etc.

This drama at least doesnt have gender imbalance and toxicity. FL is competent at work and also in her personal life - SHE COMMUNICATES CLEARLY with him, and he too with her. So at least all that cliche bs of anio! and lying "to save stress to someone" - none of that is here. SO THAT'S GREAT.

Also, ML here is caring, but not meddling into her life. He is respectful to her boundaries and personal space (even in the art museum, he told her what he wanted and then gave her about 1 minute pause and looking at her to get her YES PROCEED before he proceeded.) ML is a great green flag here. He is equal to her in everything but the job title and professional experience.

So this drama is not a masterpiece by any means, but is a fun and a slightly different rom com.
Also, at least this rom com has some great acting. ML is a master comedian lmao and also great in acting a "nice guy". Also, ML is written as a green flag in a new, refreshing way, he is a more realistic guy, GETTING CLOSER TO SOMEONE FROM REAL LIFE.
But yeah not enough bc he is chasing FL so hard, it is unrealistic. It would be super rare and maybe non-existent these days in real life lmao

I am not impressed with FL actress much. Some scenes of her talking nicely with ML are expressive, but mostly, she is just poker faced and to me that is boring.
Luckily, he is expressive, so bouncing off it creates some comedic effect.

So even a harsher critic can get something out of this drama. It does have some content.

So yeah, recently we saw super flawed females having wonderful guys at their total disposal - Dynamite kiss, Our Universe, Practical Guide to Love, Boyfriend on Demand, etc are all about AT LEAST TWO men kissing as@ of one very flawed and unrully woman-child.

So yeah, kdramas got worse this year, showing women who are two-timing, stringing two guys, lying, sneaking around, etc.

As for love triangles: sometimes they have a place. I mentioned Mr. Plankton, Discovery of Love, etc. where the main plot is the triangle and it makes sense.

Love triangles and many-angles are UNAVOIDABLE in real life, bc EVERYONE HAS A HISTORY, and practically everyone has someone wanting them now :)

So a triangle - or more - is totally to be expected in real life - and so why not in a drama... But as you said, how they portray ML as this "doting superhero" is too cliche and stale...

In this drama, the triangle is ok. A successful, smart, beautiful, high-level woman like this FL is certainly going to have many guys interested in her, and some exes :)

Yeah the FL/ML relationship is not equal. He is chasing her and she likes him but is cold and refusing him. That is not cool. But .... she is his boss so... what else can she do??? They ARE NOT equal. She will have to weigh pros and cons and be very sure of her feelings and their relationship before she can even think of making a move on him.
