BUT I dont understand this - what is JH gaining from separating?

Why is VC refusing to separate bc he thinks JH killed Chairman? WHY does it matter if JH killed Chairman or not - meaning - VC is refusing to let JH have a company if he harmed the Chairman.. ? WHY is VC acting like that, why does he care??? he is behaving like a personal friend of Chairman or a loyal supporter... ? or enemy of JH?

Yup, it is his turn :) If he doesnt decide and convincgly TAKE ACTION on it, she is GONE and for good reasons, she was such a doormat and there is no love when it is like that, I am glad she stood up for herself.

I had some breaktroughs in my understanding of good storytelling and comedy... bc of ep 3 in Filing for Love, which used paradox, surprise, and also slow development over time and also deep digging into layers and sides of individual characters. So that helped me understand Recipe for Love, which also is masterfully digging through sides and layers.

AND THAT HELPED ME UNDERSTAND WHY YOU ARE CONFUSED HERE ABOUT SH.T CHARACTER SR AT THE MOMENT - how someone so smart can turn into petty whiney villain. The answer is - she was always that :) and now it is brought to the forefront :) to be healed.

First Man drama maintains the forward movement ... and it is well on the right track and pacing is perfect.. BC IT IS VERY LIKE REAL LIFE... problems solved by ****persistent small steps**** Right now we have this situation: zombie crushes SR to JH, JH to JM, Laptog to HY, Proessor to HY, and Professor's Wife to Professor. She is still hoping he will apologize and come back... Oh dream on..... So NOW WE HAVE 40 EPISODES TO DIG INTO THESECHARACTERS AND SITUATIONS AND RESOLVE THEM.

Ppl wonder why is SR so petty and whiney adn selfish at the moment, where her smarts went.. Well ... the smarts are in the background now bc this new situation made the petty and selfish come to the front - to be healed... So now SR"s healing journey BEGAN. So she will either graduate from this or fail the test and SINK.

SO MY DEAR ONES, RIGHT NOW SR IS IN THE GLADIATOR RING FACING THE HUNGRY LIONS OF HER GREED, DESIRE, SELFISHNESS, EGOTISM, VANITY, PETINESS, DISDAIN, SNOTINESS, ENTITLEMENT etc.
Just like JM was int he gladiator ring facing her dumbness and arrogance - for too long she was just standing there and I am glad we forced the drama team to finally make her fight - and eventually win -
and now we see a similar "reality show" for SR :) and others :)

Like in real life, in a drama/movie there has to be lots of grudge preparation work, lots of "under the water" movement, lots of "planting the seeds and growing the seedlings" lots of working out character flaws - or goign deeper into insanity - UNTIL IT ALL SHOWS BIG ON THE SURFACE... Going deeper into the characters, showing their different sides... Showing paradoxes - like in currently airing Filing for Love, where a zipped up Cruella turns to have very very unexpected sides :) of Mother Theresa, Joan De Arc, and Marylin Monroe all combined lmao

In shorter series and movies, there is no time to show all the details... The growing process is shown just a little bit so we do not get the full feel and appreciation for the EFFORT AND TIME involved... for allt the grunge work.... In miniseries usually there is time only to show the tip of the iceberg and just HINT at various sides of one given character bc there is no time... It takes a lot of skill to create a short script that will dig into details of the layers and sides of one character... Only very very masterful short series /movies can conjure it... So thats why the audience mostly missed that point...

In a shorter series/movie, the details are HINTED AT so whoever catches it, catches it, but most people do not even notice... In a shorter drama or movie, you see the TIP OF THE ICEBERG bc there is not time to talk about the iceberg... In a longer drama, you get to dig through the iceberg...

The lovers of short dramas, miniseries etc are totally not used to this concept of really SHOWING THE PROCESS AND WORKING THE DETAILS.... That became clear to me based on comments in daily FIrst Man, which just started unpeeling more layers..

In a longer drama, we go deeper... there is much more detail... We as audience are given a little time to adjust to a new situation... while the drama characters struggle with the issues, fall and get up, so many times, keep putting in small persistent steps forward...... then the situation MOVES ON FORWARD :) BAAAM!!!! a breaktrough.... !

So JM overcame her addiction to dumb arrogance.
SR is gonna have to overcome her addiction to petty greedy selfish ignoramus

The innately good characters who have gone on for too long and too much into evil are Lapdog... and most likely Professor...

HY... she is beyond the point of return most likely bc she is already wired as a psychopath/sociiopath and too far into it... Chairman, both GoldDiggers, JH, Professors Wife ... and all in danger to be in thi category

BH has to show SOME struggle with SOME character flaws to make him be more realistic :)
Even Jesus and Buddha had their 40 days fighting the devil... so I ASSUME BH SHOULD TOO :) He cannot be a Superman Father Theresa :) His struggles will be on a higher level, but we need to see them...

JH and SR are made out of the same material and WOULD be a perfect pair IF they overcome their selfish evil streak. Both have lived IN but not WITH a family and both have lived without any real love, and are super street smart to survuve but have no clue about love, and are super selfish and elbowing forward. Both are SEASONED STRAY CATS that just feed from whatever ppl leave thm but always keep to themselves and steal where they can.

SO YEAH THERE IS MUCH LEFT TO DO :) in 40 eps left...

I saw that she saw JH getting there. That is what made me think that JH and FL were there when Chairman and HS were killed...

HS was angry that JH loved her less... rememver those scenes when he tries kissing her and she rudely angrily refuses him and scolds him for underperformance and jos obligation to perform bc her dad is paying a lot for it? HS did not seem ready to quietly part with him... She seemed more like a woman angry about her cheating boy toy.. She treated him with such disrespect, like he was a prostitute. That's why I called him GIGOLO. He elbows his way forward by seducing women - HS, then FL, then the assemblyman daughter, .... i wouldnt be surprised if Purple Girl is his ex or tried at him.

i dont think it would be so easy breaking up with HS as you think... it seems she still wanted him or at least was angry that he was neglecting her or that he went somewhere else FIRST before she dumped him... or that her best friend was in it...

I am honestly not sure about that company, i do not understand the business and why it is so good for him, why he had to bribe to get his own company... ? Perhaps he started with 0, Chairman gave him that "subsidy" and now he is happy with what he has , so he will grab the FL and live quietly?

Professor has a role... Professor to HY, JH to JM, SR to JH, OlderGolddigger to TP, youngerGolddiger to BH, and Lapdog to HY - and Professor's wife to Professor in the past - all behave in the same way - they are LAPDOGS, brain zombie slaves, to their crush. They ask no questions, they hear no bad info, they allow any and all behavior, totally totally BLIND. Like the 3 monkeys (no see, no speak, no hear) they sold their soul to the devil to get the toy they wanted. THEY ARE ADDICTED. THEY ARE ADDICTS. So we need to see them and learn not to do that...

BH was originally a very 1-sided Knight in Shining Armour... he unquestionably helped JM when she was a decent person... he overlooked all her faults ... bc he was begging for her love, trying to prove himself and win her over - and he kinda did...
BUT that was not all... we later learned - he was unwilling to sell his soul to the devil for it...

When JM became a bad person, BH stood up to her and made her stop. He did not force, he did not threaten, whine, etc. He refused to have himself compromised and to allow her to ruin her life. HE CLEARLY PRESENTED THE SITUATION, THE CONSEQUENCES AND HER CHOICE, HELPED HER TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT THING, BUT LET HER MAKE THE DECISION and was always honoring her decision, kept living his life well - and kept standing up to her until she snapped out of her delusion, of her ... addiction. That is true and mature, REAL LOVE. So BH transformed from a knight in shining armour to a true lover and life partner.

What I am tryng to say: PROFESSOR HAS A PLACE. All these zombies are tools of the devil, in this case HY. She enters through their cracks and runs them like puppets.
AND WE AS AUDIENCE NEED TO SEE THAT AND DRAW SOME LESSONS :)

And also, all those zombie crush characters will have to grow out of it OR take the consenquenes. So you bet they will be causing trouble while hanging onto their addiction.
And then they will have a choice - just like JM did - and lets see if they take it or not.

Finding ex-granpa... Se Ri's past.... and in general, mullings of Eun Ho about her sister and stepmom... Dr. Han as "Love Evangelist" MAYBE will put the two beds togehter??? She at least is starting to be less hypocritical and starting to treat herself as a patient... Perhaps her husband will grow up and ASK to hug her or hold her hand, or put the beds together?...

Paco Natcho impresses me as a great politician... How he works FL's mom and grandpa is soooo clever :) And his lady FL is so much more mature... The water purifier and car ride totally demonstrate it..

I think that her fake boyfriend botched it since he looked so sad that she "left him" and he "tried" - Dr. Han might be inclined to help him out get back his love LMAO

That colleague Park Jun Hyeok by far has the best and most creative wardrobe of all male characters in any kdramas, and wears it the best. The actor has a great body and is very flexible. His acting is way over the top artificial so he must be new to acting, but he is certainly a perfect actor for advertisements. And one day could do more in dramas and movies too... As a model he would also be perfect, for modeling of athletics stuff or something like that which goes beyond the usual "poker face skinny" fashion show runway cheesy... What I am saying, that actor is charismatic and charming and has potential for many things. As a host show or participant, he would be great too...

The Uncle actor is really the master actor here.... Extremely skilled actor. Every detail is his acting METICULOUS and totally fits the character. Uncle is made totally real.. RESPECT!!!! and yeah that actor is super handsome as well.

Ppl complaint that FL's dad should have stayed in his dreary serious roles but i disagree, he adds a certain spice and decently portrays that space cadet cluelless character.... AND BOUNCES OFF THE UNCLE. THat is one of the secrets to the success of this drama - the two brothers. The Uncle actor saves and uplifts the acting of FL dad actor and the two of them togther make a perfect funny pair. And FL dad has NO script as a dad lmao and very little with his wife... intentionally :) bc the character is sooooo clueless... BUT he has to grow... so that actor will have to grow too in his acting skillZ... and I am sure he CAN and he wil :)

The Uncle actor is so good, he must be super well trained, it shows. Someone said he was trained for theater? and musicals? So other actors SHOULD look up to him and copy. Every single detail adds - the lips sucked in, the glance sideways, etc etc etc... MASTERFUL actor.

I think today the Nurse actress really got me as a very skilled actress. That Nurse really seems real!!!!

The policemen always get me, esp the older policeman - wow that is an actor... Every time he shows up, it is like adding spice to the drama. That actor is soooo good!!!!! The young policeman is good looking and he is the "chick bait" but the older policeman is what makes the drama so interesting. The younger one is not a bad actor by any means, but he is a little bland and cannot compare with the older one - the older one is MASTERFUL, every single scene he shows up is a memorable catchy scene BECAUSE he showed up. I REMEMBER THE OLDER ONE.

Paco Natcho actor is very handsome but he ruins that by smiling so artificially... He needs to relax and ACT. Get into the character. Yeah Paco Natcho's purpose in life was to show how happy he is, but common, he proved the concept already, now just RELAX and show genuine happiness... The grin on his face looks too strained.

The plot moved on with the cancer bomb, with Veronica / SeRi secret past and EH struggling with it, and with brothers having the guts to push over Grandma to look for her ex - and then his story...
We also see small movements "under the deep water" that wll eventually cause big waves on the surface -
that Woo Ju is missing EH... that Uncle/Aunt and her son are truly becoming a family so they are going deeper to clean up stuff... that Dr Han cancer issue is starting to move the family in various ways...

I understand why Koreans are concerned that the end of ep3 can start a new wave of dramas trying to up each other and going the lewd way of Hwood... We already have lots of scenes of guys in a shower, Dynamite Kiss pushed the envelope into bed, now FL almost doing a striptease,.... so what's next... I understand why Koreans are worried we are standing too close to the cliff edge of turning into Hwood cheap.....

Also, I think they complained about "male gazing" which is very sexist. To be fair, he wasnt looking at her, he was just in shock and I bet he was thinking if she is gonna take it against him and fire him. But based on his history of dreaming of her, making comments about her finger, and "in his day going through 10 boxes", chances are - he will be haunted by what he saw, esp since HER EYES were totally delighted to see him standing there. (This gives a totally new meeaning to Beatles song "When I saw you standing there...") lmao I think ... they are hooked now :)

I personally think that end of ep 3 was on the edge of acceptable, and it was cheesy, and to me it was made hilariously funny by the comments of the audience, who totally nailed it. Omg the comments are better than the drama in those scenes LMAO

Hwood would destroy that scene by showing everything. Then all the mystery and the fun of seeing their faces very closely and for a long time and feeling compassion and comraderie with the characters would have been GONE.

This sophisticated humor is the trademark of kdramas, it is a certain elegance and intelligence, parody, satire, jestering, exposing difficult heavy serious issues with tact and compassion, that only kdramas have.

In any case, whoever thought of this script, is a mastermind manipulator and jester :) sooo familiar with people and how to play them and in that contrast, make it super funny and also super educational. A master storyteller :) And the director and camera and production and the actors are the same kind, on the same page, they totally understand the concept. VERY VERY VERY SKILLED TEAM.

Other dramas like Scarecrow, Reverse, etc have handsome ML who move their face and body and ACT in phenomenal ways, very great actors.

Rom coms are plagued by poker-faced MLs who are just decorative "pretty face" to look at. Very rare rom coms show ML who can move his face and act. Most rom coms have a "pretty boy" with a flat, "posing" face, and personality of cardboard, and just long scenes of his face so that the audience can turn their brain off and just swoon.

Right now perfectly capable, full of potential Sold On You rom com is being ruined by forcing the ML who CAN act to totally kill any acting and to be poker faced all the time

Bc they are afraid this is getting too close to the cliff edge of turning into Hwood, as dramas try to up each other - so what will be next... ???

And how the Team 3 was surprisingly rebellious!!! I thought it was so brave... and How FL was surprisingly there for her team - wow!!! never expected THAT.... !!!!, and never expected the way she took to resolve it !!!! grabbing hair of another executive.... !!!!!
and how she and the team reconciled. .. I just wrote a short post about that last part and squeezed the irst parts into "emotional yo-yo"

BC... the wickedly funny of the end of ep 3 was due to that yo-yo and totally planned, we the audience were baited.. :) .
First it started with something so expectable - Cruella Boss standing up for the corporate interests... the usual higer-ups' wag-the-dog and throwing ordinary ppl under the bus... the usual cruel, ignorant, stone-throwing public that latches onto every gossip.. ... so WE THE AUDIENCE ALL WERE LIKE .. AHA I AM FAMILIAR WITH ALL THAT... so - we are saying - WE TRUST THE DRAMA....

and then - the surprise "good deeds" by the team and the manager! WOW! SO WE GET SWOONED BY THE SURPRISE SIDES OF THE TEAM AND MANAGER.... and now we trust the drama even more :) we are friends :)

So that's how we the audience were baited - at this point... we are trained to accept surprises :) and to see the Team and the Manager in good light.
Also, the drama also played with stereotypes and made the ML acceptable to us and even endearing, and we trust him. We were steadily and consistently trained to believe that ML was "over 10 boxes" "in his day" and that even today he is .... not tooooo far :) Like his comment about her finger while he was taping it.... his porn dream about the FL - we see that he is alive and healthy :) and definitely 10 box material :) AND THAT HE IS A RESPECTABLE GUY - he did not go for the stairwell kiss and invitation... he uses his mind and his heart.... so he interpreted his dream as a nightmare, he never dwelved on it, he never pounced on his roommate -etc etc

SO WE LEARNED TO TRUST AND RESPECT ML...
and ....we already know that ML already noticed FL long time ago... and she too... the way she was imitating hugging him, smiled at his finger comment, etc... but how they are handling it, gained our trust and respect of ML as a lion who does not use his claws needlessly, and of FL as a zipped up crazy nun. .....

So - at this point we are trained to see Team and Manager in good light under surprises, and to think of ML as someone .... very alive and healthy "10 box" quality guy :) yet very nice and respectable guy ....

AND THEN - OUT OF NOWHERE - BAM!!!! the yo yo swings... under the premise -
-- OK so you accept surprises from the Manager - here you go, the next one !!!! -- The bottled up zipped up nun literally unzips...... and reveals that we had NO IDEA who FL really is.... She kinda gave us some hints during the finger taping dinner but we did not take her too seriously...

SO WE FOUND OURSELVES ON A TOTAL SURPRISE ROLLER COASTER RIDE THAT SWUNG FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER AND WE ARE ALL SQUEELING "WWWWWEEEEEEEEE" !!!!!!!!

Comedy is made by seeing something you never expected, something that "doesnt match"... So in this case, we are faced with the funny in "bottled up nun is actually unzipped - pun intended - and runs into 10 boxes" and we are totally speechless bc the contradiction was totally unexpected. So we are all thrown off our feet LMAO

and for anyone, social media posts about anyone, and esp a corporate employee, and esp a corporate manager, and esp a corporate manager on a team about proper behavior, and doing nude modeling would explode into total trash chaos, exactly like the case was with the Team3Manager and CafeteriaLady. SO HOW DID OUR FL AVOID THAT SO FAR???

On its own, the end scene in ep 3 to me is on the edge of acceptable and also very cheesy, one more step and it would have been gone off the deep end cliff of Hwood
To me, that last scene became funny bc of the comments of the audience - so incredibly funny.

I hope that other dramas will not start a competition to updo this drama... We already have plenty dramas with scenes of guys in the shower, etc... I would stay on this side of the cliff, not go any further, would rather use the time for quality content.

And even in China, proving that the AI is EXACT copy of you will be super difficult bc they all look alike, do you realize that 4 ppl in the cover image for this post all look alike, like 4 photos of 1 person, CERTAINLY the two "male" photos look exactly alike and have the EXACT same pose and facial expression, and the two women have the same facial expression and pose and look alike. One of the females in other photos is slightly different bc she is darker but make her lighter and she looks like the other 3. The two guys are totally androgenous.

ALL 4 LOOK LIKE THEY CAME OUT OF A CARTOON.
So that will be the future - AI generated "super perfect cartoon-pretty faces" instead of such faces generated by plastic surgery and dieting.

Most of these plasticized actors cannot act anyways ....

The tendency is to have plasticized actors who badly act in trashy soaps.
Instead of watching Chairman Mao badly acted trashy soaps, ppl watch badly acted trashy soaps that have violent romances etc such as Pursuit of Jade and Perfect Crown

THE MAIN PREMISE IS THAT THE BASIC TASTE IS CHEAP AND OFF
and AI or no AI actually makes no difference....
