Although similar in some aspects of the storyline to Autumn's Concerto, each drama is different. Autumn blew me away, but Loving was also very good in it's own way. Absolutely loved Jerry Yan. This is my first drama by him, but judging from people's comments of his usual characters, he played the cold, rich businessman to a perfection. What woman watching this type of drama does not want to be the one to tame a cold ruthless rich alpha male into a loving partner who swears to take care of you the rest of your life?
I would have given this a higher mark if not for some of the pissed off moments I had watching a really naive to the point of being stupid female lead. It was really annoying seeing how many times she did the damsel in distress moments by physically falling down in front of her man. Aside from that, excellant drama, my first China drama, I look forward to seeing more dramas from there now.

I'm Lovin this drama soooo much!!! This is my first Taiwanese drama and it did not disappoint. The couple has such great chemistry, I have not seen such a compatible couple in a while. I'm now more into Korean dramas, but this one also kind reminds me of Korean drama's than HK dramas. The story is nothing unusal, rich guy disguises himself as a ordinary poor guy and tries and gets girl that way. But the drama is written in such a sweet way, I am enjoying it so much. I laugh, I cry, and I sigh.......so romantic, Aarson such a hot dude, I highly recommend this drama. I will look forward to seeing more dramas by Aaron Yan and Tia Lee.

***Addn'l comments:

I wrote the above review while only half way thru the drama, something which i probably do again. I still liked this drama very much and look forward to more dramas by both main actors/actress and contrary to most of the bad reviews I understood why the 2nd half of the drama was written this way. It was not boring nor did it drag for me. Having said that I did understood everyone's frustration with how the main characters reacts while being manipulated and abused by family members. They became like doormats especially the female character. It became really hard to believe someone can accept some of the stuff being dished out to her and she not only does nothing, but also says "it's ok". Being a hot headed person myself, it was very frustrating to watch to the point where I wanted to either throw something at the screen or just scream at her. Ending however was to my satisfaction, I'm a big believer in Karma and the belief of "be careful of what you wish for", lol. Final ending sceen was VERY CUTE! all in all, I still liked the drama and would watch again.

I watched this drama because of Do Jin Hoo who I fell in love with in Goong. However, in this drama, he is a far cry from the sexy prince in Goong. It's just that once you've seen him as a prince in Goong, you are spoiled forever. To be fair, Jin Hoo played the character correctly, which is a kind of shy, geeky guy. His acting was very good, however, I didn't really fall in love with his character. Too much crying for a guy. The drama overall was good. I was hooked from the start, got angry a lot and was emotionally moved a lot. Shows you how unfair life can be and how bad things can happen even to good people. The little girls and even teenage girls playing the rolls of the actors & actress when they were young did a phenomenal job. Made me wish I could see more of them. The villain female in this drama, did all kinds of mean and evil things and did get caught eventually during the drama (didn't have to wait to the end) and that made me really happy. The problem I feel with this drama was the romance between the main roles and of course the ending which a lot of people complained about. As they say, "I did't feel the love". So good as this drama was, I probably would not rewatch it. But first timers should catch it.

i heard this drama was good, but I never knew how GOOD it really was. This drama is a MUST SEE, it is that good. The "Fish Out of Water" story line is wonderful and often so Hilarious. The romance between the 2 main actors develop slowly, but it becomes heart melting when it blossoms. You will laugh, you will cry, root for good guys & boo the bad guys. But most of all you will have an incredible ride with all the wonderful characters. I highly recommend this drama and I can't wait to rewatch it again & again.

Where do I begin to say HOW GOOD this drama is. It ranks as my MUST SEE drama to anyone asks for recommendations. I've already rewatched it and it still makes me cry and laugh. The main actor is one of the sexiest & hottest guys in demand and you won't be able to resist him when you see him on screen. He has great chemistry with female lead who is also one of the hottest actresses today. Storyline is paranormal as well as personal tragedy mixed in. The rich CEO guy starts off somewhat of an ass in the beginning, but you can see he really is not so bad and of course the love of a good woman changes him for the better. Great rewatch value, Feel Good Ending: !0++++

Just as I don't understand why HEART STRINGS did not get higher reviews and higher ratings in Korea when it did so well internationally, I don't understand why so many people like this drama PLAYFUL KISS. It's got to be the worst drama ever. I really tried to get into it and like it, but it just did not have any redeemng qualities. Not even to watch Kim Hyun Joong, whom I adored in BOY'S OVER FLOWERS. He was sooo swoon worthy there, cutting the food for the girl!!! I mean who does that??? However, in this drama, he was just a total jerk from the get go. I tried to make it through High School and hope that every one matures in college and something sparks between the main couple, but it just dragged on with the male lead being a total ass and the female lead just being a rug with no backbone and no self-esteem. I just hope young girls don't follow her example. Wasted my time, so much better dramas to watch.

I loved this drama so much, I rewatching it again. I don't know why it did not do well in Korea, but as a viewer from the U.S., I absolutely loved it. The music was phenomenal, the couple was really sweet and even the supporting cast was great. We even got some "eye candy" as a treat, what more can you ask for. It was like watching a Korean version of High School Musical. So glad I didn't listen to the reviews and made my own judgement. Jung Yong Hwa, super cute!

So Realistic........I couldn't stop watching

Some people were complaining about how frustrating it was to watch, especially crazy family dynamics. Well, imagine living it like I did and not just watching it. Watching this drama, was like watching my own family life from years ago go by. The only difference was that my life did not end as well as the main characters................my parents never changed.

Many who are Asians can really relate to this drama, it is rivoting, I couldn't stop watching, could stop yelling at my TV. But overall, it is really a "feel good" drama with a good ending. Highly recommend.

Appropriately named Drama "Doom"

The first episode hooked me with some promising scenes of Doom doing his thing, getting the bad guys. However, further into the drama, it became evidently disappointing and eventually boring. I actually wanted to drop it, but held on because I was such a big Seo In Guk fan, hoping it would pick up later. The the ML & FL had no chemistry what so ever, I began to fast forward scenes of them together. I dont know why, but I could not relate to the FL at all, overall I think the storyline was pretty bad. Surprisingly, towards the middle I started gravitating towards the 2nd Lead couple, Team Leader Cha Joo Ik and the BFF Na Ji Na. Now she was a spit fire, I loved her. And I started to fall in love with Team Leader Cha Joo Ik, he was so cool. I started to look forward to more of their storyline and wishing they were the main characters instead. I hope they do get their own drama oneday. Overalll drama was "Doomed" to fail.

This starts off as a light hearted historical. Tiffany Tang and wallace Huo bang heads and meets in some really hysterical situations in the begining but gradually fall in love. These 2 main leads had some great chemistry going and there were quite a few sweet romantic scenes. Story line did get serious as the drama went on, but very satisfying ending. Even the secondary couple was very good. The Ost is really good and matched the drama perfectly. I listened to it a lot and imagined my favorite "fire fly" scene when I hear it. I absolutely loved this drama, highly recommend!

I had to check out this old Classic Favorite and I was not disappointed. This is my 2nd Jerry Yan drama, and he has got to be one of the sexiest guys in world. OMG, I mean if he falls in love with you, he will take care of you for life and give you 110%. He has that trade mark, sideways smirk/smile that gets me every time. Ella was funny in this drama, but I did not like her character that much. I felt that although she was suppose to portray a really dense & naive girl, she kind of irritated me a lot with her insensitivity, especially towards Jerry who was in love with her and her sister who was hurt by her actions however un-intentional. I actually was more interested in her sister's character, I really liked her. The storyline was really good, acting by supporting cast was terrific. If Ellen's character was not so annoying, I probably would have given it higher marks.

As a harlequin romance reader myself, this is a typical Rich Tycoon, ordinary office girl romance. Though storyline is typical, it did not make this drama any less enjoyable. Loved acting by both main characters, great chemistry. Very romantic and some pretty funny parts as well. Actress played "ditzy girls" really well. Guy played cool yet loving boyfriend/lover to the T. I loved it, I watched it twice already.

This is such an amazing drama, I give it a solid 10. Main actor Zo In-Sung is so gorgeous, so cool! I fell in love with him in Winter When The Wind Blows, and he did not disappoint in this drama either. Not only good looking, but incredibly good actor, either playing it cool or showing incredible emotions. Female lead, Kong_Hyo-Jin, ranks one of my top favorite Korean actress. Loved her quirkiness in Master's Sun, love her feistiness in this drama as well. Chemistry & romance off the charts with this drama!!! What a great couple. Supporitng cast also really fun to watch. While learning a lot about mental illness, the drama did not depress me. Such a well done drama, I highly recommend. Rewatch value: 10, Feel Good Value at the End: 10+++.

Easy to Watch Sweet Rom Com

There is not much to the storyline, typical Deity drops down to earth as punishment and then falls in love with earthling. But there is such great chemistry between the ML & FL. Nothing passionate, but very very sweet love. It will tug at your heart strings, especially towards the end. But looks like there is going to be a 2nd season. Definitely looking forward to it.

I watched this drama because I loved the main actress (Zanilia) in THE JOURNEY OF FLOWER, where she was absolutely amazing as a strong female character. So, I can't blame her for the wishy washy, gullible female she turned into (especially towards the end) in this drama. The writing for her storyline was just awful. The top half of the drama was very promising with the cold and handsome Shi Wu Ji played by Qi Ji. Strangely enough, the writer did an amazing job writing his character, ruthless, cold, sharp businessman. Yet he meets his soul mate and he turns into this wonderful husband/lover who loves her despite all her flaws and hands her the world on a Silver platter no less. But Huan Er doesn't fully appreciate all that he does and chooses the Stupidest path which of course hurts this wonderful man. To be honest, I don't think she deserved him. Watch this drama for Qi Ji. I first saw him in CRUEL ROMANCE also as a cold ruthless Japanese spy. He was so handsome, I really wanted to like him, but he was just so evil. So this drama really redeemed him in my eyes as a tamed bad boy. I look forward to seeing him in more dramas.
