Thank you for giving some attention to Love of Sandstorm (or Love Storm as it's known on Netflix). Definitely an overlooked (mini)drama that should get more attention!
To add on, my favorites are: In Time With You, Love of Sandstorm, Love, Timeless/Just You, Pleasantly Surprised and My Queen.
I can understand how these dramas may not suited for everyone's taste but as you said, each country/region has their own style/flavor to their dramas and they should be appreciated on their own merits. I like seeing how different countries/regions interpret and tell stories with their own spin on it and am glad that we a variety of choices to choose from.

Well, I can't give it a full endorsement because we're not even past the halfway point in this drama and there's always a chance they can drop the ball in the end. However, for what it's worth, I'm usually not into dramas with amnesia/mistaken identity, etc but I like the way it's been executed so far in this drama. This drama gives me Pleasantly Surprised vibes and the director of this drama directed Just You and Back to 1989. Those dramas had their flaws but something about them just clicked for me, so if you're familiar with those dramas maybe you'll like this.

The lead actress mentioned on her instagram to wait for the second series. Originally I saw that this had 36 episodes so maybe they split it into two "seasons" with 18 episodes apiece.
