I'll say this again, this show deserves to have 25-50 episodes. It's too compact. Too short. Too fast. When they…
50 episodes will make it too draggy and I know since I went as far as watching many 60-100+ episodes historical Chinese dramas and I almost lost it sometimes due to how torturous the dragginess could get with them.
Maybe 25 episodes isn't a bad idea though, I actually prefer this fast pace cause most historical dramas can be awfully draggy to the point where I lose interest completely at the end like I said before. I even got tired of the whole crown prince selection part at the end so am glad we are already done with that and they didn't waste too much time on the crown princess selection thankfully since it is the part I don't care about the most lmao
This fast pace keep the watchers hooked and focused to not miss any details so it kills the boredom factor.
I usually don't bother about the use of science in BL's anymore, but I always think of the Japanese being better…
Yeah that's exactly what is ruining this drama for me, it's more of a boring slice of life show at this point, and they repeat the same thing every episode, some cute scenes at the end of episodes, some scenes of them being sad silently and staring at each other and that's it. Like I can't even get into sad mood over it cause I mostly just either feel bored, or blank.
There is barley supernatural elements apart from Koich being a corpse, and I thought that girl with magic abilities would actually add something to the plot and help explain what's going on. But she just exists...
I really love the cinematography but I cant bring myself to fully like this show, I feel like there's something…
Same, the plot feels hollow at times and I find myself a bit bored mostly, just like someone above mentioned, they don't even bother explain what's happening to Koichi and how he is able to stay as a a corpse blah blah, it's just scenes of them going to school, being silently sad, and having few lovey dovey scenes at the end of each episode. I can't even get sad or anything, just feel blank, but I admit their chemistry is great at least.
So Ai's mother appears out of the blue after all these years, then Ai believes her bullshit and lash out at his parents who properly raised and took care of him since he was young?! I mean if she cared that much why she didn't appear sooner? She just remarried and had another family and decided to forget Ai's ass till he became adult, and she even made it painfully clear that she is doing just for the sake of her daughter and yet Ai just goes with the flow, say crap to his fathers, does the surgery and leave with her to unknown place as if he is 9 years old...
At least they made her take off her mask to show her ugly true face pretty quick, but Ai still went and did what she wanted all for the excuse of "You gave birth to me so I'm paying you back" Like if it's a favor that she gave birth to him when it was her decision not his to begin with, especially after she basically abandoned him afterwards.
I know this may sound cruel, but if I was in his place I would be like "save your daughter on your own, it's not my responsibility since you made it clear that I wasn't your responsibility, pay the price for your shit on your own bitch and never show me your face again nor bother interacting with me!" then left instantly.
Now she decides to take revenge and go as far as telling Nhai to break up with him as if he is supposed to listen to her and that her opinion matters!
Also when Ai made it clear he didn't want to talk to his sister and Nhai kept insisting to let her in and even went to sit with his mother, I was like really? Why would you bother when even your boyfriend, her son made it obvious they made him uncomfortable and miserable?!
Both Nhai and Ai are dumb as fuck, and at this point I'm even tired from their lovey dovey repetitive cringe scenes, there was no plot at all till episode 9 and now they do this odd crap to add pointless drama when the show is about to end, do they hire people from street o write their scripts or something?!
omg what's going on? they keep dragging each episodes after the main leads got together
Ikr! There is basically no plot in this drama, just the leads acting lovey dovey or even cringe as hell most of the time...4-6 episodes could be enough honestly.
me too......can't see another good drama getting ruined with this romance BS.
Like if a romance gonna ruin the plot, turn the focus from important things to two people acting lovey dovey, and overall waste time then why add it? If it will help the plot or it's the main focus then sure, I don't mind romance, but when it's not then why?!
It also reminds me of a kind of an argument I had before months on YouTube about BL dramas and when they include straight romance in them and give it too much screen time. I said if BL lovers wanted straight romance then they could go watch one of the billion straight romance dramas out there, why add straight romance in an LGBTQ+ / BL show?!
And it's even worse when it has half screen time or sometimes more than the BL couple lmao although most people agreed with me, but some would still be nagging saying I was overreacting.
I don't dislike romance overall, I watched many romance dramas and highly enjoyed many of them, but when I watch thriller/sci fi/horror/crime I watch them to have a change and see dark and deep stuff, not fluff and I don't get the huge obsession people have with romance. Especially when it doesn't make sense, or feel forced and sudden due the odd script or the actors not having any chemistry at all to begin with.
At times the lead of a drama will be supposed t be cool, smart, and badass then the authors add unnecessary romance and they end up turning them into a lovesick retard who can't be logical or make any sane decisions thanks to their love. That's another issue, ruining characters for the sake of romance.

Ikr! Why do they need to include romance in literally everything and every damn genre. This is a thriller drama revolved around crimes and emergency situations, why add romance? If we want romance then we can watch rom coms or whatever instead.
Which drama is the actor from your profile picture is from? He is the same guy who acted in Vincenzo, Modern Farmer,…
Oh, the amount of dramas that includes the female cross dressing thing is startling lol I don't mind it, but what bothers me is that most of the time the FL is clearly a woman with a very petit feminine body and voice yet everyone pretends to be blind until someone exposes her, and they don't even try to make her look believable as a male, nor hire androgynous looking actresses and teach them how to behave "manly" to fit the role better.
It's more believable when a male pretends to be female since they are tons of gorgeous Asian male celebrities who could easily pass for a woman though, wish they made more of male crossdressing ones instead.
After that essay I just wanna say I will watch the Love in the Moonlight drama since this actor is so sweet and charismatic, so I always love his roles and historical genre is my favorite so...just spoil one thing for me, does he die? Cause that seems to be a thing of his, they always make him die a very miserable death or almost die and it always kills me lmao I will still watch, but I need to prepare mentally first.
Speak for yourself Some people are sick and tired of so-called "romantic" stories If "romance" doesn't spoil a…
Exactly! It's worse when you see the tags, they don't mention romance at all which gets you all excited and relived, then you watch and a pointless romance appear out of nowhere to get shoved down your throat. Like if I want romance I will go watch a romance tagged drama instead. Especially in thriller, crime, or horror genres. these genres don't need romance at all. (Though there are few rare cases like Flower of Evil and Big Mouth where the romance makes sense and don't really ruin the plot).
