From what I've seen of Princess Wei Young, I'd say Ming Lan is even better at plotting well and defend herself ;)

The downfall of his first woman starts in episode 21 and at the end of the episode she leaves with his son. You can start watching from there if you want to skip her.

Title The Story of Ming Lan Spoiler
Sooo... Gu Ting Ye has a side hoe and kids by episode 8. And there are about 60+ more episodes to go. The fact…
Generally I really don't like watching shows where the ML had a previous lover so I was really turned off by Gu TingYe at first. I think I even dropped the for a while.
However, this show is soooo good that its worth giving it an extra chance.

In the beginning he is young and wild, which is reflected in his mistress. This is a major part of his character arc. So to remove her would be doing his character growth a disservice. In hindsight, now I kind see it like a guy who was previously dating/married and had kids. Then he met the love of his life and realised what true love is like . And a huge part of the drama is that kids shouldn't be burdened by their parents. So his kids aren't really a foil for his relationship with the MC.

For me the main part is that there is monogamy and fidelity while he is with the MC, and that never changes. He is an amazing character as he grows and learns from his mistakes. If you really can't handle his love plot with the first woman skip ahead. It's a shame to miss out on all of it just because you couldn't stand the beginning.

I think asiancrush only works in North America, so if you're not there that might be why you're having problems

Watched about 13 episodes and kinda like it. But I'm afraid there's gonna be a lot of back and forth breaking up and making up before the (hopefully) happy ending. Anyone who's watched it that could give a hint on how the main couple's relationship is gonna develop?

Very moving movie, liked it a lot. Also interesting since I rarely watch movies about rural China.

Pretty sweet drama, and I appreciated the dedication of the ML :) lead characters had great personalities. However personally found the chemistry between the leads a bit lacking, and the story slightly boring (despite the action) so I ended up dropping it. Mostly just my personal taste though since there was nothing concrete I can complain about.

Title About Time Spoiler
Well, you act like they would be happy if she just stayed with him, but they would be miserable. She would know…
I think you're right about them both just thinking about what they want and need at the moment. I guess Mi ka get's the most of my ire because she's the one making the decision. Its just so frustrating sometimes when a character makes a unilateral decision without consulting their partner. She does have the right to end the relationship if she wants to, and I agree that she might be miserable and regret it if it turns out she stole all his time. But there should be some discussion about it at least. I guess I should build more tolerance towards dramaland rules where rarely proper discussions take place about relationships or problems.

Were they really brothers? Not just gay lovers thus a taboo love? Was the movie like a time loop? Started with the aftermath of the murder of the girlfriend that Lueng apparently carries out in the end? Though how did her body get staged? What was that stage with the doll human? Lots of questions

For sensitive viewers: there are some mild kissing between the cousins. And while not a specifically happy ending as such, it isn't a sad ending, more ambiguous. Personally I interpreted it as somewhat happy.

Although not that realistic and vague I still kind of liked it. Incest is a complicated subject but it does create an interesting tension in the movie. The movie just kind of flows, not much drama or content. It's more of a mood movie, I get a very particular feeling from it. It doesn't really effect your emotions strongly but I still feel with the characters and their very muted struggle and feelings. It felt like a snapshot of a time in their life.

Agreed, they just complain about Poong when he's done nothing wrong except maybe being a strict boss. However the mom makes constant mistakes in her work, and the oppa and auntie are disloyal employees who tries to get a job with the restaurant nemesis... Poor Sae Woo is stuck in the middle between her unreasonable family and (previously) out of the loop bf. At least she's trying to deescalate things and not take sides, which I appreciate.

Title About Time Spoiler
I'm totally over Mi ka's "selfless" act of pushing him away so that she doesn't steal his time. Talk about not respecting him enough to make his own choices. And since she'll die pretty soon if this keeps up she won't even have to face the consequences of her actions: he'll be the one who'll have to live 60 years in grief and loss without her.

I mean, it's not a totally clear choice: would you choose 60 years without the one you love or 30 years with the one you love? I see the merits in both choices, however it is not her decision to make honestly. I really dislike it when character's make decisions for others, decisions that are not theirs to make.

It's kind of sweet/romantic (in a grim way) - they will die simultaneously, literally simultaneously. It's like he says in the drama: "she'll die without me and I can't live without her. "

Ugh, I am so tired of Min Tae Joo's victim mentality. If you think your bff is such an asshole either drop them as a friend or confront them. Yoo Chan is obviously capable of change so Min Tae Joo should just summon some courage and try to change his situation instead of just whining about it. Grow up dude.
