Title Seo Yeong, My Daughter Spoiler
What hurts me is that the brother doesn't support her when she wants to get married. I mean... she has been really…
I had to drop it because of the brother. Shit, apparently that was a real soft spot for me. The way he just totally dismissed her when she kept tabs on them. And because the dad actually shapes up he probably felt even more correct in his judgement of her. However no one can forsee the future, so the dad could have just as well fallen back into old habits and caused more suffering for her. What bugs me even more is that probably she will beg them for forgiveness later in the drama. As if they deserve it. She should have told at least her husband the truth. But not because of any loyalty to the dad but because the husband deserves it. Frustrating as fudge.

Title Seo Yeong, My Daughter Spoiler
What hurts me is that the brother doesn't support her when she wants to get married. I mean... she has been really really clear on what she feels for her father and how much he has hurt her. The brother has suffered way less by his own omission and forgiven the dad. So it makes me so sad to see that their sibling relationship is severed because the brother refuses to support her choice of disowning the dad. The brother didn't have to agree with her choice but it was way way harsh to disown her over it.

I mean, the dad even found out and supported her choice by not appearing in her life anymore. So what came out of the brothers refusal to see her any more? He lost a sister who was nothing but caring and supportive of him for nothing but some kind of high handed judgement of her choices. The number one rule for siblinghood is that you are there for the person no matter what, you have their back. Ugh, the rest wasn't that bad, and I didn't feel anything about the father, but the brothers actions legit made me cry.

Title Far Away Love Spoiler
I've started watching this drama a couple of times, then bailed because the drama was coming and I just couldn't handle it. Just, something I've always been curious about but never really confirmed because it would require me actually watching the angst. Did the ML really not deny being the kids dad when the sister returned? I mean, did he really let his wife/love believe that he was her sister's ex-lover/baby daddy? If he didn't deny, why? and why did the sister let the misunderstanding stand? If he did deny it, why didn't it get cleared up until the very end? Just in general, wtf happened when the sister returned?

Just based on me randomly watching a little in the end episodes my impression of the latter half of the drama is that the ML and FL start to fall in love, then the sister returns with the motive to take revenge, sister gives the impression the kid is the ML's and the ML doesn't deny it. A huge wedge in the ML and FL relationship and they didn't make up until the very end. My uninformed impression is that the ML still values the sister highly and therefore doesn't deny it to help her (and thereby hurting the FL, and implicitly prioritises the sister). And that the sister claims the ML as the baby daddy despite the FL being married to him (and thereby hurting the FL, and putting her revenge ahead of her sister).

Like I said, my kinda uninformed impression of the drama, and I would love it if someone could either correct my misunderstandings, or elabrate more on the motivations and happenings. This is probably my 6th time starting and then bailing this drama, and I just cannot get it out of my mind but don't really have the energy to watch through all the angst to get the real picture.

Haha, Sangmin is truly a romantic blackbelly xD Often ML are described as cunning but it is rare that they actually are. I love his plotting ;)

Though I did enjoy this drama because it was downright hilarious at times, I also have so many gripes with it…
So true, all of this! Its kind of interesting that sometimes as a viewer I just buy the plot no matter the absurdity. And then other times, like with this drama, I just cannot manage to suspend my disbelief. I wonder what decides whether I buy it or not. Perhaps in this case it is just the blatant lack of forethought that makes it so obviously a plot-device and nothing more. The writer wants to put the leads together, and the they don't even bother to make plausible.

Title You Are My Destiny Spoiler
So I just finished episode 15 and 16 and it is so sad, because the mom now knows everything and understands what…
Given the tonal difference of this version, I think its going to be really heartbreaking when Anna returns. I'm on ep. 14 and now I'm gonna wait to watch until its all out I think, to be able to fast forward past the sad sad sad parts... This version is great but too real for me sometimes - angsty.

Title You Are My Destiny Spoiler
I haven't watched the original or the remakes, but I know how the story will go.I don't understand why some are…
This is both a reply, but also some other thoughts I've had watching the drama. While I get the ML's point of view and I also don't think he is a bad person per say I also don't think he's acting like a good person at the moment. Sure his situation sucks but so does Jia Xin and Anna's, its not like he is the biggest victim in the situation. It's not in what he did but how he handles the situation that is really bad. Marrying Jia Xin with the intention of divorce and taking the child is taking advantage of her extremely submissive and nice nature. He is not looking at things from her perspective at all. Lying to Anna is disrespectful and cowardly, like... sure he can hide a marriage with a divorce, but won't she wonder where the child came from when she returns? Doesn't she have a say in their relationship and whether she wants it to continue after he cheated? I mean, it is kind of clear that the ML is desperate and in denial over the whole situation. However, in the mean time he is hurting both women.

I mean, another way of describing the drama is: a rich man cheats on his long-time girlfriend after a night of partying. The woman gets pregnant but he never tells his girlfriend he cheated, and strings the pregnant woman along with an ambiguous attitude towards their relationship.

In the drama you see the nuances of the situation and behaviour of the characters so like life it isn't black and white, but I think a reframing of the story at least makes it clear that the ML is behaving a bit like a martyr when he in fact is the perpetrator.

I actually really like this version (and the ML) because the ML overall treats the FL better and the plot overall feels very down to earth/realistic. But it also highlights how he just has his head in the sand in regards to the future and his relationships.

Shouldn't the summary be somewhat changed? I think its more:

After divorcing her husband, Ling Xunxun needs to get a job to regain custody of her child. Compounding her bad luck, her car collides with a luxury vehicle and she needs to pay for the repairs. However, this seeming misfortune unexpectedly leads to a new job as a 24/7 assistant for the young CEO Cheng Li. As a live-in "baby-sitter" for Cheng Li Xunxun experiences several challenges and setbacks but also grows both as a worker and a person. A drama about a former housewife divorcee with a child who starts a new life and finds love along the way.

Or something, I just don't think the summary is very accurate as is.

Title Nang Rai
First episode — The Good:(1) Wadee and her mother are a gift of God. (2) The female lead's audition for Nang…
Definitely agree with your thoughts.

Good (1) I absolutely agree. I especially like that it seems like the FL and Wadee will have a true friendship, I love that as often female characters are pitted against each other in love triangles.

Bad (2) It is such an annoying cliche, the poor FL who does everything for her family (including but not limited to: unethical actions, wasting money, forsaking relationships etc.) The level of enabling she exhibits is astounding, and she still expects better from them. I mean... giving her gambling addict mother her whole salary - why? Just an ounce of thought and she'd keep some of the money for long time planning to provide a better life for her family.

Title Oum Rak Game Luang Spoiler
I'm not really shipping anyone in this, the romance isn't really a factor for me. It is a really good show, and I like that you can get everyone's motivations and perspectives. However I'm getting really annoyed at everyone always going on about Giew not taking care of herself/baby properly. For me the one being irresponsible is Pin. I mean, she has a high risk pregnancy carrying another person's child yet she keeps on stressing herself out and not taking bad symptoms seriously. I would not be surprised at all if she went into labour very prematurely just from her jealousy. She should be the one being more responsible considering her pregnancy and stop spying on her husband, just trust everything will be OK and prioritise the baby.

The first three episodes really pulled me in but then it just stopped being funny. All the back and forth, insecurity, fickleness and that last episode... I finished it but just barely, would not recommend.

I'll be the odd person out here I guess ;) while the based of a real story part is cool and amazing - hella lucky and skilled pilot - the movie itself was kinda lackluster to me...

Honestly, I just felt like it was a 2 hour advertisement for an airline. The way they showed off the training of the crew, the mid emergency speech and in the end when a pilot declined medical care because "the passengers needed it more" or something. Very forced... You can have patriotic movies for nations, but what's the word for a similar admiration/promotion/self-congratulation for a company? Well, anyway, that word would describe this movie perfectly.

One or two scenes were a bit moving but overall a let down. A movie with a similar theme "Sully" I think covered this subject way better.

Perhaps I'm in the minority but I really like the FL. At first she was a bit annoying, but like the ML discovers she is someone who grows on you and now I find her quite charming :) I loved her in ep.26 - very funny and cool at the same time.

She gets less screen time compared to the guys, but when they let her be more than just exposition/background info I think she really shines. I recently watched Mystic Nine and she kind of reminds me of the FL in that drama, similar backgrounds and characters, but in this drama she has more agency and is a bigger part of the plot.

I thinkHu Yi Tian plays this role very well, he's an actor I haven't really watched a lot but has something special. Also, I agree about the opening song :) usually don't listen to the soundtrack but accidentally heard it today and wondered what song it was, so thanks for the link!

I watched mostly for An Na, and though she had a decent arc she wasn't really the main show. However the show was well made, interesting plots and did what one would expect from this kind of show.
