I can't find another male actor that can act the same as Mark Chao. He really set the bar so high for everyone…
Same. For me Mark Chao is just an amazingly outstanding actor :) I think Ethan Juan comes in second place on my list. I really enjoyed some of his performances, esp in Legends of FuYao.
MiraiArtx, Mehhh...it is just sad the possibility for a little cameo probably hasn't happened. Mark Chao can still a show with just one glance hehe. I was actually so bored with the romance between the childish Feng Jiu and emotionless Di Jun while I was watching Peach Blossom, so I am still on the fence about this continuation. I don't want any spoilers, but please tell me just one thing - has the little princess finally grown up?
I have recently read on some page that Ye Hua only appears 5 times in the book so that is probably why Mark Chao won't be returning to reprise the role. ://
Don't they usually hold auditions? Or do people get roles in China just coz of their name? If they make such a big scale movie that is adapted from a novel, they probably won't go for inexperienced actors and actresses for the main roles. It just wouldn't do. They have reputation to uphold and if Jang Mi was the best candidate why would you criticise her just for her age?
It’s funny because I just looked at the poster and saw that he was thelead and it literally just made sense…
Ahh yes! I agree wholeheartedly! :D I watched the series without subtitles on a page somebody else provided here: https://bagikuy.com/perfect-world-drama/ . I studied Japanese at university so subtitles are not always important to me. However, I also saw that some people posted a link to a subbed version further down on this page. I haven't checked it out, though.

So sorry, I am still confused! Ayukawa Itsuki is the name of the main character. The actors playing him are Iwata Takanori (in the movie) and Matsuzaka Tori (in the series). Which actor are you refering to? :) By the way, I have just watched the first 4 episodes of the series and I love Matsuzuka Tori as Ayukawa. He must have really prepared for his role coz his acting is so realistic in this series. Plus he is so drop dead gorgeous :D He just confirmed my initial thoughts :D
I have just finished watching the movie. It was nicely done, despite the fact that they had to chop off lots of the plot parts to make it fit for a movie time screen. While I was watching the movie I was thinking that Matsuzaka Tori would be perfect for the main role. I have nothing against Iwata Takanori, he did a great job too. Now I have discovered that they have been making the series as well and Matsuzaka Tori is actually in it. Yaay! I hope that the screen time will allow for the plot to develop more and show all the aspects of the manga that made me fall in love with the story in the first place - a realistic story that mirrors the contemporary society and its shortcomings. The manga is still not finished and has developed even more since last year, so I am really having my hopes up for this one.
