Title Meteor Garden Spoiler
They did cast someone (her name is Sun Qian) in that role, so I think they will though it is super outdated. It's…
omg I hate that part too! It is definitely is one of the saddest moments in the series

I don't write that often cause it seems like no reads them >-< though sometimes I feel compelled to write them anyway. As a reader, I'm a mix of the three types with a strong leaning towards post-watcher.

I wonder if Daoming Si still goes through the forced engagement in this version or is that too outdated to do…

I think a Hana Yori Dango remake with Suzu Hirose is unlikely. The 2005 ver has reached icon status, especially with the release of its sequel/spin-off this year. If there's another Japanese remake, it would have to be a few more years down the road. P.S. I never get tired of HYD remakes ;p

Skip episode 17 then cause we're screwed because she gets worst. The link says it all. Like where does this other…
There's a lot of "rivals" (though I call them nuisances) in the manga. I think this new guy is Junpei (he's in the first of episode of HYD2). In the original MG, his name is Xiao Shun.

I'm really surprised at how well this drama is following the manga, but also updating the story to fit well in 2018. Loving it so far!!

What is the difference between the two?
The episodes of the TV version are longer. The DVD version (the one used on Netflix) is shortened to 45 mins an ep. So the DVD version will be more than 48 episodes cause of all leftover scenes.

Her best friend has a cute face and I think that he also can be a part of F4 too. He blend well with these F4.
I thought so too! In the manga and the first MG, he kinda has a plain face so I was surprised that choose someone so good-looking. He's also more likable in this version.

MyDramaList claims that this version is a remake of the original one. But when I read the summary of Meteor Garden…
MGII actually isn't based on the manga at all (though it does have an amnesia story but it doesn't last as long). This remake probably won't cover MGII since its solely based on manga.

I agree with you on how they can expand it out to 48 episodes! Just watched the first 5 and so much has already…
This version is actually following the manga better than the others (so far). The manga is 36 volumes long so I could see that being 48 episodes since they're only at volume 4 in episode 6.

Nice article! I've only recently discovered Taishi in Hana Nochi Hare. I'm currently watching him in Yankou Karansha and My Little Lover. Now I can't wait to watch some of these movies you recommended ^_^
