The Pages of a Fairytale

Very good article, although I haven't watched any of the drama's you mentioned I do intend to at some point in…
Here here! What I think I find the most frustrating about the insistence on 'strong female leads' is that kindness and gentleness and thoughtfulness and politeness (I could keep going but I won't) are now seen as weaknesses in female characters. But how is being a nice person a weakness? It takes resiliency and strength of character, in my opinion, to continue being kind despite life's difficulties.

I would definitely add A Thousand Good Nights to this list. It's a slower paced, thoughtful drama with a very realistic story, and a great example of the what modern Taiwanese dramas can be.

I wish there were a way to bookmark articles on this site, because I would bookmark this one and the one you did on Xinxia dramas just to keep for my own reference. I don't currently watch either of these genres, but I want to eventually, so these articles are very useful.

I'm not even finished reading and I just had to stop to say that the non-stop metaphors and similes and alliteration and puns and absolute literary MAGNIFICENCE of this article is a thing to behold.

I started the first episode over the weekend and was really enjoying it until I got towards the end of the ep and realized the romance in this might be more physical than I'm interested in, then I read a comment that said there's 1-2 sex scenes per ep. Can someone please spoil it for me and let me know how graphic these scenes are? Is it more implied, is there straight on nudity, or is it like the original Fated to Love You where the leads just rolled around in sheets in a manner that was mostly kind of funny to watch cause there bodies were clearly not touching? I'm not interested in watching anything stronger than what you see in dramas like Last Cinderella (Japanese) and Just You (Taiwanese), so thanks in advance for the spoil.

Title Hello, Me! Spoiler
I thought it was pretty obvious from the beginning that this is fantasy. The show description says, "One day,…
I agree with jjonghaos about the shaman bits. They only seem to show up when the writer needs to make something happen then they disappear for large chunks of time and I kind of forget they're in the story. I would have liked that aspect of the story to have been weaved in a bit better and have a little more prominence. Not a whole lot as it works for that stuff to be working in the background, but I would have liked to see into that world just a bit more.

Title Hello, Me!
Until ep 13 there is not any romance between hani adult and yoo hyun
There's been romance. It just hasn't been flashy or overt. But she's definitely starting to notice him in a way she hadn't before.

Title Hello, Me!
Is this a slow burn romance? Everyone is saying not much going on. Debating if I should watch this or not
I second mangoapricot's comment. This drama definitely focuses more on the female lead overcoming her past and learning how to really live life again. The romance is a nice little bonus to the story.

I prefer older Hani's hairstyle in the initial episodes. The current hairstyle doesn't suit her. Wish they didn't…
I very much agree. I hate the new hairstyle.

Hello, Me! really is a unexpected gem. I wasn't expecting much at first, but it's really grown on me as I've watched.

I would highly recommend A Thousand Good Nights for anyone looking for more Slice of Life style drama recommendations. It has a really peaceful pacing to it and is all about family and love forgiveness and growth. Just a lovely series that I would like to see get more love.

Title Hello, Me!
Team Chunsik! A sinking ship but still. LOL
I do feel for him, even though I'm totally happy with the main pairing, lol. His young self is too stalkery and pushy for me, but his adult self has proven to be a lot more thoughtful and respectful than I initially thought. Meeting her again and those feelings being renewed has seemed to change him for the better, and now I just want him to be happy.

Title Hello, Me! Spoiler
I thought this show was simply sci-fi but it has some mystical fantasy into it. I'm wondering whether the person…
I agree. It makes the most sense for the story and is also just a well-written punch to the gut in terms of emotion. I really hope it's the case. If it is, I think it also means that when grandma was talking about taking her instead, she meant her dying in place of young Ha Ni which leads me to suspect that maybe grandma is going to sacrifice her life for young Ha Ni so that fate or whatever will be satisfied and let her go back to the past, which again, I think would be another well-written punch to the gut for this story. Truthfully, I wasn't super impressed with how the whole time-travel, shaman, mystery, fate part of the storyline was progressing, but if our suspicions are correct, I'm actually a little bit impressed now. I thought this was would be an easy, turn my brain off for the more outlandish parts drama, but it's seems to be turning into something more, which I'm totally down for.

Ji Eun didn't end up going through with it. It's disappointing that she seriously considered it, but I understand feeling such a strong desire for a loving mother figure and to be valued for who you are that I can understand why she might have thought about doing it.

I'm very intrigued about the whole time slip in the drama. From what I see, teen Hani's cellphone is the device…
Sorry for the book, lol. I've had a lot of thoughts on this aspect of the drama and no one to tell them to.
