327 episodes? How did they even accomplish that? Couldn't they tell such a story easily in like 50 episodes? What happens?!

In a conservative country like Korea.. Aren't movies like this a horrible introduction for people to the topic of LGBT? I understand that the intent is to discuss trauma but hopefully we can get movies to acknowledge that gay relationships can just be consensual and loving as well. It's good that he eventually moves past his homophobia but I'm assuming there's gonna be a lot of negative depictions of LGBT before that happens.
I'm just basing my opinion on the synopsis since I haven't seen the movie though. So if I'm wrong about the movie, please tell me.

I personally didn't really have that boyband-effect as I went into The Untamed knowing that the two main guys were a couple in the original material. I intended to watch it with that in mind and enjoyed seeing their chemistry. But that way of viewing like mine is probably a BL-culture thing. I know Untamed has both BL fans and non-BL fans so that can create some different ways of viewing the drama.
I definitely wouldn't mind more of the Untamed guys having relationships with other characters but of course I'm glad they left the main guys alone since censorship wouldn't have allowed them to end up together.

Jungsuh’s father is the most worthless father in kdramaland.

Whenever you think the past was more romantic, please watch shows like this to remind yourself how far society has come. Anyway, it's good to see some actual portrayal of the problematic morals from just a few generations ago. Also good to remember that some poor women in our world still have to live like this.

A lot of people don't get that Dong Cheol HAD to die at the end to resolve the hyung-plotline. Yeah it sucks that they didn't get to take down the main villain together action-movie style but I was fine with it as long as the bad guy got his lesson. Him dying with the horrible nurse was a good way to get rid of them both.

So what I mean by hyung-plotline is that Dong Wook would never have felt his place among his family as long as things stayed the same. He would always have felt that he was the outsider with Myung Hun replacing him as the son/hyung. Dong Cheols final gift was making a place in the family for Dong Wook so that he would feel he has a place again. Of course he didn't wilfully sign up to die but I'm sure he knew the results of his death when he lay there bleeding to death. He saved his hyung AND gave him a place among his family.

Anyway, that doesn't take away the stupidity of Dong Wook though. I can't believe he worked against the man he considered a father. Hope he pays his hyung back by taking care of their family for the rest of his life. Anyway, Myung Hun kinda didn't get a lot of screentime with his family at the end in my opinion. I get that he was all pro-revenge at the end but he was robbed of a lot of family love in my opinion so would've been nice to see him a bit more accepted during the time that Dong Wook was being a traitor.

I'm crying right now after finishing this drama. Dong Cheol is honestly just a saint and yeah he's mayby too selfless but I don't mind that sort of character. This drama may take a lot of time and has a lot of sub-plots (I literally skipped the entire Mike subplot cause I didn't care) but the characters will move you emotionally. It does get draggy at some points so I do suggest skipping a bit sometimes

This drama is trash don't waste your time. Unless it gets better, I'm on episode 13 and I just don't like how…
It's actually Episode 33. The son of the evil guy takes a DNA test and the nurse who switched them confirms it to the son. The rest probably find out gradually.
