So made in Hong Kong but are they going to follow Chinese censorship laws so they can promote it in mainland China?…
I don't think they will, while there is a market for it the mainland Chinese fans wouldn't wanna be stuck with a watered down version that doesn't even have a kiss. So I think it'll just be dependent on international and views from Hongkong fans. Of course mainland Chinese fans will watch it too but they'll just pirate the BL.
Yeah altho given the age of Momochi its a bit late for rebirth now. Of course if they don't intend to continue the relationship after rebirth then it's no issue. I think it's best if they both get reborn at the same time.
Well, I watched the final episode. I suppose she's just earning that heaven money by drawing manga and will return for a while anytime she has earned enough. Well, while it's not ideal I think somehow everyone in the story can find peace with that if it's just an event that happens once every year.
I see the bromance tag on this drama but I'm at episode 12 and am not noticing any major bromance. Is it still too early or am I missing something here? Just curious since I know sometimes its later on in the drama
It had its moments, mostly watched it cause Korean media doesn't bring up LGBT topic a lot and was interested how it would be portrayed in such an older drama. For its time its pretty progressive but I wouldn't recommend this to BL fans for multiple reasons. Aside from that, yes it has a lot of mature scenes.
People have their own taste. It might not be your cup of tea and that's ok. I dont even know or heard of the Long…
Look its all about what you're used to. In fact if you had the same watch history as me I'm sure you would've been fine with the acting. If I had the same watch history as you I'd likely also dislike with the drama since its a cultural shock if you go into with the wrong expectations. I'm not gonna hold the bigtime cdramas vs the small romcom ones.
Watch The Romance of Tiger and Rose, King is not easy, Love by Hypotic or better yet Crazy Queen and Go Princess, Go!. Theres a market for these types of dramas. Are they all amazing dramas? No you'll likely hate some of them deeply but that's not what the point is.
You see, not all of us want to be invested in a super long complicated plotline. Sometimes I want to tune out of reality and watch a fun show and laugh at stupid stuff. Also sometimes the bad parts are what make it fun, you have to be able to appreciate how extra some things are.
Like the (if you know, you know) commercial in Go Princess Go! or the hamburger eating in Crazy Queen. It's ridiculous but thats also what makes it so fun to watch. It gives it some uniqueness and remains memorable.
-Do I want to have to keep track of multilevel political alliances while watching my romcom? Rather not too much. -Do I want to see incredible acting? If they can at least cry and kiss in a believeable way I'm fine with it. Is that bad taste on my part? Mayby but we all have our own preferences don't we? Like I hate medical dramas but I just avoid them and don't seek them out.

None of those you mentioned ( "New face", "The Long Night", "Joy of Life", "Moonshine and Valentine", Longest day in Chang'an") are cdrama romcoms so you're comparing dramas with entirely different purposes and audiences.
The acting is different because the genre is different. It's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be cutesy and funny. It may not be your type of humour and that's fine everyone has their own taste.
Just say you dislike the romcom genre and be at peace.
Just finished the drama. What a ride in those final episodes I love it. Im now convinced you need AT LEAST knowledge of season 1 to fully enjoy this drama. The references to season 2 are way less and the season 1 references are pretty vital. My advice is to watch season 1 before starting this one for full enjoyment and if you have extra energy season 2 too.
For fans of The Eternal Love franchise this show is definitely a treat you don't wanna miss out on. The chemistry is incredible again and it does address some of the earlier seasons. It's great to be able to recognise scenes or references. There are some iconic scenes in this show and the designs can be so pretty.
I've read some people dislike the male lead being different than usual in the beginning but I actually loved being able to see the male lead in different ways as his character grows. You can enjoy both his cute and his charming side in this drama so I only see positives here. It's very romantic and very comedic with some feels in between. Also make sure you actually like romcom dramas before starting this one. It may seem obvious but can be forgotten apparently.
For those curious its not a BL, the manga is definitely BL though. Basically what they did is remove any indication that the whole exorcism thing is anything aside from fear-inducing for the other character. In the manga it was kinda the source of the BL content.
Some references from the manga of the main characters possessiveness do remain and I don't agree with those saying the movie has zero bromance. Yes there is no lighthearted flirting like in some bromance productions due to the vibe of the movie but there still is a bond between them and they do have their moments. It's just not a ton of it.
Episode 7. Wow!! Well we've had the kiss and at least its confirmed we will get a wedding before Tomoe's soul gets yeeted into heaven. But yes I still hold to my idea that this show will likely just be mainly focused on Momochi having grown from this romance and experience. It's sad the FL had to die for it but I don't see them together unless the ending does a surprise plottwist.
Ngl, I seriously think season 3 should be cancelled. There's just nothing that can possibly redeem it anymore.…
I respect their decision to cancel Joseon Exorcist but still think it was unfortunate things ended up like they did. With just a few small adjustments it could've been avoided. I was looking forward to the cool fightscenes but oh well. It is how it is. National pride in the history is important and I get that.

Good thing they can fly.
