I guess its because we know and can empathize with LDS. The wounds from his past and all his personal battles…
Oh my comment was not meant to try and disprove your point at all. It was a further reflection on the feelings that contributed to cause the preference for Dong Shik among some viewers like myself. I'm aware how biased it is (since he is the character with the most focus on him) but I'll still like Dong Shik more for now. Doesn't mean that won't change in the future of course since a lot of events still need to happen. It's just that recently things ended unfavorably with HJWs plans. I'm sure when things start going well he will become a more popular character.
The last few episodes was like seeing a similar event play out again but it's HJW leading the charge. We know with Dong Shik it ended bad last time to act this way (fabricating evidence) so to see HJW follow that game and gain the exact same bad outcome is less surprising than the first time it happened. Hoping that HJW takes lessons from someone else than Dong Shik next time. Anyway yeah the towns people are definitely annoying sometimes with their secret keeping. Quite a toxic town, perfect for the drama though.
Ep 10 ending is what I expected from them, finally! Although it's a pity that it comes at the expense of something…
I guess its because we know and can empathize with LDS. The wounds from his past and all his personal battles are known to us and make him feel like his character does things with good reason. Yes it is not always the right thing but his actions are so driven by emotions that he feels like the most human character of everyone.
Then theres HJW who is the newcomer. We know the past of HJW is much more stable and luxurious than LDS. Yes he had his issues as well with his family but he didn't go through the same torment LDS went through. HJW seems to have much less invested into this whole thing (no personal connections of him were killed) and that's why he can treat it so lightly. This does allow him to break through certain things which are needed to progress the story. However, when the plays around with LDS who is a broken man as if its a simple game it kinds hurts. LDS did do the same thing but was driven by wanting his sister returned. Meanwhile HJW just wants the truth but the personal stake he has in this case is much weaker than LDS.
Nice ending ^^ I would've liked to know more about the main 3 characters but for a 6 episode show it was decent. I loved that we had a bit more focus on Amamiya in the last episode. I did watch this show mainly for Machida Keita originally but was happily surprised with the overall vibe of the show too. It's very calming to watch and the (canned) food and drinks looked cool!
I guess we can all learn something from this drama, mainly don't start with kids too early XD Also of course that you have to be grateful for what you have and that two people are needed to make a relationship work.
This is going to be a pretty funny comedy I can already see they're following the manga super closely. Also, the student with the backpack reminded me of actor Mizobata Junpei in Tengoku to Jigoku. Both have very cute ways of holding their backpack.
I don't think main character will end up with anyone but will enjoy seeing the many couples formed over the course of this show.
Oh that's meant to signify death. The red is more representative of the blood that is about to be spilled as killings are going to take place by their enemies. The marriage clothes were part of a fake marriage to attempt to save their country but they knew it wasn't sure to succeed. They invited all the powerful people to make sure they wouldn't be attacked that night, this plan failed. They died honourably as good friends.
