Yes sometimes mistakes are made and sometimes we have to handle the outcome of such mistakes. The choice to bully someone is theirs and if they continue that behaviour for years then they should be prepared for consequences. That's not a small mistake anymore, that's a lifestyle he had.
It's just like unhealthy habits kept up for long enough; eventually it catches up to you.

Yes if people want to become famous they should uphold good values and be a good example to their fans in that position. I thought that was pretty well established, some countries may not follow that guideline but Korea does. That's a far way from being flawless, just be a decent human with no dark secrets.

I'm not afraid of more Korean actors being exposed for bullying, they have agencies and lawyers that will handle the cases and determine which ones are valid. I'm mainly hoping the school system of Korea starts taking the problem of bullying more seriously.

''I'm not sure if you read my entire post bc I said I've also experienced it and was a victim of bullying myself. I know and understand all too well what it's like, physical and verbal bullying.''

No I read your post and addressed exactly that point with this part. You can disagree but its just my opinion that bullying can leave different types of mental scars for people because humans are unique.

What I wrote:''We cannot judge the victims individual experience and demand a response based on our own experiences with the subject. Their experience is unique to them and there is no standard protocol to handling such an experience.''

Mayby it doesn't help the victims to ''stay in the past'' but have you considered that them telling their story is their way of moving on? For some people it takes longer, that's a very individual experience.

The entire problem in this case is that he is a public figure. If he was just a random guy working in office the victims would've never encountered him again. Now he is a public figure with a fanbase that praises him and looks up to him as an example. It's okay for the truth to be out so people can make the clear choice to support him despite his past actions or not.

Trauma is a thing that can last for an entire lifetime. It's very easy to just call upon victims to move on, sometimes such an experience negatively impacts their entire life. For example by causing depression or social anxiety.

I've seen another user comment about having been bullied and being forgiving to this guy so I will repeat it again: We cannot judge the victims individual experience and demand a response based on our own experiences with the subject. Their experience is unique to them and there is no standard protocol to handling such an experience.

From what I heard the victims wanted the public to know what type of person he was. If you don't mind him having been a bully then keep supporting him but it's okay for the truth to be out there for others to decide for themselves whether to keep supporting him.

''Their selfish intent''? Their suffering is not something I would call selfish to share with the world. If the victims were suffering in silence you wouldn't be troubled with it yes but is that really the right thing? Yes this event did cause trouble for a drama-production team but that happens every time a scandal appears, just a case of replacing him with another actor.

I do think it was brave of the male lead to just tell Senka to go back to Edo since he is considerate to her situation because he loves her. She seems to be slowely forgetting stuff from Edo too (and being erased from that timeline) so I can get why the decision was made. Seems like there'll be a lot of heartbreak for the final episode. Hoping that Senka somehow stays but more than that I hope she finds happiness.

The episode is getting better and better, the acting of the guest roles are top notch, especially in Ep4, I got…
I coincidentally took notice of this in episode 4 too. They forgot to apply make up on his neck in some scenes and yeah it was a pretty visible colour difference. I guess they just didn't pick a great foundation for those scenes.

Ohhhh episode 4 is finally showing a bit more of the main characters instead of just focussing on the guests! We get shown a bit more of the main 3 on their own. The subject of episode 4 was interesting and the guest character was very expressive. Canned food luckily saved the day again!

Final episode is done, will miss the show and its energetic cast. I will definitely rate it high because with that many episodes they still managed to make most filler episodes pretty fun. The characters were also great and very memorable and I was invested in the story.

What a final episode. This season took the spot for number one and I don't think it will be moved any time soon.
Yes I really loved it as well!

It's great that you're a forgiving person to your old bullies. However, you or I didn't personally suffer from his behaviour so I think only the victims can properly make that choice to forgive him or not. Now he can be an example to students about how not to behave if you want to become an actor later on.
Public figures have an image they need to keep up. It's just part of the job and many actors manage that just fine.

I've watched a kdrama that did the same thing before. Joseon Survival (2019). Lead actor also had to get replaced.
The Joseon Survival drama heavily suffered from the scandal but it was mostly the reputation. The new actor filled the role pretty well but it happened at the 10th episode so it was much further into the story.

The scandal was so bad that fansubbers promptly dropped the show from their site and some episodes still aren't subbed. I don't think that will happen in this case and the show is still in the beginning phase. It will be a lot of reshooting though so I wish the drama production team much luck and strenght!

From the trailer and synopsis I am expecting some interesting bond between the two main leads. Episodes are out but still raw from what I saw.

addicted passed censorship.. until people created ruckus
Addicted basically was followed up by a whole new media censorship system in China. The main actors of Addicted are still not allowed to ever star in the same show again.
From the footage in the BTS (found on Youtube) of Addicted you can tell there were meant to be more scenes.
