probably from people like me lol I won't even watch this because a lot of people told me everyone dies in the…
So you're saying that a drama simply isn't worth watching just because everyone dies at the end? What kind of logic is that? LOL!
Not everyone gets emotional/upset over a drama.
And why spoil the ending of another drama totally unrelated to IRIS? Or did you do it on purpose because you saw on my profile that I'm currently watching Empress Ki?
"The Rise of Phoenixes" just took a dump on this garbage and I'm only on episode 19 of Empress Ki. Ji Chang Wook must be the most useless character ever to play the role of an emperor. He is a total cry baby sissy with no real power and has zero interest in running the country. He just runs around the palace chasing a maid because she reminds him of the guy he fell in love with from the woods.
With that blocky face, Ha Ji Won looks like a man compared to the beautiful Ni Ni in The Rise of Phoenixes. Ni Ni destroys her in acting too! Joo Jin Mo is my favourite Korean actor, but he too was not impressive here. Chen Kun from the same Chinese hit drama I mentioned; seems to be a class above the two Korean male leads from Empress Ki. His acting was truly phenomenal!
A very good historical drama that could have been very dry. The acting was great especially that of Fu Da Long…
I like your review and share pretty much the same opinion. I think this was the first drama I watched last year and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted another 50 episodes lol!
I'm currently watching the immensely popular "The Rise of Phoenixes" and am 61 episodes into the drama. In comparison to The Qin Empire 2, TRoP has a much more complex and deeper plot, better dialogues, politics, a bigger budget and far better sets, costumes and cinematography. In spite of this, I found myself more addicted to Qin Empire 2 because not once did I fell asleep lol! Like yourself, I also ended up giving it a 9/10. It's a shame that it's such an underrated drama.
What a great performance in "The Rise of Phoenixes". I've been a fan of her since her debut movie "The Flowers of War". I'm ready to marry her anytime , all she needs to do is say the words "I do".
