One day I’ll write an easy about how perfect Oliver acting is. He basically played four different people and five different personalities yet I felt every emotion, bonded and was able to distinctly differentiate all of them. Even the voices, if I were to look away or close my eyes, heavens know I wouldn’t be able to tell that Heartless, Fiery and Wen Ren were played by the same actor. I know I sound so bias right now but this is literally my fourth watch and each time I watch I really appreciate how much work and effort he put into portraying his characters. Like I have never seen a onscreen death look so realistic as his. Bruh his eyes/pupils were literally fixed.

The moment he returned out of Guixu and told Tan’er that no one would harm her then immediately went to fight the void walkers….as the scenes went on I was witnessing the lights leaving his eyes. When he was finally able to let his guard down after defeating them the way he spat blood then fell…like it was way too natural, it was in a way where it conveyed he much his body until it gave out on him.

I really think he portrayed being the Empyrean exceptionally well. The aura, his stand, the way he walks and even the way he says some words were just domineering.

Don’t get me started on the fight scenes. The choreographer really did them a big one. The ost was on point, the acting was ethereal and majestic. The story and script was soo good and whether good or evil everyone went all out embodying the characters they’re playing. This show has proven to be time and time again why it’s important also efficiently write the stories of side characters, from Wu dai to Fei chi to Man Man and Di langjue. I don’t think the drama could’ve carried without them and their contribution supporting the leads

This was really good and I really love how she got to execute her revenge using the same method the Chancellor had used to kill her father. I kind of wish they gave us a wedding scene to wrap everything up though. Also the last few scenes with all survivors and family members of the victims was such a nice touch. The only thing about this I didn't like was how she favored some criminals over others. I understand she has a heart and sympathy should be given but I believe that justice should be blind. It should be objective and impartial. But hear me out, I'm gonna sound so contradicting here lol.....I think sometimes you need to take matters into your own hands, the law isn't able to bring certain people to justice unless you bend it. So though I believe judging should be impartial I understand people who takes matter into their own hands too.

Opinions should be objectives however your comparison shows bias. How are you going to compare two different shows under two different genres? If you enjoy How dare you then speak on in MDL has a page dedicated to it. Why come here talking about a romance fantasy and how better it was? What’s the correlation? You’re so so weird. If you made an objective critique base on what happens in the show and why you didn’t like it then I wouldn’t leave my reply to you. Mind you I have dropped this show twice already and have already left like two or three comments critiquing what I don’t like about it and none of my comments had anything to do with specific actors/actress btw……I’m saying you need to be objective in your criticism/critique. It’s understandable to not enjoy the show but making an unreasonable comparison makes zero sense

How dare you was 10x better, i dropped this at episode 23 i feel like its being dragged on…like who is the villain/mastermind…
What a good thing How dare you and Unveil: Jadewind are two different genre focus on two separate things. This is literally mystery thriller....How dare you is Romantic comedy....Why are you looking for the same feel here? If you're unable to follow along with the case and solve them together, if being kept guessing isn't your thing then obviously you were watching the wrong show. The bases of the show is to solve case, that's very very obvious from the very first episode and if you couldn't catch on then you should've notice at the third case. FL family massacre is just the typical protagonist life backstory every show have, hers just seem to fall withing her scope of work. Of course it's objectively NOT the best show but your comparison literally do not make any sense. you're just talking shii for no reason.

Also, she did unauthorized autopsies in a very cruel manner! She could have asked FL, taken permission from her…
I really think her heart was in the right place however she was terribly misguided and suffer from a complex. It stopped being about her being a woman and more so about her thinking she’s above and better than everybody else at what she does. That coupled with the brother constant acts of “kindness” really made her more twisted. Though she knew and felt in herself it was wrong she just didn’t and couldn’t stop him until it went too far. There was nobody else standing in her part but the person identity she’s now using ultimately The real Pei Yu ended up turning into the last and final obstacle standing in Ying’s way which cause him to eliminate himself to once again have Ying make a break through. Great doctor but her mind was twisted real bad.

First it was her wanting to willingly cover up for the princess...Now it's them granting Pei Yu/Ying special pardon. Very partial and misguided. They're victims as much as they're sinners. You can acknowledge the fact the world as wrong them but still have them rightfully punished.

Pei Yu knowing her foster brother has gone on a rampant serial killing but didn't report him? you're a physician for God sakes... you knew he wouldn't stop killing until there was no one to stand in your way and you knew he would stop and start again had any more obstacles arise. Watching your Best friend losing himself to make sure you're happy didn't drive you to insanity? I don't care what anybody say she should've never been pardon, she is very twisted. Pardoning her only gave her a easy way out to kill herself without real punishment. Yes she's a talent...Help honed other talents from jail. let them come see her there for advise!

The master did not deserve to die, he literally did nothing wrong more than try to protect her in his own way after she committed a capital offense. That specifically had nothing to do with her being a woman, it was a capital offense regardless since it was done unauthorize. Yeah Yeah she did it to find a cure I get that....still does not erase the fact it was a crime and all the Master wanted to do was have her run away before she was discovered.

After Xia Shi San killed him that's when she should've put a stop to it and report him but she didn't and he continue to kill. Several lives lost and even though they weren't innocent people they did not deserve to die.

Title The Glory
Don't make me laugh. I completely understand that the female lead had an extremely difficult childhood...I do and I completely agree with her wanted to seek revenge however at what point do we admit that she has long stop being a victim? She is very misguided and unnecessarily ruthless. Did she kill her foster parents? Yes Did they deserve it? Also yes but how is that a justifiable reason for her wanting to kill the lead investigator? Will she continue to kill everybody that goes against her are finds out about her misdeeds? This is a very twisted portrayal of heroism......She's vile and mentally unhinged and I really wish they would stop acting as if the world wronged her more than everybody else. Her hardship is acknowledged and she was indeed a victim in the beginning.

Having a assassin beside you who acts without orders to wipe out a whole family just to kill one person THEN regretting that they did that because your sister Kin so happen to be part of the family is just....To make matters worst you then told that assassin they did nothing wrong .....I mean that's definitely a choice...

I have so many opinions about this show but I fear I'll be burn at the stake.....I don't think it's bad or anything like that. They definitely should've ended it like the novel for one. 2. The short drama epidemic is truly exhausting and annoying to say the least.... 3. In all adaptations i truly hated how much the brush off the fact the emperor was sexually assaulted. Like we rarely have such occurrence in cinema media so i think they should've utilized this to bring awareness cause trust me some people still believe men can't be raped.

I could say a lot more here but as I said my opinions are always for the top % and I genuinely do not wanna go back and forth.

I'm so irritated....You are from the modern world....You know exactly what would happen if you were to have unprotected sex.....You have the knowledge nobody else does from ready the novel in completion.....You know the Emperor is a "tyrant". YET.....You had his brother slinging raw meat in you ON THE FLOOR.....IN HIS KINGDOM???????????....Babe don't cry now...you was enjoying yourself to climax and so was Prince Xiahou Bo.....You not a victim, you don't deserve pity or remorse......Why are you wailing and acting like a victim as if you didn't make the conscious decision of being the King's woman but laying with his brother. Of course you're gonna get pregnant; a example needs to be made out of you... They're many brainless people on earth, it baffles me why you've chosen to be their leader. hisses teeth. Get it together, you're either gonna use your knowledge and be evil or be a lovesick idiot, but atp you CANNOT be both; you look ridiculous!!!!!!!!!

I've finally completed this after two long weeks. surely enough y bias still stands. Maybe it's because I'm not…
Just done read the novel and I must say EEEYUUCKKK……she is 14 and he’s 22 and he constantly rapes her in the book……i understand the adaptation isn’t like this but I’m just disgusted and equally appalled not to mention disappointed at the fact they read the novel and decided that this is what they wanted to adapt…..mind you the novel was SPICY. I mean nudes and explicit sex scenes…. Just to put it into perspective this was a novel with lead characters where one is severely uderage and the other is a full grown adult.....14 and 22 and it was filled with more sex than military talk????????……as if I didn’t hate the show enough. This is literally Chenyi’s fault…. “If you don’t like the adaptation then you must like the original work” GIRL I DO NOT….tf🤮🤢

This wasn't bad but it was quite underwhelming to say the least. I just don't think the justice served as satisfying enough. I know that it was a one way street with ML always winning since he basically knew the plot, but I was kinda hoping they would've created a effect where some parts of the past life occurrences would be disrupted because of him having a head start to change everything. would've been way more intriguing since he wouldn't completely have an upper hand.. Still it was not bad. If we're being fair it went exactly as it should've except for the unsatisfying serve of justice to the high villains.

"Why does everyone hate the FL"..... Oh i don't know...maybe because she's a bully who never really apologized or felt any remorse towards the ML. She literally made that boys childhood a living hell and even almost blind him. but sure of course you cannot understand why people hate her.

I watched "To fly with you" and this at the same time when they first aired back in covid time and I remember dropping this at episode 22 halfway through the show cause of how hypocritical and unfair the writing was towards the ML. Like the writing imbalance was just crazy. This boy spent objectively 6-10 years being bullied, never got a REAL GENUINE apology; he wasn't only scarred emotional but physically too but somehow it's his fault? sure. She's not a bully towards other people and suddenly that invalidate everything ML went through. It's like it never even happen. Wild.

This isn't a love story, it's very possible ML suffers from Stockholm syndrome cause After a while even he was convince she's a good person....She's not!

In my opinion anyone can take on the lead roles of this drama. And i mean ANYONE WHO CAN ACT. Casting should not be done on popularity, beauty or Money. A great actor is able to embody their character regardless of how different it is from their in-real-life self. If you're expecting certain actors to constantly be playing certain roles without range that will only stunt their growth. They will not grow as actors and actress cause they keep giving the same performances. This will only hurt your faves in the long run, cause I promise ya'll things and time will change and sooner rather than later these these production team will stop relying solely on who have more popularity to make a drama gain traction and go back to their roots of casting only talents.

I have not read the novel yet but base on the comments, the FL character seems to be difficult to portray.....And this is why I believe the role shouldn't be given to anybody specifically base on just public opinions and popularity alone. The casting should be done base on who can provide the best portrayal of the character, even of this is a promising new actress or a season one.

They're gonna continue with this popularity casting nonsense until we keep seeing the same 10 actors and actresses on our screen and non of them will be able to act. JUST SERVING FACE AND NONSENSE ACTING. If they keep going like this it'll be snooze festivals all year round.

They better pick Esther Yu, she fit to the role.Esther Yu is the queen of cdrama and Chinese Entertainment, so…
Reading through the comments and this the worst take yet. YOU KNOW THAT GURL CANNOT ACT!!! she literally keeps getting casted cause she's a nepo baby on top of being pretty. and more power to her for that but I mean an actress job is to act and she clearly cannot do that. Outside of beauty, money and popularity she has no talent for acting.

Furthermore calling Meng Ziyi ugly? that's definitely a choice.....Please be reminded that you're to be watching shows/movies for storyline/plotline and great acting instead of doing so purely to support your favorite actors....

I've finally completed this after two long weeks. surely enough y bias still stands. Maybe it's because I'm not the forgiving type? I did like the generals relationships/brotherhood as well as the advisors. The kiss scenes were excellent too but as for the unbalance in the story, I just couldn't get pass that bit.

My friends keep forcing me to rewatch this cause I’m missing out and I just wanna cry cause why am I being force. Bruh I can’t get past the first half cause I’m an empath bro. My issue with this show is how unfair it is to the male lead. His whole family was massacred before him and they continuously wrote the female lead to win over him. They gave him no grace at all. This is to me enemies to lovers yet given everything FL family put ML family through he was given no grace to take revenge or vent. I 100% understand the grandfather also had a family to protect however fair is fair; his family lives peacefully and under the protection of Wei Clan for years yet when it came for them to repay that debt they backed out. Even if they didn’t have that many soldiers they could’ve spared resources or sent minimal support with basic explanations atleast. They probably would’ve still been enemies however the bad blood wouldn’t have ran this deep. Everybody in the Wei Clan have all right to vent their anger on FL not because her herself is guilty but because she’s not remorseful her or Neither is her family. I still don’t think they think they’ve done anything wrong enough for years worth of hate however for Wei Shao because of that one choice he lost his father and brothers as well as soldiers. Funnily enough when she needed her cousins husband help and she refuse, she was sliding down a wall saying Da Qiaois only choosing to protect Bi zhi out of selfishness yet when Wei Clan was on the short receiving end needed dire help somehow they were the selfish ones for wanting peaceful Yanzhou to join a battle that seemingly had nothing to do with them. But that one act of selfishness led to children loosing their father, mothers lost their children, wife’s lost their husband. They could’ve helped yet they chose to because they decided to be cowardly due to the unpredictable outcome. With the two Clans joining hands they would’ve had a fighting chance, this is even if they didn’t send their strongest warriors by the way. They just didn’t want to lose anything at all. They gave Wei water and in return Wei gave them infinite protection for years and the one time Wei needed them more than they needed Wei they gave up on extending help.

Here’s another thing….when they were at the stake of being infiltrated what did they do? Ship off a young girl for peace treaty so they wouldn’t be captured. Once again living peacefully at the expense of somebody’s else demise/unhappiness. I think they’re shameless for this and it’s Very unfair imo towards the female lead.

Anyways last time I watched up to episode 14. Last month it was up to episode two and now??? For the last four days I have been watching episode 1. Chenyi if you’re reading this please release me. I really do hate the plot of this show. Ask me to review something else. This is so unfair to me😭😭😭. You have been making me suffer😩
