I read this article thinking it would be a different thing... like age differences in the drama characters and…

Waw, really totally a different perspective, I hadn't watch any HK drama so I wouldn't know, and the only mandarin-speaking drama I had watched were Taiwanese, therefore I had no idea, What truly caught my attention is how they're opened about it and had stated their reasons for it :)
to be honest, when I saw a picture of the Chinese version of BBF I did felt that the guys looked unbelievably young, they made the girl look so much older, I'm not sure if it was only that photo or they really were that way.

I am a LMH fan as well, and as put in the article, there was age differences I accepted and others that I didn't,it depends on how well it was played, and PT didn't work for me, but it worked for you :)
I haven't seen any of your examples, but generally speaking I don't care about age difference if the couple have…

What I think kinda warmed up the fans heart was that they kinda show some daring kisses, and took the romantic level a little higher than the standards of the kdrama,
it totally didn't work for me unfortunately, it kinda made me feel worse :(
it was like: STAY AWAY FROM YOUR AUNT, KID :@" :P
