Great introduction to the characters layered with fluff

Surprisingly good start for a webtoon that seem hard to bring on screen. Female lead turning into a dog may work on paper, but making a drama out of it is not a hard job, yet the production team made it happen. Yes, it's quite obvious when the dog is CGI and when the dog is real, but with hot the directing has this over the top feel to it, it did not bother me at all. Overall, it seems like a really fun and light romantic comedy that will be a great pacemaker for more thriller and action dramas currently airing.

Episode 4 made me worry that maybe 14 episode is too long or that they did not quite think the pacing through. I honestly think that with plot as silly as this, the drama should be more dynamic in presentation, but in episode 4 I feel like maybe 30 minutes were of a true value. Sure, the interactions between the mains are adorable, but I feel like there are not enough of these. It also bothers me how little Lee Bo Gyeom we've got. I feel like his presence should be felt and obvious, but instead we just get reminded he exists every now and then...

The goofy side is the best side.

Quite a nice follow up after opening episodes. Full of cute and fun interaction between different characters, sprinkled with a dose of mystery and a big spoon of romance. Glad we are getting different characters' perspective and the mystery around Lee Bo Gyeom gets more focus. I can imagine how this would be probably the most interesting aspect of the plot for people who have not read the webtoon. Loved how silly the comedy was, and the different ways Hae Na tried to help Seo Won was simply adorable.

This episode does a good job with establishing why Chan gets so interested in Yeol so fast. He is the helpful good soul making sure everyone has what they need and helping solve the problems. So here comes a guy who gives him compliments and asks if he is alright: things that so far he did for others. The chemistry is great. Yeol is obviously lost and has no idea how to act in this new environment, but I appreciate how he is not a "cold male lead" type of a deal. He's just adjusting.

Solid continuation after episode 1. The motives of the characters start to be more clear, so does the context and their history. There is still a lot of mystery, but I appreciate how they drop information and hints from the start, instead of keeping viewers in a complete darkness till the end. I adore Yoon Park's character and I love his dynamics with Ro Um. Hope they will become buddies. They have such a strong best friends potential. Curious how will they deal with FL antisocial tendencies. I'm fine with what ML said at the end of the episode, but I'm worried how they will manage to execute it in a realistic manner. For the directing, they did a better job with the transition between fun con and serious drama tones. Breaking of 4th wall is still annoying.

"But now, even expressing like seems overwhelming"

The presentation of the building curiosity after someone catches your attention, and then you start seeing and meeting them in random places. The accidental meetings made my heart flutter, maybe because the presentation is truly realistic - nothing exaggerated. When both of the characters start to be more and more aware of the fact they keep crossing paths, it's hard not to get curious where is will lead. I could not stop smiling even for a second. I loved everything about this episode. Probably my favorite piece of media (directing wise) I have seem this year. Perfection till the literally last scene.

Not gonna lie, this episode made me angry, especially "How can you be that selfish?" line. It made me feel pissed off, but in a good way - that was a deliberate choice of topic and presentation to evoke these emotions. XXI century, 2023, and yet the pressure women face to have kids for the benefit of others is still there. That said, the episode tackles a broader topic of glorification of your own generation and vilification of the other generations. Disregarding someone else's struggles, while exaggerating the issues you had to face in the past. As if pain and hardships can be truly objectively evaluated and compared. The ending at first made me feel a bit uncomfortable, but after thinking about it - it was the correct direction. At the end of the day: do we want to fight who is the biggest asshole with the strongest opinion, or do we want to put aside our differences and focus on helping each other. Someone has to make the first positive step. Instead of thinking: why it has to be me?, we should consider: why can't it be me?

There are scenes I am obsessed with, and some that I just strongly want to skip coz they don't grab my attention. Overall, I am for sure more interested in the past story - maybe because it's more stylistically coherent, while the present plot is mix of so many themes, genres and elements, it's hard to understand what the drama is trying to be.

The viewing experience fluctuated a lot during that first episode. They opened with an awesome bloody fighting scene, historical setting, hints of angsty love, betrayal, revenge - all the good stuff. Then we've got the the present time with good introduction to an interesting and likeable female lead. But the moment they introduced the present version of the male lead I was honestly disappointed and wanted to go back to historical setting right away. Luckily the ending got me hyped again, ending the episode of the high note and a lot of potential. I'm not sure how I feel about the opening sequence, but the first few scenes that set up the plot and the context for the historical part - it was so... chaotic. I get that they don't want to reveal all the story, but they either showed too much or too little. You can get the idea of what happened so there is no true anticipation and questions left, but at the same time, they skipped through all the scenes and important moments in a matter of 1 minute - it's like getting a whole picture, but drawn in a shitty way.

I'm quite impressed with it so far. They are doing amazing job with keeping the balance between the supernatural mystery and the exploration of the characters' personal stories and backgrounds. Giving right amount of the information at the right time. The way they are building up the story gets me curious - what is the connection between the shadows? What are the shadows truly? But at the same time, I am anticipating the character development from Nai and the forming friendship (and maybe even more) between him and Dan. What's more? The show is visually BEAUTIFUL!

Solid introduction to the supernatural elements and the mystery. I am genuinely curious what the shadow is and what it wants. I think they did a good job with setting up the tone - heavy, but not too heavy, good breaks with some background characters that act like teens with their silly behaviors. What's more, I like the hints of the social commentary that might happen. Obviously, they will dive into some "good old" homophobia, but with how utopian a lot of Thai BLs are, this is actually refreshing and needed.

I am so done with the 4th wall breaking. It's just so poorly done in terms of blending it into the story and the scenes. Especially since she always explains extremely basic things so these small monologues towards viewers are pointless and bring nothing of value.I also have a bit of an issue with Han Moo Young's presentation. For someone with such a high level of empathy he truly does not give a flying fuck about his co-workers and how his actions might affect the whole firm 🤡I think it would be far more interesting if they actually showed how conflicted he is, because his goals are at times contradicting and whatever he does, someone might get hurt.As the story progresses, I dislike all the characters more and more. Why is everyone so unlikable😅

Episode 5 is when we finally strat to get some answers, sadly the plot so far goes into predictable territories. That said, there is still hope that it's all a set up to confuse the audience, and later deliver some interesting plot twists. Without it, it's a fun, but not exactly unique or groundbreaking story. What's more, the deeper into the tragic past we get, and the more we understand the characters, the less fitting the breaking 4th wall scene becomes. They just change the tone of the episode completely, and sometimes it feels too sudden. They are also rather unnecessary - the same level of storytelling can be achieved without them. At the end of the day, I feel like this will be a drama I watch for the dynamics between the characters and not the plot itself.

Decent opening episode. The quality got a lot better the moment they moved the setting to the countryside - from editing up to acting from side characters. We've got a proper explanation on who Sun Yeol is and why he decided to "escape" from his current situation. The chemistry by the end of the episode was great and I cannot wait to see more of the bickering between the leads.

When the scammer gets scammed...

and the good guy is not top. There is one thing this show for sure does really well - present a highly empathic person as a strong, smart and collected one, instead of emotional mess who cannot handle any situation. I truly appreciate this representation. Han Moo Young for me is the most interesting character - someone who knows their flaw and how it might affect their live, really self-aware and honest. While Lee Ro Um is fun to watch, I'm wary and not fully convinced. I'm not sure what she is supposed to be and I'm scared we will get yet another "psychopath, but not really, because they can be cured" deal. Plot wise we still explored the context and the set up, and the true main story will only start from episode 5. The short cases they dealt with so far were rather simplistic, but they did what they were supposed to do - showcase the characters personalities, ways of dealing with issues and morals. Now they will start the power struggle - who will lead and whose idea of justice will be the one they will strive to achieve.
