Your reviews are always informative and beautifully written. You have a gift!
I almost added after the final quote, โ All I asked you to do was take out the trash.โ ๐
It did have some draggy moments. My red editing pen was getting itchy. ๐
Sometimes the ahjumma has to come out and speak.
I loved these two characters, especially that she had growth in a revenge drama without losing herself in the process. And who wouldnโt love a secretly nerdy Satoh! ๐ค๐๐ฅ
(And thank you for the Jin gift! ๐ )
It had a nice story to it but the execution was deeply flawed.

Beware, there is another site on YT that has this film and it was badly "colored" with pinks, greens, and blues. It also has no English subtitles if you need them, only Japanese.
Iโm not sure what people were expecting. I thought the ending stayed true to S1 and their world building. This is not a genre Iโm a big fan of though Iโve seen movies going back to the 80โs with similar tropes.
Noem has pitched the idea of having immigrants compete in a reality show for citizenship. I hope she hasnโt watched Squid Games, she doesnโt need any more inhumane ideas.
and also on the Criterion Channel (subscription)
I thought without the cliffhangers S1 was complete. S3โs ending didnโt really add anything to it.
You would need to watch S2 to understand the new players that continued into S3. There was also something that occurred that had ramifications in S3.
With everything going on the VIPs hit closer to home this time. ๐
