The movie/drama/documentary is heavy from start to finish? No silver lining? I read your review but I want to…
You are welcome! I hope you enjoy it.

It’s not darkly depressing, just very matter of fact about these kids whose parents live elsewhere to work. From Yun Jie’s perspective, I’d say it had a happy ending.

Review Dear Hongrang
Although I'd throw the mad prince and his devilish habits into the inherently bad category.
Interesting. Too much inbreeding? The vast difference in the haves and have nots would seem to create an atmosphere for perverse attitudes for those the nobility didn’t consider human.

Now this is a drama that gives the reminder yet again of why we ought to look at ALL humans for what they are;…

"I cried so many tears for those children back then." and again while reading, like it was yesterday. Thank you…
I cried all over again watching this. And I'm not a crier. I was saddened to hear about Phrom, poor baby. Something like that and the aftermath must have been a terrible burden to carry. 😔

Exactly! I've seen age gaps works in dramas and real life. This relationship felt empty and with a bit of discomfit…
And they would have had a “motherly” housekeeper to take care of them. Win-win-win! 😄

I appreciate you also included the spoiler at the end.
Very sad how many people in the real rescue and the dramatic one died. 😔

I am old enough to remember all this, and decided not to watch this drama. It would be too hard for me, as I have…
Thank you, my friend. 💕 🌸💕

It's taken me three years to work up the courage to watch this. I cried so many tears for those children back then. I'm claustrophobic, too, and had to fast forward through a few of the underwater diving scenes. We have a friend who is a rescue diver who nearly lost his life in dark murky water, it's truly a dangerous milieu to work in.

thank you you've identified exactly the problem with their relationship I totally agree. It was more of a codependent…
Exactly! I've seen age gaps works in dramas and real life. This relationship felt empty and with a bit of discomfit as well. In the special episode he treated her more like a child who needs to use the hamper. Japanese dramas are rarely squeamish, but they never showed them being tactile or loving maybe because he did look so much older, which didn't help their cause of selling a romantic relationship.

Review Samurai Wolf
Reminiscent of Kurosawa’s Yojimbo - oh, I’ll def have to check this out when I'm in the mood for samurai films!
I thought it was fun. Not Kurosawa and Mifune but still pretty good for 1966.
