My first time reading the name of this channel, I went to check it out and THANK YOU so much for mentioning it.
It’s a subscription site but they have a lot of classic Asian films. I was going to just keep it for a few months but kept finding more movies to watch. They have everything from Kung Fu and Kaiju to silent films to classic Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, & Chinese films. I’ve also watched short films on it. I only use legal sites and have found movies that weren’t available elsewhere. It’s worth checking out even for a month or the trial period.

So much is CGI and camera work/editing now. Anyone can look like a kung fu master. I read one time that Sammo wasn't afraid to connect with his fists and kicks during fight scenes. A terrifying proposition for his opponents I'm sure. 😄
With the exception of a few actors in this movie, the majority did their own stunts. They certainly didn't have the safety standards required today. I think about Michelle Yeoh falling off that car in Police Story or jumping off the bridge and hurting her back. 🫣
Most Jackie Cheung flicks from that era was just a shoddy excuse for fight scenes.🤣🤣🤣

Made for interesting side chatter. After literally hundreds of times, he was once rapelling out of a helicopter and the line slipped out of his hand. The newbie below wasn't paying attention who was supposed to belay him. Only through sheer strength and luck did he stop his free fall. He also had to tackle a newbie who wasn't paying attention and was walking behind the helicopter where the rotor blades were spinning. Kid would have been chopped up. 🤦♀️

Chang Cheh always went through Buckets O’ Blood. Everything was so fake that it was usually funnier than it was gory. This one was particularly spewy.
