Thanks so much for this making this list so that people can get to see this brilliant actor for themselves. I've seen most of these and actually own Red Cliff (my most favourite movie of all time). Have you seen him in This Is Not What I Expected? It' s a hilariously funny movie and yet very cute and quite poignant in places too. The chemistry between Takashi and his female lead, Zhou Dong YU, is perfect.....I really can't recommend it enough! :D
Yes. It is also THE most annoying ending I've seen. park Hae Jin is brilliant as always - however, the ending will make you crazy......you will cry, but you will also rage at writers who are SO sadistic. You will find this raging frustration in MANY reviews. Lol! But it is a good film apart from the ending. ;)
I had to use google translate so I'm not sure how accurate this is but the summary is: "Actor Liu Rui Qiao plays…
Fruity-Style -- thanks for taking the trouble. It was good of you to bother to go to all that trouble. It sounds pretty good, so I'll definitely watch it. :) Thanks again.
You are right! Agent K was an excellent character!!!! He was really the selling point of Man to Man for me. I…
I've actually been reading it - it's pretty good, but it's still ongoing for now. :) I do get what you mean though there's been many webtoons I've tried to get into and not been able to, not sure why - they've been good, just not my thing.
Does anyone know if the series has a happy or sad ending? Dramanice has split the 56 episodes into 'seasons' and I think we've still got one to go - I'm not going to watch anymore if it has sad final ending, I'm so tired of crying my eyes out....why can't China have historical dramas with HAPPY endings? These are as bad as their BL stories!
Rouzmary -- I watched seasons 1-3 (they split the 56 episodes into blocks) on Dramanice (though for some reason it's called the Legend of Heavenly Tea on there! It's also raw).

Agreed about Man to Man - there was definitely more they could've done to round out the story and told us more about the interaction between the three main characters. But his character was the best of the three - and, to be really honest, the main reason I watched it. They could've made it about Agent K alone and I would've preferred it.
I do have concerns about the 2018 Cheese in the Trap, but so long as they end it like the manga and not the open end of the series, I can live with it....... lol!
I'll always be a loyal fan of the orig series with Yun Eun Hye and Gong Yoo...but seeing the female lead in this…
Me too - I doubt any could better it to be honest. But, like with the Full House and Itazura Na Kiss franchises, I love the story enough to watch each incarnation or reboot. ☺
Agreed - happy endings are reasonably rare in Cdramas, writers seem to think a tragic end is more 'noble' or 'honourable'. I also really enjoyed the battle and fight scenes as I genuinely love warfare dramas, especially those that don't rely on modern day armaments.
Brilliant article and well put together - I agree with them all, but my personal three favourites are 1. Man to Man; 2. Bad Guys and last but not least 3. Cheese in the Trap. I don't know why but I liked those characters of his the most; they're certainly the only ones of his dramas I've rewatched a lot based only on his performance. For me the opening segment of episode 1 of Man to Man where he does the 'Smiley Eyes' to the little girl, just stole my heart.
I'm also really looking forward to Four Men - so far the only actor I've ever seen truly pull off multiple character roles (though as part of the drama in his case) was Ji Sung in Kill Me, Heal Me. But I'm pretty sure Park Hae Jin will break that record with Four Men. ☺
Can I please point out something - when a person is ADOPTED or a STEP sibling it means there is NO blood relation between them; literally NONE. Therefore romantic relationships between these groups are NOT 'incestuous', 'sick', 'perverted', or any of the other myriad of nasty names I'm constantly seeing being used with these dramas.
Let's not forget that the world over even first cousins are allowed to marry - and they ARE blood relations and yet no one bats an eye. It's not like they don't know they're not related, so it's NOT incest. Thank you, I will now step away from my soapbox. ☺
I wouldn't expect to see this any time soon, if ever - China's new, and MUCH stricter, set of decency laws means that LGBT+ projects are now effectively banned. The ONLY way for Chinese LGBT+ projects to get ahead is for the film/drama making community to move to Taiwan or Thailand which are MUCH more progressive countries. When a regime is even banning actors and idols with tattoos from performing then you know it's a slippery slope.....
