The only thing I was unsatisfied about the ending was that they didn't show the epilogue of So Bong and NS3 living happily ever after. Not enough fan service!! I wanna watch them being sweet tgt and decorating their newlywed home or sth. Bring on the special episode!! I wanna see the marriage of the century <3
i think it can either be interpreted as if david gave him this additional function or he was in a way of becoming…
I so agree with the own imagination part. People have been asking a lot of questions like what about M city, the grandpa, NS's future, Tin Can couple's future, etc. To me not everything needs to be explained. These are all up to the viewer's imagination, and some things are no longer important after the main arc ends like how grandpa will be treating his dementia, or how PK group will continue to operate. The main arc has been resolved and everything else is just open ending.
After reading all the criticism about the ending, I still think the ending made perfect sense. First of all, NS3's memories weren't erased because the kill switch did not activate due to him having removed his watch. He only broke down from sinking into the ocean. Secondly, NS redeemed himself from his mother's death and NS3's sacrifice. It was the best way to wake him in a short time and realize who his true enemy was. Thirdly, a "one year later" plot device is very common in kdrama land, and most of them don't make sense because it could easily become a plot hole, but this one did. They miraculously found him in a vast ocean, this seems impossible but then it takes a miracle for a good ending like any other drama out there. Maybe he did many good things and god or a deity decided to save him. Maybe good guys deserve a little luck sometimes. And David repairing him. We can't really argue why David was able to repair him, cuz ya know, you could also say it was impossible for such a human-like android to appear in 21st century. But this is fantasy and fiction so there are things to be taken as basic assumptions of the story. If they have the tech to make such a robot, then likely they also have the tech to repair him. And no, NS and NS3 merging is not a better way to end the story. It defeats the purpose of self-actualization that's the central theme. Finally, if someone still thinks NS3 and So Bong can't be tgt, then I guess this drama just isn't for you. Oh and the mom, people say she shouldn't have died cuz a few gallons of oil won't destroy NS3 so she shouldn't have sacrificed herself to save him. Well she's a mom, and she loves her sons. A person who loves someone, won't go and calculate "hey can he take the fall? If he can, then I'll just let it happen" not to mention it was a split second. She acted without thinking and it was out of love.
but the kill switch was in his whole body, i dont think it has to do with the watch because if so, david would…
In one of the previous episodes, So Bong removed his watch to bargain with the mom because the kill switch doesn't work without it. David also helped back then so they are all aware of this method. I think David didn't tell him to remove his watch because he asked him to come over directly to have the kill switch removed, but he ended up going to save NS.
I saw on some other sites people were complaining that the ending made no sense. I personally really liked the ending though, I couldn't think of any other way to wrap everything up in a better way tbh. I was glad they didn't merge both NS and NS3 into one person like some suggested cuz that would totally destroy the show and its message for me. The kill switch didn't work cuz he took off his watch. That has all along been the fastest way to prevent the kill switch from working, but then he wouldn't be able to do everything he had to do at the moment so he could only do so at the very end, and it ended up saving him. To me the ending made perfect sense.
I don't remember where I saw it and how credible it was. It was months ago before this drama started airing. Up to now the ending I saw is still possible but I don't want it to happen cuz I want a good ending for everyone. Well the ending I saw was a semi-good ending open ending though so maybe I'm asking for too much.
i dislike this drama. it's just not enjoyable at all for me :/ i only like namshin3's character (because he's…
Tbh I agree that the plot doesn't make sense sometimes, but NS3 and So Bong's relationship is one of the best I've ever seen in a kdrama. I'm a person who focuses more on character relationships than anything else so this drama totally did it for me. On the other hand WWWSK bored me and that's why I started this one.
If they follow the original's ending I won't watch it. Cried way too much lol. Guess I'll have to wait till it ends before I start watching to see how it goes.
Honestly I wish the OTP had more intimacy lol I know NS3 doesn't have desires, but I really enjoy seeing them being cute together. Too bad they're not fulfilling this wish for me :(
But this time it has a timer counting down 12 hours. That sucks!!
