Still loving it.

I can't breathe. I love it. I love it. I love it. I loveeeee it.

It's weird after Bridal Mask this is the first drama I'm actually watching because of the plot. But the actors are truly amazing.

I love the characters because they're not playing dumb. They're straight-forward and clever. Learned from there mistakes. Not hung up in the past anymore.

I think the thing that I like is the revenge part. I can't wait when they start taking there revenge. :D

NEXT EPISODE... COME TO ME.

Freaking awesome.

I don't know why you'd give it lower than an 9. I mean I loved the cast, the characters, the plot.

Well, I guess it was a different experience for everybody else.

The guy's so head over heels for her. WAAY HEAD OVER HEELS.

I love this. I just love this so much.

I-WANT-A-DRAMA-MARATHON.

Iljimae Episode 20

Thoughts on the ending.

I was going to write out all my thoughts on the ending of Iljimae, but then life intervened. Anyway, I sit here with sore muscles to give you my take on what happened and why ? disclaimer to tell you that you may not agree with or like what I say, but I am basing it on what happened.

In short, Iljimae is alive; Eun Chae just returned from exile in Jeju with her dad; Bong Soon is wandering around the country; Dani and Kyum?s mother are raising Ketong together with Yong visiting every now and then; the rest of the neighbourhood, which includes Eun Chae?s servant, helps when they can ? but Iljimae goes deep underground to avoid getting people he cares about into trouble; Shi Hoo teaches kids martial arts and is happy; Daeshi found his dad. Also, the king is crazy.

When we come to the end, Iljimae is starting up his stealing again.

It?s too bad they didn?t have enough time to film the ending fully ? according to the PD, they were filming the last episode on the day it was airing, and had no choice but to supplement the end with scenes from episode one. Aww.

First, who is Ketong?

Well, easiest question first. Ketong is the child of Dani and Swe Dol (R.I.P.). Remember when Swe Dol nearly named Yong ?Ketong? instead? Dani glared him down. In her beloved husband?s memory, she gives her child a name he?d chosen for another son that he gave his life for. He says he?s five because the Koreans count age starting from 1, not 0. He?s missing a front teeth not because the writers didn?t take science in high school, but because he?s probably old enough to be losing baby teeth now.

How do we know Yong is at least visiting his two mommies?

One word: Ketong. Honestly, this kid gives it away in so many ways. Living with two women, I think it would be very hard for a four-year-old to develop such outrageous mannerisms unless he had someone he admired to copy from. When Bong Soon mentioned ?Yong?, he showed that he was familiar with someone named Yong, which might just have been his mothers telling him about his older brother. However, that doesn?t account for his slip with the random bystander at Daeshi?s performance troupe ? he actually says he couldn?t memorize his version of what happened to Iljimae, but why would he need to, unless he?s covering up for Yong, in collusion with the adults? Also, his more accurate knowledge of Iljimae?s activities (to the annoyance of the shoemaker?s dad) indicates that someone?s been showing off his exploits.

By extension, Shim Deok, Daeshi, the shoemaker, Eun Chae?s servant, the mafia dude, Eun Chae?s servant?s dad all know Yong?s alive. (Awkward moments give them away.) They actually knew who the real Iljimae was, so if something happened to him, they would know the truth too. The only reason they would spread such outrageous rumours would be if they knew they were lying. And the only reason that fits would be Yong?s desire to make sure people around him weren?t being hurt for knowing who he is.

Who are the shoes for?

According to the director/producer, one pair is for Kunghe, and another pair is for Iljimae. So we know our dude is probably living on the island with Kunghe, with the blessing of Shim Deok (except when the gisaeng, Myeong something, comes over). The shoes aren?t for Bong Soon, unfortunately, because if you noticed, Kunghe has a pair that are exactly like the ones the shoemaker delivered this time but Bong Soon has shoes made of straw, customary of travelers at that time.

Which leads us to the topic of Bong Soon? what happened to her?

From her clothes, she?s dressed as a boy, and a traveler, by her shoes. She was probably unable to resolve her issues with Kunghe in the end and opted for wandering around and not seeing him. Remember when she was about to stab Kunghe? She apologized that she would not be able to go with Yong to wherever he was going to take her. I?m guessing she knew she couldn?t stay near Kunghe and gave Yong up too, especially as he was in love with someone else. I feel so bad. Where is our cheerful happy girl?

Dani?s expression upon meeting her suggest that they haven?t seen each other in a while. Furthermore, Dani?s really odd expression indicates that Bong Soon probably doesn?t know Yong is alive. Sadly, she isn?t reconciled with Kunghe either, or they would have shown that, or at least given hints.

Why does Shi Hoo say that not giving up the proof would protect those his brother wants to protect?

Probably Shi Hoo has as much faith in his government as I do in mine, and knows that handing over the proof will mean his death and everyone else?s, if not at the crazy king?s hand, then at the hand of some unscrupulous noble. Thus, having it keeps him safe, and it gives Yong the freedom to keep being Iljimae. (Imagine the most optimistic outcome, where he?s recognized as a noble, how much trouble he would have being Iljimae. Besides, we know his father?s name isn?t cleared because the king is nervous over not having kept his promise.)

Does Eun Chae know who Iljimae is?

Yes. Even as Yong. Why? Besides the whole thing in 19 when she sensed something about Yong, when her servant mentions her husband?s first love, Eun Chae is reminded of her own first love, and she doesn?t ask about Iljimae, she asks about ?that child?, who is Yong. When her servant is slow to come up with a response, Eun Chae shows signs of worry. Later, she goes to the tree and recalls Kyum in the same time as she does Yong. I?d say that?s enough proof for us. Unfortunately, I think at this point Eun Chae believes Iljimae is dead, though with his latest raid on the palace, she won?t think that for long.

Finally, the big question, is Iljimae alive?

YES YES YES!

Besides the PD saying that Iljimae was slashed by his own sword and fell down due to the force of the blow, and that Kunghe?s order has a pair of shoes for him, the beginning and end quite obviously show he is alive. Just as Hong Gil Dong unequivocally indicated their main characters? deaths, Iljimae shows him in action once more.

This is getting interesting.

Seriously. Whenever I hear 'Sato'. I'm like Sato Hiroshi. (Bridal Mask) lol.

Well, I should've kinda guessed when Sato said that Arang and his Mother's death was related that it could've been the Mother who killed her in the first place... But why..? Still don't know.

Why would she need to revive her beauty? She doesn't seemed to be obsessed with living a long life or beauty. It's more like revenge towards one person. Who is that person? Is it Lord Kim? (Sato's Father?) - Who knows. But then how would we relate that to killing "pure souls"? Pretty confused right now and curious.

Damn I hate cliff-hangers.

Can't wait for the next episode.

The only thing that makes me watch the next episode - THE ENDING.

The guy who dressed up at Bridal Mask. He was the guy from Angel Club who just quit. So obvious.

Gatsikal was never fat. If you look closely, he looked so much like him. I don't even know his name. Why would he quit for no reason huh?

Finally, getting some romance. (not that i wanted it, but it means more support for Kang To)

Waiting for the president to come so Kang To can figure somethings out and get his revenge. Shunji and that witch can actually be a good pair. Their chemistry is kinda good. I don't know if many people will agree.

Shunji still has this 'soft side' if i'm not wrong. If he doesn't have any ambition of conquering the Pacific or what ever, he'll be back to normal. (We can get to know that in the next episode, the after affects of Gatsikal blew himself up) If he's so naive.

Well, that we'll know in the next episode.

Can't wait.

Assaaa!

Perfect. Waaanjum boshta.

Everything was amazing. Loved the ending (typical of Bridal Mask)

Kang To just got some back-up. And Shunji's got his own.

Who's going to win Joeson or the Jap Bastards?

We've got a long way to go. 28 episodes. Let's see how many twists and turns and surprises are awaiting. =D

Running to the end.. Finally? :D

I don't want this to end. >.<

We've got the secretary now. And probably this is the best thing that ever happened to the Cyber Investigation Unit 1 in this whole drama. Let's GO Woo Hyun. Let's Go kill all these bastards. =D

Can't wait for the next five episodes. Just awesome. Simply amazing.

I don't know why the ratings are so low. I mean DUDE. I guess there's no romance but there's So Ji Sub and a mystery to solve. Who doesn't love a good mystery?!

I LOVE THIS WOMAN! - Lee Kang To to Shunji. *Blushes - Mok Dan* xD

If Kang To was revealed to be Gatsikal with enough proof. It would be the last few episodes. Nice twist I must say, I wasn't expecting the whole "I LOVE THIS WOMAN" confession. And in front of Shunji. Aah. He had some guts. We might just be seeing some romance blooming in the next few episodes (for all the romance lovers) with a jealous woman hanging around (typical)

Of course when the stupid Olympics go away.

OH-MY-GOD. O_O

I'm so gonna write this because I can't stop thinking about how AWESOME this was... The best episode so far.

Best Part: The ending left me in a daze, I know I'm getting to the ending after jumping everything. But. Yo. Shunji's going to kill Lee Tang Ko for sure.. I never wanted Shunji to be the first to figure it out. >.<

Even though I think the word's weren't clear, he could convince him. But the suspicion is too high.

I hope Shunji dies... Sorry Shunji. But you're not the Shunji I knew. You're just a Japanese something -- What ever Mok Dan said to him.

I can't wait for the next episode now.

Action: The hot sword guy, You know the guy with the wicked woman from the west. :P

Japanese singer, or what ever. (I like her so much). =D

Not her character of course. FINALLY he and Kang To fought. I wanted that to happen for so long. (No reason really)

Romance: I'm not going for the romance here. I don't really care about that anymore.

They don't really have any chemistry, for what I see. Probably in the next 4 episodes hope may arise. :D

This show always gives me a surprise. Keep it up screen writers.

This is.. just too good.

Now i'm starting to hate characters from the bottom of my heart and love some from the bottom of my heart.

Kang Ma Roo - is such a playboy. Eek. Just the way I like them. T.T

Han Jae Hee - I thought she was naive, but damn her true colors are showing slowly. I hate her. Will she cheat on every guy?

Park Jae Gil - seems like the guy who lightens up the screen whenever he appears. lol. He's just a random funny dude.

Seo Eun Gi. - My favorite after Kang Ma Roo. Seriously she's awesome. I like women like her.

Lawyer - Such an a*hole.

Plot: Stuff's happening, keeping me at the edge of the seat. Since I started watching this I can't watch anything else. Literally. It's just too good.

Daebbak!!

Nam Sang Won's killer is Se Kang Group's Chairman. - Park Ki Young.

Aah he looked so cool there.

We're getting to the end and I don't want this to end.

Can't wait for the next episode.

Such an amazing drama.

Shit..Shit.Shit...Shiiiiitttt. O_O Kang To what happened to YA bro?

The way Shunji is at the end. I felt like killing him myself. Bang Bang. Even though I liked the way he was using all his tactics and working his brain out and Kang To being all heeey besttyy. -.-

Shunji's still a heart-less screw over. Ahh. That day he shouldn't have come when Kang To finished off his Hyung.

Screw you Mok Dan. Women shouldn't exist in the world of a hero. It's dangerous for everyone around.

Mok Dan finally knows that he's Young Master, Something to be glad about?! I guess.. Romance is blooming? O_o

Like that's important right now.

And the way Shunji told off President's daughter or what ever that he's the boss around here. Totally cool brav.

Everybody now knows that Kang To is gatsikal. This is like a sad ending for me. Shunji won't keep it to himself would he? He'd tell his Dad and it'll be over for Kang To before we know it.

And now this show is... getting better. I guess. This episode made me CRAZY.

But 28 Episodes? How are they going to twist the story? How? Ottokeeeey?

Can't wait for the next episode.

Woah. Japan. Woah.

It's like such a great drama after such A LONG TIME. I've mostly dropped J-Dramas. But this one's plot is just too good. Dramas which hook me on on the first episode. I always tend to finish them.

This is probably the first time after Hana Kimi that I'm liking Oguri Shun. I hated his character in Hana Yori Dango. No special reason. I hate Kim Hyun Joon for probably the same reason. :P

But dude.. I can't really wait for this thing to air anymore. >_<

It's just too damn good.

Dumb-Struck. O_O

Okay, everybody's read the manga and all. I haven't. -.-

But woaaah. I can't believe how much my prospective changed on the show by just watching one more episode. This show just doesn't get boring for a second.

The Retarded Hyung is the Bridal Mask guy? DAYUM. I never expected that.

I-AM-NOW-RESTLESS.

I have to sleep right now. Gosh they just HAD to make me curious didn't they? .-.

Damn this show is so good. Two episodes and i'm drooling over Joo Won.

Is that woman (Mok Dan) or what ever trying to seduce every single guy on the show? :O I know that the knife was given to her by Lee Kang To, I mean that is OBVIOUS. But then comes Shunji and then the Bridal Mask guy. Who else is she going to fall in and out of love with? ._.

Get your love-life straight or you're going to cause HUGE trouble. .-.
