Tomo used to be so FINE in his younger days.. *fangirls* EDIT - Just found out he was only 20 in this drama :0 All those kiss scenes and sex scenes were really steamy. They just don't make these kind of passionate love stories anymore.
Hmm I've not watched much J dramas on folk tales so I don't have any recommendations, but you can try this Korean drama called Legend: Story of First King's Four Gods.
Hmm I am not sure what you mean by something like this so I'll suggest a few titles
Dramas all about the mood / atmosphere: Iribito Mukou no Hate Watashi no Otto wa Reitouko ni Nemutte Iru Takane No Hana Youkai Sharehouse
Dramas with historical elements or set in an older time: In This Corner of the World (2018) Karei naru Ichizoku (2007) Mi wo Tsukushi Ryouricho (2017) Wagemon: Nagasaki Tsuyaku Ibun Tenno no Ryoriban (2015) JIN Hanako to Anne
Hope you enjoy these! Feel free to reach out for more :)
A riveting and refreshing story about idol culture, with brilliant writing and believable performances. This drama will speak to everybody on so many levels. I highly recommend this gem.
Was looking for a great Jdrama to fill the void while I waited for the next episodes of Silent and came across…
That's so sweet of you, thank you! Each episode is only 15 mins so this drama isn't that long. I am glad you started watching it. It is a very beautiful healing drama <3 Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
The original is so romantic and beautiful I'm seriously doubting if they could surpass it. But I will watch this…
Same lol. The original is easily one of the most romantic J dramas, so I am doubting how this will fare. Not to mention, that was set in a time when communication wasn't as easy. But I like the lead actor so maybe this won't be that bad.
I wanted to love this, but I struggled to even like it. It went downhill in the 2nd half. I loved the FL initially and rooted for her and I think that had a lot had to do with the actress. She had an innocence and silent strength to her. But I grew to dislike her towards the end of the series. I also disliked pretty much every other character in this drama, especially both the male leads, and the so called friend Naoko. The romance was also subpar and unconvincing. The ending theme with the dogs playing was the most random thing ever, but probably the best thing about this drama. A close second, would be the character development for Shima. He went from controlling and abusive, to a much more calmer and empathetic person. Miyazawa Rie deserved a better script :(
A feel good love story with loads of life lessons and heart. The leads were beautiful together. Only issue was that it was too short. Highly recommend this for all!
