Same. Overall, the chemistry is great. I love them as a couple. But, the kisses aren’t giving me butterflies…
Warning ⚠️ Controversial opinions:
Lu Yu Xiao is charming, but I think she isn’t skilled enough yet in kissing to deliver a good kiss like Bai Lu or Zhao Lusi. Also, Chen Xing Xu is not a good kisser either, like say, Cheng Lei, Wang An Yu, or Zhang Ling He. CXX is a good actor, but not a kisser who gives you butterflies. Overall, though, the ep 19 kiss was not too bad. It was better than what I expected from them.
I love Xie Wei. What do you mean though? The forceful kiss? CXX has his charms, but I’m afraid he’s no ZLH in this respect. The kiss in ep 19 was just okay to me. But, overall, I love this couple’s chemistry.
I don't know why so many subtitles translate this way, "i like you" in Mandarin to "i love you"…
The Chinese expression seems to be similar to the idea behind the English expression “I’m falling in love with you” or “I’ve fallen for you”—which is stronger than simply liking someone and is the step or feeling that comes before saying “I love you.”
I just wonder how many characters do they have in the game and are they rotating the characters storyline? Because…
I too am impressed with how sophisticated that VR game is—the numerous storylines and characters and the square footage of the venue. It’s massive, like a theme park. That was a very expensive project for XZY and his business partner, Gong, to undertake.
The kiss felt off to me too. It felt desperate. He seemed desperate. It felt like, “Fine then. You so mad about…
Ahhh, that makes more sense than the translation I saw on iQIYI. The subtitle said, “I love you” not “I like you.” It sounds like the idea is ‘I’m falling for you, I’m falling in love with you’—a progression of feelings, still getting to know you, still getting stronger.
I just paused after that kiss @ep.19 I was suppose to feel ecstatic about it, but, I think I felt the opposite.…
The kiss felt off to me too. It felt desperate. He seemed desperate. It felt like, “Fine then. You so mad about my not kissing you before. Fine, I’ll kiss you now. I can’t take your ice-cold treatment anymore. We good now?” That’s how it felt to me. He declared that he loved her. Really? Already? I knew he liked her, admired her, but love? I feel like we missed a step. I thought they were still in the getting-to-know-you phase.
I would have liked to hear Zhao’s reason for his cheating. He claimed he still loved Zhao. So, why wasn’t she enough? Why did he stop sharing his life’s goings-on with her? Why confide in another woman if he loved Zhao? I really don’t understand the psychology of a cheating husband like this.
Kissing doesn’t equate to Chemistry. There’s a lot of people obsessed over this kissing thing instead of the…
True. I’d site “One and Only” as a great example of this. There were zero kisses in that, yet the bond and attraction between them was so 🔥 fire—gripping drama.
Also, “Under the Power” and “Miss Crow with Nr. Lizard” 🦎—two more great examples. The chemistry in “Under the Power” is one of my favorite of all time—the story, the humor, the drama. Outstanding without salacious kisses. Kisses don’t equal chemistry.
Too be honest, I don’t have a high expectation for the quality of the kisses we will get here in “Love Between Lines.” CXX doesn’t strike me as a good kisser 🤭 from what I’ve seen in various clips. (I hope he proves me wrong). But, I am loving this story so much—great acting, great chemistry, humor, lots of heart and warmth. Delightful drama so far.
i finished watching this the other day, though the last six eps were unsatisfactory. i really need a good drama…
Sniper Butterfly. Love Between Lines. Perfect Match. A Dream of Splendor. Summer Rose. CEO’s Arrange Bride. A Familiar Stranger. Shadow Love. Falling Into You. My Little Happiness.
I used to look at SML with contempt. But, hate to admit it, he’s got that X-factor, that swagger, that charisma. That lil move in the elevator sent me 😏😏😄😄 Previously, I was rolling my eyes and SMH 🤦🏾♀️ at the girlies gushing over him, but honestly I kinda get it now. Do I trust him? No. Absolutely not. He’s still shady as hell. But, just how shady and dirty is he? Certainly, his stunt with the competition was pretty unethical. Does he have any redeeming qualities though? Or is he bad to the bone? We shall see.
I’ve just finished the first episode and I’m trying to get a handle on the family dynamics. Shan Bao is the…
Correct, the men have no standing, don’t make decisions, nor run the tea business. They labor in the tea plantation, guard and serve the women and family, or can serve as government officials/military.
Seem like she masterminded it all and go away with it but ljl and RSB know she is the one
He turned abusive to his wife after the riding accident—verbally and physically abusive. I guess she had had enough and schemed to kill him. That’s all that I could piece together as this arc of the story was so poorly written.
