there are lots of dramas i've unofficially dropped...but i always seem to return to watch them. not all of them of course, but many. for me it's all about timing. cruel city, healer and secret were dramas i dropped because the timing wasn't right, but i picked them up later when i was in a better mood to watch them. i'm still holding out on bridal mask and empress ki. i've tried starting those a couple of times, but i just can't get past the first five episodes much to my chagrin...when everyone else seems to think they're great. :( i wish i would just give up on them already....

Title Reply 1988 Spoiler
I think jung hwan will be the husband based on the last episode. because JH found DS's returned confession letter…
it could also be that jh told the future husband about ds's confession letter. they were all close friends and shared information with each other. after watching ep 6, i also thought jh could be the husband based on what was said and how he acted, but it's still the beginning of the series. these writer's LOVE to troll us and the hints were too obvious. i bet that the next few episodes they'll have us think the husband is taek or even dong ryong, for that matter! we really won't know until we figure out who ds starts to like after sw.

Title The Secret Message Spoiler
Overall I enjoyed the drama. Pretty decent acting on all parts and some really cool camera work. Around episode 8,9,10, it felt like a Japanese director hijacked the drama. All of a sudden, that quirky humor Japan is known for started getting thrown in, before someone noticed and reigned it back in for the remainder of the series.

Also, not entirely sure why the directors threw that epilogue in. Perhaps to just screw with the viewers. I thought I had the ending figured out, and then that ending kind of confused me. I'd like to think that they actually met, but now I wonder if that conversation was just imagined.

i really enjoyed ep 4. taek is so adorkable. i hope there will be more of him. I love how his friends knew exactly what to say and do to comfort him after that baduk game. and i couldn't stop laughing at Kim Sung Kyun and that knight rider reference/scene.

Part of the reason I visit this website is to get realistic ratings from viewers who are currently/have watched a drama. If the ratings are decent, it will often pique my interest to watch a drama. So it irks me when childish pranksters begin to rate a show a '1' when only one episode has aired. I mean c'mon...if you found the episode that bad, then rate the episode, not the ENTIRE drama. I get that everyone is entitled to an opinion (via ratings), but I find it distasteful when a super low rating is unwarranted, especially if the viewer hasn't watched the full drama (or at least half).

Title Forget Me Not Spoiler
I'm calling the necklace Hayama gave Azusa for her birthday during their 2nd year in high school, as the cause of everyone forgetting her. During their 3rd year, when they run into each other on that corner, it falls off of her and I think that causes him to remember her the next day. But once she puts the necklace back on, his love for her can only go so far, and he has to rely more and more on pictures, videos, and notes to remind himself of her existence, until eventually the memory of her just fades away.

WTF was that ending?! Like others, was really enjoying this movie; enjoyed the flow, loved the twist, but that…
you and me both. was disappointed with the craptastic ending.

i rarely watch thai dramas, but this blew all versions out of the water...and this is coming from someone who truly enjoyed the korean version. like other viewers have mentioned, the chemistry between the leads was fantastic. this is probably what made the drama so compelling for me.

I wish this drama ended at episode 11. I would have preferred an epilogue (SJ saving Most, them revealing who…
You're not the only one who's relieved to finally be able to click 'completed' on this one. While I enjoyed the overall drama, the first two-thirds was much more engaging than the last third. Those last 5 episodes were too full of sugar and fluff to keep me thoroughly interested. IMO Shi Won's character stole the show for me. I'm kind of disappointed he was phased out like that.

That last episode made my teeth hurt it was so sweet! I guess that is actually refreshing since most Kdramas don't…
i agree. it was a cute episode, but after coming off of a few episodes that were already dripping sugar, it was just too much for me.

I'm gonna get so much hate but it's okay, TOP can't act that well..................
I liked him in commitment and tazza too, which came after 19 and iris. so his acting is improving little by little. And I thought he made a charismatic assassin in iris even if his role was more the silent killer type with few lines. He's a bit stiff in the beginning of this drama, but it's a different genre for him. But on the upside, by episode 6 he seems to loosen up and show more versatility in his role. Hopefully he keeps it up. I'm sure his acting will improve (as with all actors) as he continues trying different types of roles.

thankfully this was only 16 episodes, which quite frankly they could have ended around 12/13. can you imagine the agony if this had been extended to 20, like they often do with kdramas?

The last few episodes don't have the bells and whistles from the earlier ones, but this isn't unusual. Alot of kdramas are guilty of giving you great episodes in the beginning, then throwing in boring and/or slow ones in the middle, and wrapping it up with a fast paced/rushed finale. Admittedly the pacing has been slow, but the writing has been pretty consistent and all of the characters are so likeable (especially Shin Hyeok!!), which is why viewer ratings remain high. At this point, I don't expect any crazy plot twists for the remaining two eps, but I suppose the writers can always surprise us.

well, I hope some fan theories are right because it has been getting so draggy lately that it hurts me. Facepalming…
agree. i still think it's good, but the drama lost some of its momentum around episode 11/12 when the end goal of having the two main leads get together was 'seemingly' resolved without the usual dramaland conflict. it just rarely happens this easily and so early. We're all holding our breath trying to figure what crazy sh*t the writers have planned....if anything at all. :)

Guys, this fan theory is killing me. Pls don't let it be true!!! Do not open link if you have not watched ep 13!…
For goodness sake. This is what happens when you do a big reveal too soon and leave a drama with too many episodes to fill and not enough tension to keep up the momentum. Viewers start coming up with crazy theories. But seriously though...that would be one interesting plot twist if it actually happened. lol.

This behavior is pretty prevalent in most asian dramas that we view. This one is just more in your face and not as sugar coated as in other dramas. If you haven't already read it, ceki91 wrote an excellent article on this issue a month or two ago:

http://mydramalist.com/article/2015/09/07/patriarchy-abuse-and-gender-roles-in-asian-dramas

In this drama, as already mentioned, the abuse extends to stalking, sabotaging her dream, locking her up and exerting his will over hers.

I've only read a few chapters of the manga (which this drama is based off of), but they've already slept together twice. So that could be part of the reason he is obsessed/loves her in the manga. But I agree, it doesn't translate so well into the live action version.
