Thanks. Character names MoD: Tan-Bun TWM: Korn-Knock
Far downstream, I'd posted this about the show:
"At the risk of sounding silly, I think this series has been a both a labour and gift of love from P'Aof and all involved. It's great for all BL fans but, for the first time ever, gay men like me get to see something of themselves in a fairytale love story. I'm 53 and I didn't realise how long my inner child had been waiting for this. Just typing this makes me tear up..."
There: my embarrassment is complete and I'm off to bed.
please keep support the series even max has a girlfriend now :)the series is so good!
I'll embarrass myself and admit that there was a itty-bitty-teeny-tiny-wee-little piece of my heart that broke when I saw the YouTube vids about it but of course they deserve the same right that we all should have to find love in this life.
I will miss those little "what if" fantasy musings that played in my head sometimes when I watched them. Some little bit of the magic might be gone, but c'est la vie. They're still the same friends that they've come to be to each other over the years. I'm grateful that they've put on some wonderful performances for us, but they're actors. It's work for them and this series, I think, was their best work, yet.
Max and Tul are not a real couple and they never will be. But, because of them, I can revisit with Tan and Bun and Korn and Knock again and again... Thanks for the memories, guys. <3
i have never seen a series this beautiful before. honestly i have no words left. i'm blown away every week. i…

I just feel like we shouldnt expect high art from a bl series, I think it aims to be a feel good/entertaining…
I'm not disputing anything you say. I think it's subjective. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. I'm not telling anyone that they have to feel the way I feel, but I know that I'm not the only person who is less than impressed with it, so far. That's all. =)
uhmm.. rude..??????? just bare with it and look at the storyline and acting and chemistry and stuff then comment…

1) You started your post by calling her rude in a flippant way. Where I'm from, that is considered rude.
Quote: "just bare with it and look at the storyline and acting and chemistry and stuff then comment on it.. if you can't just leave"
2) Telling her to leave if she doesn't post according to your parameters? Rude and arrogant. I feel fairly confident in saying that you do not personally make up the posting rules here at MDL.
Quote: "this has nothing to do with any of the actors or storyline and you seem new to this I get cringed out a lot even sometimes BY THE ACTING or STORYLINE I never dared to comment"
3)Same as (2) with added marks for condescension and all-cap shouting.

LOL! Yes, let it simmer, it'll taste so much better with time!
Seriously, though, I think it would be tonally off pitch to see much "skinship" (I think that's the term in the BL community.) or "action." 1 brief, tender kiss near the end would keep all the charm this series has intact, and I'll probably swoon and sigh like a teenage girl if it happens. Very embarrassing for a 53 year old man...
(A MaxTul style make out scene would just be so wrong for this series.)
The only untolerable behavior here is yours, dude =/
How so? He's on my friend list and I didn't think he'd mind me pointing it out to him bc I didn't think he would deliberately use it. I didn't want someone jumping on him so I posted that to point out that he'd likely done it innocently. He's not fluent in English. K?
Would you like me to show you the private correspondence, too?
I will explain myself in better manner, because normally I'm lazy to translate my Czech posts on FB, I normally…
You know what's interesting? There seems to be a surprising correlation between just how fiercely people rant about how terribly Ji Soo is being treated and their Join Dates on MDL. I've seen it more than once. Fascinating....
Quote from Stanning Exo: "The people who are abusing him, (don't mind them) coz they will be the fan of him in…
Just as a way to test that, please look at how many liked your comment to show agreement and how may people liked my take on it. Neither you, nor I, can control those numbers so it seems like NOT fact is currently leading, after two days, by 13 to 0.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, indeed.
I’m going to rephrase my stance. While I understand that bullying is not a joke, but if you think about it,…
It's good to see you applying yourself and working on your position.
Talking about bullying in general, I truly think that there first needs to be specific education by teachers that is consistently reinforced about why everything from calling people names to playing tricks on others, acts of aggression, etc. are wrong; starting in simple ways and becoming more complex as students age. This way kids grow up getting very clear and age appropriate messages about the matter. The younger it starts ("Play Nice" practices in Kindergarten), the better chance it has to becoming more deeply ingrained in growing minds.
There should also be standarised policies and procedures for all schools must follow and report to their school districts with stats provided to parents on an semi or annual basis so that they get an appreciation for how often instances of bullying occur. (It would be way too long for properly describe anything like that in detail but the gist is that all students see that each and every instance is noted and then followed up with in classes by apologies and discussion/reminders/activities. It becomes a part of the academic culture. No, it won't solve every problem but young people will start getting a clearer message and might be less inclined to try it.
As for right now, the issue is complex and ultimately might best be served by looking at the nature of the bullying that occurred and/or the effects it has had on accusers. As a society, we should let people know that they won't be dismissed out of turn if they have something to reveal. Big changes are occurring around the world in terms of cases like the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the MeToo moments, just as one example, which are impacting our collective consciousness; sending a louder and louder message that coercive, manipulative, abusive, violent behaviours will no longer be swept under the rug.
I think that it's a good thing and that the only people who stand to lose are those who think they can get away with those kinds of things. If we consistently send out this message, victims might conclude that they don't have to be anonymous because they won't feel that they need fear humiliation and ridicule, as much. (That's been the case for only until very recently and it's still evolving.)
If the acts of bullying are comparable to things that are against the law in society at large like physical violence/assault, sexual violence/rape I think those acts deserve real consequences. People who are innocent can issue statements denying the specific accusations and put people on notice that any further accusations will be deal with legally, like Park Hye Soo has recently done. (I'm not claiming to know she's innocent but I feel that these are the best actions for someone who is claiming to be innocent:)
People who feel they've been falsely accused could also take their accusers to civil or criminal courts if necessary (it's happened to even anonymous accusers in Korea) for damages and such. If people get fired for an accusation and it is later determined to be without merit., the courts could order reinstatement and restitution if need be.
It's imperfect, I know, but I feel that its one of the more effective ways to deal with matters as we, as societies, move forward toward a time when such things become completely taboo to even consider trying, in the first place.
In Ji Soo's specific case, perhaps could take his words and translate them into concrete actions? He isn't going into the military for a few months, yet. To show his sincerity, perhaps he could work with someone to develop and then go and deliver speaking engagements about the harm of bullying to middle school students? That's been done in my country. Or he could offer to appear in media campaigns on the subject. He could volunteer time to rally for funding for anti-school violence campaigns. There are actually all sorts of things he could do to demonstrate being sorry that would be far more meaningful than one letter about . (Think about it for a second, even you and I have written more about it than Ji Soo has.) After his military service he could continue such activities as he demonstrates to people that he is truly remorseful. Being truly sorry and demonstrating it through actions is probably the best thing he could do for himself, his accusers and for society, at large.
That's the best response I can give, right, now to your sincere question. I look forward to reading other peoples' ideas!
(Apologies for any errors: I'm a strictly a 2 finger wonder with the keyboard and thinking it through, framing it, and typing it already took me 90 minutes. I'm knackered and I'll try to review and edit it tomorrow)
Because a bunch of bunnies with a strong inferiority complex waited 15 years for revenge against Ji-Soo. And in…
By all means, don't let me keep you from your delusions of grandeur, Oh Rabid Defender of Abusers. If Mr. Weinstein calls, I'll let him know you'll take that PR gig he offered you. Bye!
Here's another English Subbed interview with Earth and Mix that people might enjoy. I just came across it (I haven't finished watching it yet. It's around 25 min. long):
