Put aside the fact that it's a bad adaptation, the acting is also pretty shocking; I'm not sure if it could've lasted as a short series. But i agree the manga itself was a struggle to get through without popping a vein from being so annoyed hahaha I feel like Aihara Miki writes a lot of super problematic plot lines; yet here i am reading and watching them all

I think though, the craziness of the manga gives reason to why all the romantic relationships are all over the place and start with toxicity. It also made everyone "the bad guy" so to speak, whereas in the drama it kinda feels like Junko just is just keeping Takane on ice for some time even though he is really genuine and honest with everything.

I agree; the first few episodes had really good, solid, emotional side stories which helped main character building. But then near the end it just seemed super rushed to add extra dramatical elements before finishing up. The second couple I was like why are you even together what are the motivating factor for this relationship?? Same went for the relationship with Nurse Sakai and Doctor Kisugi; from an audience perspective I just felt like there wasn't really enough to justify these couples coming together
