Thanks for answering. I gotten burned so many time with Mandarin and Japanese subs I don't even start a drama unless I know it's finished. It's a shame. I really love Joe as an actor and seams like too many of his later dramas have been dropped by translators.
Apparently Soo Hyuk is a good guy IRL so maybe that's why he never gets the girl.... just joking. How the heck are they going to pull off a serial killer getting the girl?! I mean even if it was in another life we are talking Asian drama where Karma is a "thing", I'll try watching just to see how the writers handle THAT. If they pull it off maybe there's hope for my favorite evil vampire...
I enjoyed him in Refresh Man, hopefully, he'll be cast as a ML in a romantic comedy again. This is why I think outing a person is wrong. Unless I'm invited into the bedroom to participate it's none of my business what happens behind closed doors.
I too am having a hard time getting through Eternal Love Of Dream. I have to say I started my love of Asian dramas with Taiwanese dramas.... you know "the classics". Just click on the MDL EXPLORE at the top of the page and filter for dramas, most popular, and Taiwan; you'll see them on the first page Meteor Garden. Mars, It Started With A Kiss, Devil Beside You, Autumn's Concerto, Fated to Love You, Why Why Love... I still go back and watch them when I'm in a slump. The production value was terrible but the stories were fun, and the acting was, I don't want to say natural, but looser, or maybe freer, not as stiff as you see in Chinese dramas. Yes, the comedy can be pretty far out there and silly-stupid but they also had stories like The Rose a great drama I don't think could be made nowadays. At any rate if you are looking for something fun and different give them a try... I recommend starting with Mars.
I've just started this, I'm on episode 28! : ) I normally wait until I've finished a drama to leave a comment,…
That sounds just like Lee Bang Won the lead in Six Flying Dragons. Yoo Ah In did such a good job Bang Won became one of my favorite historical drama characters... I've been on the fence about watching this but I think I'm going to give it a try because of your comment. Thanks.
The production value was great for those drama during their time xD I wouldn't call it bad, just archaic.I mean…
IMHO, Hana Yori Dango is tied with Meteor Garden as being the best live versions of the manga. BoF made the FL pretty pathetic, but I loved the side romance between her friend and the ceramic guy.
I was into Japanese Movies way before I discovered J-dramas. I think my first one was Kimi wa Petto (2003) I remember thinking I'd want Masumoto to be mine too.
I feel that this video is misleading . The title says 7 Japanese dramas for beginners meaning the video should…
I think it's okay. These are the dramas that got MDL members into J-drama which means that they are very good. (Except for maybe Morning Call, but that's just me.)
People in the poll chose Kimi wa Petto (2003) but all the pics used are from the remake.Interestingly, this seems…
I can't remember if mine was Kimi Wa Petto (2003) or Nadame Cantabile but I'm pretty sure it was Kimi wa Petto... I remember thinking if Matsumoto Jun was at my door I'd keep him too. LOL
I agree with you Japan has a very low birth rate so their government is worried. As a result they have policies…
Yes I do. If she is the victim of a sexual assault or having a baby will cause physical or economic harm a woman can get an abortion without the father's signature. So basically in Japan, abortion is legal during the first 2 trimesters and it's not a problem to get a doctor to sign off on oneduring the 1st trimester; but once a woman hit's the 12-week mark there has to be something very wrong for a woman to be able to get one.
