most people are hating on this drama because they think it is a trend how other people don't like it. This drama…
Some love it some hate it. Some just simply don't like it & that's fine too lol. Different vibes for different minds. There are valid criticisms for the show.
Welcome to the same boat! The first 25 episodes are great but it goes downhill from there. I watched this when it aired and I was pretty disappointed. The cast is really amazing though.
This had been recommended to us when we first found this site a bit over a yr ago. Dropped it early, creepy romance,…
My problem is with the characterization, nonexistent plot line, & lack of development. The romance does not make any sense. The two main characters are like loud dry paint.
Can someone tell me why doom at your service isn't doing well in South Korea and always hitting the rock bottom…
Depends on your preference. I’m not into god-human relationship storyline in dramas because it tends to be the same thing run over the mill storyline which always involves an ancient man and young pitiful woman but if you like supernatural stuff it might be up your alley. Try the first 3 episodes. I find the tone of the drama mundane & not much stuff is happening. The dialogue reads like cryptic codes lol.
I’m not sure about the Knetz & audience reaction to the drama. Maybe they too are tired of these stories lol or maybe it’s just this one.
Park Bo Young is such an amazing actress but a her drama projects are a snooze fest. The story definitely has potential but the it’s stuffed with tropes that are hamfisted. The writers decided to make the main character pitiful in 100 different ways in the first 30 min of ep 1. She has terminal illness, is ambushed & assaulted by her cheating boyfriend’s wife who’s pregnant, gets yelled at by her misogynistic boss with no one to defend her, some pervert films her on the train, and then gets drenched in the rain walking home alone. Not only that, she’s an orphan who has a annoying money begging brother. I’m suppose to feel sorry for TDK but I’m underwhelmed by the execution lol. It lacks nuance. The dialogue is stilted & dry. TDK & MM first encounter/meet isn’t exciting either. The visual effects are nice along with the set design, specifically MM’s house. But you can only go so far with aesthetics if the writing is lacking. I’m struggling with the first episode.
What a pleasant surprise this drama turned out to be! It is true I started it for Roy, but by Ep 10 I am was completely…
Dong Na & her mom were no pushover. They always fought for what they believe in & stuck to their principles all the way through. Yep, 10/10 for Roy in suits lol. He makes Gu Fei look effortlessly attractive!
I was apprehensive about watching this because of the age difference. VC is still a kid. It’s understandable…
There is physical contact (ex: hand holding , hug, sitting/standing & facing in close proximity ) but the romantic aspect happens later in the show around ep 30 & it’s minimal. There’s no passionate intimate kiss scenes.
I’d say try the first 10 episode to get a feel of the story. Gu Fei starts catching feelings for DN around ep 9 but nothing ever gets physical between the two until ep 24 & the confession between the two is ep 30.
It’s funny because Roy Chiu portrays the feelings & act of love exceedingly well but because of the age difference in this drama, there’s an obvious constraint.
So many people would watch this without the romance tag. Romance tag should not be thereYou should watch this…
I was apprehensive about watching this because of the age difference. VC is still a kid. It’s understandable why people would not want to watch this. I finished the show & like you say the romance is minimal. I wonder why that aspect was included but I suppose the romance stuff is in the novel.
I think if it was strictly non-romantic like My Mister, I think people would ease up & watch this.
The end with GF & DG conversation on the rooftop was heartfelt. I’d say this drama is easily rewatchable. Although some last few episode were a bit lackluster, the drama overall was engaging & good.
I’ve watched through ep. 34 and only saw two very awkward hugs, one compassionate (much needed) hug while she…
I watched My Mister & never felt any cringe though lol. Mostly because it didn’t involve any romance but the thing is IU is an adult so the age gap didn’t bother me. It’s funny you mentioned that drama because that’s a bit of vibe I got from watching My Treasure lol.
There's a romance tag, please tell me it's not between the minor and the middle aged man? I don't mind age gaps,…
It’s between the two lead actors. Age gap is jarring & comes off as a tad awkward. The romantic aspect happens in the last 5 episodes but it’s very minimal. But most of the time, the lead characters like & care for each other by doing non-romantic things. There’s no heavy skinship or super intimate scenes.

This drama could easily been without romance but I really enjoyed GF & DN moments.

So to put things into context regarding the romance…
…(spoilers below).
I think if it was strictly non-romantic like My Mister, I think people would ease up & watch this.
But yes, WQ plays Dong Na believably well.
