I really wanted to love this despite the quirkiness of Japanese OST’s, I’m not really a fan of the way they…
hmm the dating ban doesn't only exist because of that though. it's also to make sure the idol isn't distracted/overworked and to prevent potential scandals from arising. idk how much you follow kpop or anything, but there have been so many scandals recently from exes against idols, whether true or false. i mean, kim seonho just had that huge one last year.

sorry but i was way too bored with this series. i usually like slow paced thrillers and this one had some really interesting concepts. i loved the maturity of it compared to other thrillers i've seen. but i think it was too slow for me? i tried so many times to watch and even when i was interested, i'd literally fall asleep. i think i fell asleep three times within the same episode. it's a shame because i like the cast and i was excited for this to come out.

I bet if the ML isn’t conventionally attractive, this show would have much lower rating, tbh. It kinda glorifies…
i think most serial killers were good looking because it was one of the ways in which they lured their victims in. most people prefer dating good looking, hygienic, and charming people and once others got vulnerable, then that's when they'd kill. if he wasn't conventionally attractive then he'd probably have a lot less victims, though i see what you mean by glorifying.

will this be getting a s2/part 2 like most netflix dramas have been recently? or is it only going to be 10 eps? i don't want to start it now if i'm going to have to wait for another part.

i tried so hard to like this movie for hashimoto kanna and yosuke sugino, but wow this movie was bad. i don't even usually say movies are "bad" but this one was. weak story, weak characters, very poor and confusing editing with hundreds of cuts, bad cgi, unrealistic anime acting, jokes that never landed for me except maybe one. idk it was just so meh. it feels like a weak version of kyou kara ore wa.

i love how no one is questioning HOW TF akane survived an assault rifle spray point blank, bleeding out, and able to crawl a block and a half to lie on aguni's lap LOL. then how ann gets shot twice and "dies." i mean ofc jdrama plot armor is to the max...but come on now. chishiya and niragi get shot, slowly bleed out, but still live in time, sure. akane bleeding out of 50 holes in her body and still crawls AND speaks. now that's a bit of a stretch. maybe controversial but it would've been nice to have at least one character die so we could have some emotional impact otherwise all of ep 7 feels like a fluke.

Quite boring I even fell asleep a few times - 8.9, come on?This is like a 6/10 at best.Flat story, way too much…
i think it deserves an 8.9, it's subjective after all. it's unfortunate you were disappointed though, but i also do agree there was too much talking. kento's overacting LOL, he was like that in the witch game too. sometimes i cringe, but i also know he's a good actor outside of his anime moments. if you want to see him overact then you have to watch his movie "kingdom" 😭

I can forgive some writing oopsies now and then but the whole “nope, meteorite.” like seriously wow. how could…
the joker doesn't really play any significant part in the manga so i wouldn't read the whole thing just for that. that is a good point though that he seemed so calm that his friends died, despite not remembering the borderlands. maybe he remembers how he felt or something lol otherwise it's a bit of a plot hole. though i personally liked that it was a meteor and more spiritual/purgatory than it being some futuristic simulation or smth.

The joker card at the end means they are being fooled (like the whole meteorite story is just a trick and the…
i'm pretty sure the meteorite WAS the real story and the borderlands was just the land between life and death for all the victims. idk if the fireworks were actually real fireworks or they just thought they were but were actually the meteorite? the car crash for his friends DID seem real, but i think that was the whole point. it was the queen of hearts trick that not only tricked arisu, but the viewer as well.

as for the joker, the joker may be entirely different from the manga joker since it didn't show up at all in the series. but i think if they were to have a sequel to s2, not following the manga, they'd probably just film a final movie. i doubt they'd have enough story for a s3 and even then, i don't think they'd want to reverse the entire s2 ending. i think that that's the final ending they want, especially because it makes the most sense without going into some alien whatever vr headset territory that they poked fun at before. i personally think they answered enough to get an understanding of what happened without over-explaining everything.

i often really struggle with watching kdramas too! i usually prefer jdramas and have only really had a "spark" for kdramas maybe twice. but i would say attorney woo and racket boys are both really great fluffy-types of dramas. they're both incredibly heartwarming without ever feeling slow or boring (at least imo). rackets boys is my only 10/10 kdrama because they genuinely felt like family by the end. attorney woo has a very "kdrama" feel, and with a super super adorable main couple. many people called him boring, but he is the definition of the perfect man.

however, within the top choices, if you're not really looking for angst or sadness or horror then i'd probably skip over happiness, hospital playlist, and move to heaven? but maybe you might like it anyway.

Title The Glory
Is it because of the revenge/violence part?
yeah, i have no idea what the drama is about at all (apparently some age gap teacher student relationship thing?), but based on the description alone, the violent school bullying leading to elaborate revenge plan for sure sounds jdrama to me. i mean...even the age gap teacher student relationship sounds jdrama to me lmao
