lmao i read the description and i thought it sounded like a somewhat gorey/action-heavy movie so i checked the tags and i wasn't expecting the first one to literally just be "blood everywhere"
Shun isn't toxic at all - I don't get where you're coming from.
don't tell that to me lol. i always thought he was great besides a couple moments, but that's only natural. i've just never seen a character with a mindset like his and it's fascinating to see it in contrast with her more materialistic workaholic lifestyle. i always found him to be quite relatable to my own mindset. he was quite supportive of her just in his own way.

a lot of people don't like him/hate him because he was quite controlling of the fml at times, like telling her she shouldn't do this or that (esp involving her career and social media) just because he didn't care for it, generally not that supportive of her, and also being wishy washy about liking her. at least that's what i usually read in other's comments. if you scroll down you'd probably see some. it's really sad because i really adored his character and his mindset, but everyone else seemed to hate it
idc what yall say, but i just can't hate shun at all. it's not just because it's ryusei nor is it just because he's an attractive chef man. there's simply something about his personality that truly resonated with me. yeah i suppose he would be considered "toxic" and controlling and i did roll my eyes at him on multiple occasions, but i still can't hate him. there's a lot of morals and ideals and his certain mindset that i've almost never come across in a drama that makes him so fascinating. he feels...too real?
what else can we expect from Sion Sono's works? his works mostly filled with gore, nudity, sexuality, twisted…
lmao exactly, he's infamous for a reason. somehow he makes the most cruel, mature, dark, sad, and absurd stories into introspective pieces (at least imo).
i'm assuming you haven't watched this movie, but it has pretty tame "gore" except certain scenes that is easily skippable. nudity is pretty bare too. there are nude scenes, but sex scenes are covered up. as for tortured women ummm...yeah maybe hard pass on this one
idm the overacting cuz anime and i'm enjoying it quite a bit, but ohmygod the main guy is so irritating. why does he keep screaming and constantly interrupting the games? it's not even his money she's gambling and she obviously knows how to win. dude needs to chill out tbh
i actually really enjoyed it despite it just being violent gore with a weak plot. the twist certainly got me tbh. i wasn't bored for the entire runtime and the ending felt as satisfying (and sad) as you can get with this type of story
love this, i always get so nervous giving recs because either they never check it out or my worse fear coming true that they won't like the rec i meticulously picked out for them. i usually try to cater it to their tastes as best as i can. but the tradeoff is if they do like it, it's soooo much fun talking to them about it (or even better if we watch it together)
this might be out of place but can someone spoil me if there's any romance in this show? or is it just thriller…
there's a little bit of romance between seo yeon and joon young. nothing like a kiss, but heavily implied that they like each other/they ask each other out on a date by the end
