which ones would you recommend the most?? So far I have watched KKK93 & KKK03 and Papakatsu. Rn I'm starting Lipstick.
good choice with Lipstick, it’s one of my favorite from him along with KKK93. I’d also recommend Kono yo no Hate though I should warn you that it’s his (or probably japanese) darkest drama. Miseinen is really good too, it starts off quite slow but gets intense in the 2nd half. I haven’t seen much of his 2000s works, but I recommend Bara no nai Hanaya and Love Shuffle, those are the 2 dramas that brought his talent to my notice.
after watching half of his dramas i feel like his main mentality is "men are weak and friendship (especially women's friendship) is the strongest thing in this universe"
just finished it. yeah it's a Nojima Shinji drama alright lol there's a lot of similarities to his previous dramas, but still quite different. it was like an onion, just keep peeling layer after layer, secret after secret until the very last episode. The ending was kinda weak imo but overall i enjoyed it. 8/10.
Also so much props to the composer that did the soundtrack for this drama, beautiful job!! I’d love to listen the whole album separately but I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t even know if it has an album.
Oh I’m assuming you haven’t watched the 1993 one then? Or was it a sarcastic question? (Sorry I can’t really tell). Well in 1993, he was a total psychopathic asshole that suffered the lack of love from his childhood, which was really pathetic. It was hard to watch and I could see why it affected him in 2003 but I’m glad the writer let him back and gave him a good development.
Planning to watch this but how is the nudity? I usually watch my dramas in the living room and I don't want things…
In case you still need to know, the nudity is mild. although there is a character always walks around the house naked, there are no female nipples or genitals shown (those are all cleverly covered). Also there’s a sex scene at the end of Ep2 that lasts for about 2 seconds.
Nana and Mugi are both my girl crushes so of course this is on my watchlist. no words can describe how excited i was when i first heard they would be in 1 movie and when i read the plot lol well and when i saw the trailer as well.
Yeah it was good, i was surprised it was that good lmao. imo It’s very good at balancing the comedy, the mind-blowing, the heart-warming and the romantic elements in one drama. And the chemistry between couples are good enough to make you root for them (and feel heartbroken because of them)
It’s dark in a very... weird way (I’m not complaining tho). There’s only 2 eps that are not dark which are 6 and 10 if I remember correctly. I thought ep 9 would be less dark but then the last few minutes gave me all the creeps thinking about all the possibilities could happen.
If there’s one thing I learned from this spin-off, it’s probably is that Mikoto and Takauji don’t belong to the world where they don’t end up with each other.
Definitely check it out if you like Takauji x Mikoto. And watch ep 10 if you want a sequel of Todome no Kiss.
As the one who added the drama and made most of the current edits, I only included information that is available…
thank you for adding this drama to MDL, i wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't here. while searching for subs of this drama, i happened to bump into its page on jdorama.com and saw a cast list of 23 actors/actresses. unfortunately, the characters' names are written in kanji and my japanese is not good enough to translate them so i wasn't sure if i should add them without any characters' names :-/
All characters are so likeable, wow. That was a fun watch. I just really appreciate the healthy competition of the 3 male leads in this drama. no ill intentions. they just purely want happiness for Junko <3
it's now rated by 250+ users and ranked #126. though i still can't find it in the top movies list.
Ok, thanks. I just found it at #29 in the Top Movies list, that’s great. When i said it was ranked #126 because it says so on this page, in the movie details section. So I went and searched and didn’t find it at #126 in the Top Movies, it was confusing. Maybe that “#126” is supposed to mean the Top Overall list?

Saiko was the cutest, i love her so much.
