I was very reluctant to watch this show at first, since the first kdrama that made me fall in love with it was Love Rain, I only wanted to watch shows with Jang Keun Suk or Yoona in it. My tutor kept recommending me this, so in the end, there was an offer and I bought this cd.
I was just going to watch it to pass time. BOY, that was one of the most dangerous decisions ever. After the 2nd episode, I stuffed my homework in a corner and started racing through this show like crazy. I couldn't stop.Whenever I stopped I thought bout this day in day out! I marathonned this show till I couldn't remember where I stopped, and though I told my mum I would watch it with her, I hehe didn't. (though i still rewathced it with her after that). Okay, all these aside. i think you get my drift, this drama was hands-down AMAZING.

Plot: It's the typical rich-guy-poor-girl drama, but I happen to love those dramas a lot! It absolutely doesn't hurt that the leads have an AMAZING CHEMISTRY THERE

Story: Basically, it's about 5 not-so-smart students with different backgrounds, mostly all from poor, problematic families, with problems in their way of achieving their true dreams. A lawyer comes to the school as a teacher and takes the 5 students as a special class. The way he teaches is really unique and cool, I laughed A LOT! It was even more touching to see how students grow under, how they hated him at first but slowly began to understand and see the true sides of one another, how even teachers who used to look down on them started empathising with and helping them, and how all of them helped one another overcome their own family and relationship problems. The romance in this drama isn't so strong though it is still visible, but the rest of the drama makes up for it IN FULL! I still cry buckets of tears (joy & sadness) when I rewatch it

Acting - overall impressive. The cast was experienced; those who weren't were still very good. I want to commend the 5 students because they looked pretty young when filming the drama, but their acting is completely realistic and beliavable!! The teachers, especially the two main ones, convey their emotions and thoughts perfectly as well, and make you put yourself in their shoes.

Music - I loved it too! When I search the OSTs it brings back many memories, and lots of the songs talk about getting up again after failing many times, and about achieving your dreams - I find it really touching and motivating! All I think is lacking is a sad, emotional song to bring more tears of sadness to your eyes, which is why I'm not giving it a full 10 :) (don't be mistaken, there are still emo songs)

Rewatch value - As long as I have the time I wouldn't mind rewatching it. This is the type of drama where you wouldn't mind rewatching ANY episode, so if you feel like rewatching ep 7 out of the blue, you'll enjoy it the same

Overall - It was a fantastic drama!!! Wonderful acting, inspiring plot, touching and lively music - it was all FABULOUS ^^ There are just a few miscommunications here and there that brought down the 10 to a 9. Especially the romance part - romance to me is incredibly important cuz I love shipping couples so much, which is also partly why I didn't give it a 10. But considering that I love romance so much but am still giving it a 9 though the romance is lacking compared to other shows, speaks volumes about how amazing the rest of the story is :D If you're not a bigger for romance, or at least you don't need romance for it to be a great show, I think you will really love this show. Especially if you love bromance and relationships between students and teachers, this is perfect. No kidding. Give it a chance, I promise it won't disappoint :)

Well, basically, I felt a need to write a review for this show. When I think about it, Heirs wasn't SUCH A DISASTER, neither did it live up its hype as it had its own strengths too (along with its many flaws). I didn't like it alot though, mainly because park shinhye's acting (really sorry psh fans, understand that you must have your own reasons for liking her).

Let's start off saying, this show had SOOOO much potential. It had a wide selection of talented actors and actresses as well as its fair share of enjoyable OSTs. I'm not kidding - as much as I grew to hate kimtan though I loved him at the start, Lee Minho is as talented an actor you can get. I really wanted the super-popular woobin to see what was so great bout him - and he didn't disappoint! DIdn't like his character at the start but grew to root for him and feel for him :') an cry for him too.Kang Haneul and Choi Jin Hyuk did a great job playing their roles Hyoshin and ChoiWon (love rivals too), the girl they loved, Hyunjoo did a fab job too. One of the few times I remembering tearing and crying in the show was because of them! so *applause* for them! Kang Minhyuk and Krystal did a GREAT JOB as Chanyoung X Bona, absolutely loved them , they're one of the reasons I kept watching. I loved Kimtan's and Eunsang's mums together too. THey're so adorable! ALso one of the pairs that kept me through the show. Park Hyunsik fro ZE:A proved that idols can act too! He was so cute and I loved him lots as Jo Myungsoo
