This is a solid drama and JJH and KDW are solid actors. But I'm used to feasting on ultra premium cream of the crop quality from writer Jung Seo Kyung. I've watched her works Little Women, The Handmaiden, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Decision to Leave, The Truth Beneath, Thirst, etc and those are incomparably better. I can't fault the director either, bc Kim Hee Won is an excellent director.
I think Jeong Seo Kyung tried doing something more mainstream, but it's not hitting as hard as her past works. Also, JJH and KDW can't carry as hard as Chungmuro actors. And I know there's probably going to be a plot twist bc that's her style, but I don't think even the most stellar ending will change the nature of this drama, which feels somewhat generic and derivative of American political shows. Don't get me wrong though, I do appreciate the tender moments and beauty of JJH and KDW.
"Will there be romance?" Well, he's holding her hand in the poster. And in other photos, they're gazing at each other under umbrellas in the rain and walking together by the river, etc. There's at least going to be some hinting, subtext. They might not kiss, but there's going to be some tension, at least on his end.
I haven't read spoilers or fan theories, so the adoptive dad (white hair) seems suspicious. It was suspicious that the old man was so adamant Suyeol not talk to his mother. Also, there seemed to be potential creepiness when he took a photo of the girl he was fostering.
I Have a Lover is a great melo romance. The leads are beautiful and great at acting: Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo. The female lead becomes a cold hearted woman and loses her memory, and she and her husband fall in love again.
Jingoo has more screen time and a deeper relationship with Yeojin than Hana. He's been Yeojin's righthand man his whole life. He went full bodyguard mode and protected her when protesters were throwing eggs at her. I feel like a stoic, loyal bodyguard role would suit him more.
This drama is really fun, and Park Eun Bin and Seol Kyung Gu's acting is on fire, but this feels like two different dramas: one is a serial killer dark comedy and the other is a serious political medical drama.
Again, Ji Soek has NOTHING TO DO with that hoe is not his problem . He has his revenge to plan, go after the bad…
If this is 102 episodes, I trust Jiseok will not betray Hana. But if this is 120 eps, like the rumor, then Jiseok will probably switch sides to extend the plot 🙄
Honestly, I'm glad it's Jingoo saving Seyoung and not Jiseok 😂 I know Jiseok has feelings for Seyoung, but I don't want Seyoung to have a happy ending with him. He's too good for her 😠The shaman told Seyoung to go west (to Jiseok) if she wants a good life, and she didn't, so I hope she doesn't get a happy ending.
I predict Jiseok will offer to run away and leave behind their greed and revenge and start over, but she will reject him and commit more crimes and end up in an insane asylum and regret it for the rest of her life.
Thoughts; - At this point, even the scriptwriter has given up on robot Jingu and is giving all the lines and action to Jiseok. - I was glad when Hana rejected Eunchong bc it's temporary and it gives her the power. The tables are turned! She was trampled and criticized as a bad parent, but now Grandma realizes how important Hana is and is on her knees begging Hana to come back. - My ending would be Hana and Jiseok stealing the company from Grandma and Hana becoming the CEO. Then she can pass on the company to Eunchong. - I think Evil Hana would look better with a red lip than a nude lip.
Lol I love that we all like melo eyes Jiseok more than cardboard robot Jingu. The actor who plays Jiseok is no acting genius, but he can portray emotions with depth and nuance unlike Jingu.
She's an adult, but she is not independent. Who is going to look after the baby while she works? Her family. And…
Of course not! But she is being frustratingly naive and unrealistic. She needs all the help she can get. She can't have the baby without help, no matter how much she wants to.
And she will definitely have the baby and create a happy family with DS. But the baby will make the evil Grandma cause a lot of problems.
yes did take a lot of ep. but it happened only in 4-5 months
Yep! There were multiple times she should have been made a permanent employee. She's more competent than the whole team combined lol. It was getting a little ridiculous.
She's an adult, but she is not independent. Who is going to look after the baby while she works? Her family. And…
Childcare is very expensive. She can't afford it unless she lives rent-free at her parents' house. However, you're right that she could afford it with MG's child support. But it will still be extremely difficult to raise a child without help from family.
Yes, GH is being naive in saying the child has nothing to do with MG.
the FL is an adult grown woman almost 30 yrs old . she decide to have the baby . her family can have a conversation…
She's an adult, but she is not independent. Who is going to look after the baby while she works? Her family. And if she doesn't work, who's going to pay for food and rent? Her family. She can't have the baby without her family's support. I'm pro-life, so obviously I think her family should support her, but if her family doesn't support her, she literally can't afford to have the baby.
I binge watched all the episodes, and I'm impressed with Han Groo's acting and character. Yes, Hana is mistreated, but she's not a doormat. She's always standing up for herself and fighting back. I love her spunk.
My prediction is that the real daughter is not dead and will come back to reveal all the sins of Myeongji. Then, she might die again, lol.
So many reasons why this drama is good: - Jingu is good looking - Eunchong is adorable - Veteran queens are playing Yeojin and Myeongji. - Veteran king is playing Seongho - The newcomer playing Jiseok is good at playing an angsty character - The premise is satisfying and unique
The 8 Show was more unique and thought provoking than Squid Game 2, but The 8 Show is depressing so I understand why it didn't get popular. Squid Game 2 is alright, but I don't love any of the characters as much as I did in season 1.
Edit: Also, why didn't Gihun just promise to give some of his previous winnings to the contestants?
It would be cool if Dansu and Gonghee left and made their own company and became more successful than Dansu's grandma's company. But I don't think that will happen.
Also, I'm pleasantly surprised by Park Sangnam's (Dansu) acting. He's quite good. I have high expectations for his future.

Gayoung) is great at acting and she plays a strong female lead!
And she will definitely have the baby and create a happy family with DS. But the baby will make the evil Grandma cause a lot of problems.

Jiseok is obviously seducing Seyoung to use her to get revenge. I'm looking forward to Jiseok being conflicted and tortured when he enacts revenge on his beloved sister. You guys, he has repressed feelings for her 😩
