I accidentally found this drama, and I'm glad I did! The story was well written, well acted, and fast paced. The…
Japanese dramas are usually around 10-12 episodes, this drama in particular just happens to be shorter than the average amount of episodes lol. Honestly when it comes to jdramas, 10-12 episodes are perfect really and jdramas rarely ever have filler. There's that and the average length for one episode of a jdrama is around 40 minutes.
Should I watch this or "Parallel" first? I'm confused. :-(
This first.
Pasting @Vina95's comment: Todome no Kiss is the main series. The Todome no Parallel is more of a "what if" spin off. Very short episodes. Since the plot says the main guy travels 7 days back, its not really a spoiler. Todomo no Parallel goes more into what happens to everyone else left behind when he travels back 7 days. Its interesting. The final episode of Todome no Parallel is different since its 1 year later after Todome no Kiss' ending in episode 10 basically. So watch all 10 of Kiss, then the last of Parallel.
Can somebody give a full review on this drama? Been holding on to this drama for quite a while and I've heard nothing but reviews on how bland it is. It has Satomi and Sota in it so I'm really curious
I kinda wished they gave more backstories to Hiyama & Yanagawa instead of their "introduction" in the beginning.…
iirc Hiyama says he stabbed his father? And I don't think they ever followed up on that or told us the backstory for all of that.
I also really didn't like how after Rio's health was fine and all four friends broke it off. Hiyama telling Rio we live in different worlds and Rio just went "right, lol kthxbye". I think it's very unrealistic for the two of them to just go on their seperate ways like that ESPECIALLY Hiyama. Made zero sense honestly.
Same thing goes for Yanagawa & Mai. Them kissing felt super forced honestly and I never liked the dumb tradition they have in the club. Rio kissing Sakuto in the beginning was unnecessary too imo.
Just few things that's making me not giving it a 10.
I kinda wished they gave more backstories to Hiyama & Yanagawa instead of their "introduction" in the beginning. While I get the purpose of their introduction is to show they also have a complex, a mother complex to be specific, I would've liked the drama to tell us more about them, especially Hiyama.
For those who are confuse with the ending:It was unfortunately implied in the drama that Sakuto lose all his memories…
Well said; I read it all the way through. It truly is a beautiful, thought-provoking drama. I honestly like Nojima Shinji's take on it more, the original makes it more depressing and it would only break my heart more if Sakuto ended up in that way.
i can't believe that all she did in 2019 was pure CM and modelling.. i missed her acting..
my guess is that she just wanted a break for a while. she's already done lots of dramas and movies and has had a long career so maybe she wanted to have a break. this is just me assuming of course, i'm not saying she's done whatsoever ofc, i highly doubt, just purely my guess.
if you skip the ending, you might be the devil I think
But agreed, I definitely want a second season!!
