Fukuda Yuichi is a great director, he does lots of this exaggerated comedy style. He's the one who directed Kyou Kara Ore Wa! Check out My Boss My Hero (highly recommended!) I just watched Kasane. Her work in shoujo manga adaptations are generally solid but her acting in Kasane is amazing! I think she, just like Yamazaki Kento, should move on from those shoujo manga roles she keeps getting and take on more serious/adult roles because she is too talented for your average shoujo manga live action movie. She really shines in these dark and action roles.
